Nellie looked at Ruby, who picked up her bag and got up, “Back then your mother got the Chambers family into trouble, and you did the same.”
And with that, she walked away arrogantly.
Marco came in, thinking of that attitude when Ruby left, and looked at Nellie with some concern, “Miss.”
Nellie, “Is the dinner ready? I’m hungry.”
She had always been unconcerned about such mad dogs.
She was even glad that she had been estranged from the Chambers family all these years, otherwise it would have been annoying to have such relatives.
She could not offer any help and was afraid to be dragged down. It would be hard to get by when she nagged every now and then.

The old lady’s light-hearted voice on the other side of the phone didn’t sound like anything was wrong in the slightest.
During this period of time Andre used such strong tactics to press the Chambers family, Grandma didn’t even give her a phone call, and now when she heard she was back, she just asked her to go back for a meal.
Suddenly, apart from the matter of Ruby coming to the door, Nellie found that some of the kinship, in fact, was not as bad as she had thought.

“So where are you now? Home? Well, get some rest and come over early this afternoon to keep me company.”

Just two bites in, the phone lit up again, this time it was from Luna.
When she thought of all the drama between herself and Andre before, even Luna, who was Andre’s mother, was supportive.

“Nellie, you’re back?” Luna’s voice came from the other side of the phone.
Nellie said yes.

Taking a deep breath, she said, “Shall we meet?”
“Not today, I’m going to Grandma’s tonight.”
“Then how about letting Andre go with you? This bastard should apologise to your grandma for what he’s done all this time.”
“No need.”
“Yes, Nellie, it is Andre who is wrong, that bastard…”
Luna kept saying that Andre was wrong, but Nellie still heard the favouritism towards Andre from these words.
Taking a deep breath, he said, “No really.”

“How much did she borrow?”
“A couple of thousand, some lent her, but some not.”
Now Catherine had to borrow a couple of thousand? This news shocked Nellie.
Catherine had lived a luxury life for the sake of George.
Even if she was down and out, she could still get by with support from her friends in the rich wives’ circle. How could she be in such a state?
But what Nellie did not know that the people who used to be close to Catherine were not willing to offer help, seeing that she was down and out.
“She kept clamouring to stay in and we didn’t allow that.”
“Clamouring to stay in?”
“Yes.”

“She said this is her home, she is married Master and she has a share here.”
Nellie listened quietly, even if she hadn’t seen that scene, she could figure out how Catherine had made the fuss.
Based on the way she dropped everything and left after being humiliated to that point earlier, Nellie would have thought she really had some backbone.
And yet she hadn’t even been here for a month, had she? And she’s already been pushed to that extent?
“Don’t let her in.” Nellie said in a cold tone.
She knew that this reminder from Marco to her was in fact a reminder that Catherine would definitely come and make a scene if she knew she was back.
Nellie was not afraid of her.
In the afternoon, Nellie called to arrange some urgent matters for the company and slept at home for the whole afternoon.
During this period of time in Yupto, she had been taking care of Barney and hadn’t slept well, and now that she was free, she wanted to have a good rest.
But as she lay in bed, she always felt a dull ache in her heart, as if she had lost something.
