He was either doing that or attending meetings and visits. His reasoning is very reasonable. She groaned and stopped mid-sentence. Even though I’m not very close to him, I feel terrible for him since he’s been a burdened King who hasn’t had much pleasure. “It seems that her remarks had a greater impact on Ella, as she shed a few tears.
Everything the King was feeling, from his grumpiness to his pain, was the consequence of his precarious situation. Poor King…. She lowered her head and wiped away a tear.
“I wish there was anything I could do to assist” echoed through the room. The moment she let the words fall from her mouth, a thought came to her. She glanced at Diana with wide, sparkling eyes. Oh, no! Possibly, there was something she could do that would be really helpful!!!
“What if she prepares some tea for him?” Ella grinned and said, “Nothing; I just… I just have an idea.” This time, however, instead of praying for him to go slumber, she would ask God to make his inner wolf peaceful and at peace. Yes! Since the Moon goddess always grants her wishes, that strategy has a chance of succeeding.
“Do you know the cave he’s being brought to? “Her voice trailed off, and she jumped to her feet. “Of course,”
“Can you take me there? ” Diana sprang to her feet at Ella’s question.
“I don’t get it. We don’t understand why you’d want to visit such place. ” She looked perplexed and shocked and asked.
“I….. um, I’m going to try to make the King something that will soothe him down. I can’t say for sure if it would work, but I’d like to give it a shot. In that case, would you be so kind as to drive me there? “The tone of Ella’s voice was full of excitement.
” It’s becoming dark, and it’s possible that Ella and the King have already transformed, “Diana said, shaking her head. “You’re not allowed to…”
“Can I give it a go anyway?”
” Please…. Please, give me a chance to accomplish anything. “Diana was taken aback by the plaintive look in her eyes and her obvious need for assistance. As she looked down, she shook her head.
“Fine. I won’t, however, accompany you into the cave. This is something I’d only bring up because…”
“Yeah: yes. To each his own, but that’s great with me. You’re really welcome. ” Ella yelped, “I’ll go prepare the tea now,” and scampered out of the room.
The cave was dark and silent, and once they arrived, the Physician put up a fireplace to light the area up. With Viscar and the Physician in front of him, Spenser was seen standing against the wall, ready the shackles.
That they were preparing to shackle him like a useless animal, an animal that would soon become uncontrollable, upset him so deeply.
Carcus, the physician, spoke as if he had been reading the King’s fear,
“This chain was made from one of the strongest metals, My King. I just have this belief it’d be strong enough to hold you down until the full moon has passed.”
Spenser said nothing, but the lines rang familiar from countless previous encounters over the years.
The realization that he was going to transform into someone he despised caused a heaviness in his chest. He held his head in pain and grunted in protest.
Spenser motioned for Viscar to back off as he approached.
“I need the shackles now,” he growled. After giving the Physician a quick look, Viscar focused back on the chains and attempted to move quickly.
He finished up and approached the King, his face etched with fear and resentment. That he had to be the one to complete these chores irritated him greatly.
Spenser told Viscar to hurry up and get to work when he saw that the King was hesitating, and the latter complied; with the Physician’s help, they fastened the King’s hands to the wall on either side.
His legs were also chained, giving him the appearance of a man on the verge of becoming a beast.
Spenser emitted a muffled moan as another wave of pain flooded his brain, and the Doctor could see that the Full Moon was already shining brightly above.
The King scowled, “You two need to depart.”
Spenser let out a low growl as his knees buckled and he fell to the floor.
There was a rattling sound, but the shackles stayed put. Even though Viscar had grown accustomed to this scene, seeing the King go through it broke his heart. In between gasps, Spenser told Viscar, “You should leave,” but Viscar shook his head.
Ignoring the thoughts that sought to bring up what had occurred the previous time, he said, “Argh! “Spenser let out another roar as the veins in his neck started to rise.
“LEAVE!! ” It was clear that his mood was changing as he let out a low, angry growl. To express his silence, Viscar grunted and cleared his throat. The King’s resolve began to crumble before his very eyes. As Carcus saw the shackles were beginning to give, he began to retreat.
As the King moved fast, the sounds of bones breaking, muscles straining, and clothing tearing away from flesh could be heard. He let out a series of roars, baring the razor-sharp fangs that had grown in for his canine teeth. His eyes shone a fiery crimson, and furs sprang from his body. He was in agony and fuming with rage. When Viscar looked away, he saw a large, white wolf with crimson eyes standing where the King had been. He tried not to appear shocked.
It was quite clear this time that it wasn’t Spenser but rather a cursed, bloodthirsty wolf. He growled as his bloodshot eyes fixed on Viscar. Because he was scared, the Doctor had to get out of there. Unfortunately, it was already too late for him and Viscar to escape on foot.
As Ella and Diana traveled through the forest, they encountered numerous wolves.
They didn’t need to carry a light because the full moon above them cast such a bright glow. When Ella asked Diana about her childhood, she told her how every time there was a full moon, her father would tell the family a scary story.
