TIME: EARLY THE FOLLOWING MORNING
Diana woke up and decided to refresh herself before going back to check on her daughter. Once she had something to eat, she hurried back to Ella’s room. It’s been more than 24 hours. Actually, she hasn’t even eaten yet. How could it possibly have no effect on her?
Oh! Thank God! Would that she were well soon. Getting well was crucial for her. It sounded like someone was on the other side of the door, and Diana immediately assumed it was either the Doctor or his little kid. As she turned around, however, she saw that it was really Queen Olivia.
Olivia wore her bulky clothes, but her hair was styled simply. Skin was bare, but the normal expression of disapproval was there. Ella was lying on the bed, out cold like a zombie. Then, she stared at Diana. She scrawled, “It seems like you’ve lost how to offer respect,” and Diana’s head dipped to the floor.
“Should I not see my co-wife?”
When Olivia saw this, she glared at her, rolled her eyes, and then went over to where Ella was sleeping.
Seeing how beautiful she looked even when she wasn’t awake irritated her. If she wanted to die, why didn’t she? Why?? There was a hiss from her. She had been working tirelessly to win the King’s favor until the arrival of the little witch.
But the King will always be hers, rain or shine. Always. And I have no doubt that she will succeed
The Queen was in the room, and Sucy was assisting her in styling her hair. While Darcy relaxed in front of the mirror, Sucy combed her hair.
One of the minions would’ve done it for her, but that morning, Darcy really wanted Sucy to do it herself. “I’m not being too harsh, am I?” Asked Sucy. “Of course, not. You’ve always been as tranquil as a bird”. Darcy grinned. She observed Sucy from the mirror as she worked diligently on the hair, appearing so committed.
“Sucy, you are stunning.” This time it was Darcy who squealed with delight. Sucy halted and looked at her for a moment, her heart seemingly stopping.
She wanted an heiress, but because she didn’t have a male lover and didn’t want to have one,
Darcy has never met her biological father since she and her mother never had sexual relations that resulted in pregnancy.
She wished for Sucy to take on the role of the male partner in the relationship by becoming pregnant and giving birth to the couple’s biological kid.
Darcy, seeing her nervousness in the reflection, added, “I can picture how flawlessly we’d train her.”
“You’ll be the mother, and I’ll be the father. And I’ll make sure she gets as strong as we are and become a greater Queen”.
Sucy turned her slowly roving eyes back to the brush in her hand. “Wouldn’t you adore that, Sucy?” Darcy inquired as she touched her hand with her own.
“That would be good.”
“Supreme Sister, how do you want me to make your hair?”
To their surprise, the door slammed open, and both Darcy and Sucy spun around to see who had burst in.
“Supreme Sister! Supreme Sister” she panted. Darcy had spun around in her seat and was now looking at her intently.
“As we speak, King Spenser and his warriors are galloping up to the palace gates. ”
Darcy sprang to her feet, her eyes flaming and the olive of her large dress drooping behind her. What are you talking about? her eyes widened in shock as she glared at her sister.
“You mean King Spenser is on his way to the gates on horseback?”
“I am just as surprised as you are, Supreme Sister. They’re….” Before she could finish her sentence, Darcy marched past her and stomped out of the room, ignoring the half-done hair. Quickly after, Sucy and her sister joined the pursuit.
As the night wore on, King Spenser and his warriors continued to ride relentlessly.
His goal of seeing the Witches’ Palace had consumed him, and he had at last arrived there. He watched the witches and their Queen emerge from the gate as their swift horses galloped in. Each wore a red sweatshirt over their heads, but Darcy’s outfit was the longest and reached the ground. Darcy felt awestruck.
No werewolves or blood sucker has set foot in the witches’ land since the limitation ordinance was enforced decades ago. Not that they wanted to die or anything, but there was no need for them to risk it. Every man to his own land; such was the rule.
But now, when King Spenser rode towards her, she was at a loss for words. Exactly why was he at that place??? On the other hand, Sucy was taken aback by it. Next to Darcy, she saw Viscar riding out on his horse, and her heart began to beat rapidly.
Why do you think this could be happening? The trip to the palace was mysterious. Is he trying to out her? Oh! It’s ridiculous, of course he wouldn’t do that. Nothing could be heard except the horses’ hooves as they dug into the earth and galloped, only to be brought to a stop by their riders when they were near enough.
King Spenser, accompanied by his troops, dismounted and approached the witches, his gaze fixed on Darcy. His sword remained sheathed at his side. The atmosphere among the nuns was serene; not a peep came from any of the tolive.
That was legally the first time Darcy would meet Spenser in person. She had seen depictions of him in art, heard a lot about him, and was told he was a calm gorgeous guy; yet, she never imagined he would seem so aggressive in person.
When he paused what he was doing to look at her while she stood there with his troops behind her, she let out a resounding, “King Spenser.”
