She walked to and fro nervously. ” A local witch breached the law a few weeks ago by providing illegal aid to the Alpha King. Furthermore, today a witch breached yet another prohibition by actively trying to start a conflict. Speak up! ” Her shout was so loud it knocked down a table, yet none of her sisters flinched.
The room became silent as Darcy waited for someone to break the silence and confess.
Roselin done it at last! She put out her left hand and said, “….. I believe I may have an idea, Supreme Sister.”
“Darcy, who was too upset to talk, waited for her to initiate conversation. ”
There was a collective gasp as all eyes went to Roselin as she stutteringly said, “I…. I simply believe it’s sister Stephny.”
Darcy froze, her eyes looking blankly at her.
“I mean,” she elaborated.
“The wolf outcasts took both of Sister Stephny’s daughters. They abandoned her and left her without a mother. And just the other day, while we were working in the garden, she cursed and moaned about how much she despised the wolves and hoped there was some way she could eradicate all life on Earth. My guess is that she poisoned one of the king’s guards in order to get to him. ”
“You’re spouting gibberish, Roselin! ”
Stephnyr interjected, her expression crushed.
” Sister Stephny, you know I’m telling the truth. ”
” I really appreciate your kindness, but I have to tell you the truth,” Roselin remarked.
You might inquire with Sister Sucy. She joined us in the garden. And everyone, including Darcy, looked at Sucy.
“Could this be correct?” Inquired Darcy.
Sucy groped for a way to express herself.
” It really occurred, you know. A few weeks earlier, Sister Stephny was rather bitter in the garden, lamenting her previous losses at the hands of the wolves. ”
“I don’t believe it’s enough justification for her to launch such an assault,” Sucy said. “Stop being so defensive all the time, Sucy,” Roselin chimed in.
Darcy made a loud yell. The lady soon appeared before her, having taken just a few seconds to reach that point.
Stephny bent her head in shame. She addressed “Supreme Sister. ”
“It’s true that years ago the rogues killed my two daughters. It’s also true that I’ve broached the subject in the garden and continue to feel resentful and wounded. But I would never carry out an act so vile as attempting to start a war with the Wolves. Even if it means death”
She stopped and raised an eyebrow at Darcy.
“By the graves of my two girls, I don’t know anything about this. I didn’t do it,” After that Darcy stared intently into her eyes, and silence fell.
For a long while, there was complete silence in the hall, and by that time, Sister Stephny had already cast her eyes downward. Could she be speaking the truth? Many folks had questions. Darcy responded, “For millennia,” as she turned her gaze away from Stephny and onto the other sisters standing in front of her.
“Our forefathers and mothers obeyed the law with all their might. They legislated and strictly enforced the law. While I understand that the Wolves and Vampires are our adversaries, I will not tolerate anybody breaking the rules. We don’t invite trouble upon ourselves; rather, we defend ourselves by fighting and eliminating our adversaries when they strike.
Listen, I’m forgiving, and I can forgive just about anything; but this? And when I find out who did it, I’m going to set you on fire and kill you! “With wrath, her voice reverberated across the room. She then walked away after turning around.
NEXT DAY
It was the Doctor’s son, Yond, who was in the room with Ella. He was washing her feet, which he hadn’t touched since she passed out, with water and a napkin as she slept. Yond was left in charge of Queen Diana as she went to refresh up.
A minor shift in her position was suddenly detected. He glanced over at her face swiftly and saw her eyelids twitching. What? At the same moment, Ella experienced feelings of warmth, peace, and weakness. The sensation of moisture on her feet prompted her to force herself awake. She opened her eyes with a flutter and a mumble, and then forced herself to full consciousness.
All she felt in those first few seconds was peace and quiet. Aimlessly, she stared at the ceiling, trying to place herself. It was, naturally, her bedroom.
“You’re awake,” and it came as a shock.
In an instant, she startled and turned her gaze back to the boy sitting next to her.
“Who are you?” Her body felt too weak to do anything, so she inquired in terror.
Yond saw her fear immediately. “Hey, chill down, all right? He reassured her, ”
“I’m the Physician’s son, and I was requested to look after you. You’re in the palace, and you’re in safe hands.” Ella looked about her.
There was no doubt that it was meant to represent her bedroom. If she were in the wrong hands, she wouldn’t be in there. She made an effort to sit up but moaned in agony as she realized that her side stomach was quite sore.
“Don’t worry too much, all right? To prevent the slot from being available, you must maintain complete inactivity. “Yond rushed over and grabbed a hold of her, saying, “It’s still mending.'” Ella took a long breath, attempting to calm herself.
“thank you”.
He gave her a kind grin and squeezed water from the handkerchief into the bowl.
“What… did you do to me? “After a little pause, Ella finally inquired. Yond wrung off the excess water and used it to rub her feet. “I don’t …”. She started to pull away from Yond, saying, “I don’t believe there’s any need for this,” but he stopped her.
“Just calm down, would you? ” He laughed,
“This doesn’t put me down at all. It’s part of my work as a doctor.”
Ella was persuaded, but she still felt uneasy about letting him do the procedure. While he gave her feet a soothing massage with the damp handkerchief, she studied him carefully.
“You were shot with a poison arrow,” Yond remarked as she worked on her feet. But the poison wasn’t lethal, and that’s why you’re still here, ” the doctor said to Ella, who was perplexed. Deadly? The question is, however, who would intentionally poison her? What exactly has she done to warrant this treatment?
