Chapter 919 Don’t involve the Chambers family

The two people did not say another word for the rest of the trip.
When they arrived in Shirling, Nellie walked straight ahead and got into the James family’s car, while Troy pushed his suitcase and came behind Andre.
Thinking about the way Nellie grabbed the suitcase just now, it was obvious that she didn’t want to have any connection with the people around Andre, even if they just helped carry the luggage, she didn’t even bother.
Such an attitude of clearly wanting to draw a clear line made Troy, who was looking at Andre, tighten his heart.
“Where are we going now, sir?”
“Cahowon.”
Andre thought about it, but in the end he didn’t follow Nellie.
Nor was there any intention of going back to the old mansion, which would have only made Luna keep pressing himr.
Andre thought, “Forget it. It is not easy for her to come back together with him this time, so it is better not to push her too hard.”
Troy nodded and was kind of relieved, he was really worried that now Andre would follow Nellie.
That would only make things worse.
Nellie went straight back to the James’, where there was no longer Catherine or Hazel, and she had arranged for the layout of the house to be changed all over again during the time she was gone.
All those things that belonged to Catherine and Hazel were thrown out, and the place was now clear of them.
But at the same time, there was no trace of her mother. Over the years no one had been allowed to touch the furnishings of the place, everything had been kept as it was when her mother was alive.
It was disgusting he came back with his mistress and his mistress’ daughter, and put on this infatuation act.
When Marco saw Nellie return, he respectfully stepped forward, “Miss, you’re back.”
“Yes, make me some porridge, I want to eat light food.” Nellie handed the suitcase to Marco.
Marco nodded, “Yes, the kitchen has prepared porridge and some other food. Knowing you were coming back, they started preparing them early in the morning.”
Marco was filled with tears and was relieved to see Nellie finally back here again.
When Madam left, she always told him to take good care of Miss, yet all these years Nellie wouldn’t even return home.
Now everything was back in place, yet only Nellie was left alone.
Nellie went upstairs and took a shower.
When she came down, she saw an unexpected guest in the living room, her aunt, Ruby.
She was over forty, but didn’t look old. That overly thin face gave the impression of being very shrewd.
That shrewdness carried a bit uncomfortable touches.
Seeing Nellie, Ruby’s face didn’t look too good, “You’re finally back?”
Ruby’s attitude was bad, and Nellie’s face was no better as she wiped her hair and went downstairs.
In a silk nightgown, she looked slim and tall.
In a cold tone, she asked, “What is wrong?”
When Ruby saw Nellie treating her like this, she was naturally upset and put down the water glass in her hand.
She coldly cast a glance at Nellie, “Let’s talk.”
When she heard Ruby say she wanted to talk, Nellie instinctively frowned, and her tone was colder, “I think we should have nothing to talk about.”
She didn’t know her aunt very well.
Even when she knew the truth about her mother’s death and went back to the Chambers family, she had never met this aunt before, and the first time she met her was over the phone.
And in this acquaintance, they were not, apparently, pleasant to each other.
So now Nellie, in the spirit of not having gone back to the Chambers family much in the first place all these years, was not very polite to Ruby.
There was no hint of that respect for elders.
Ruby’s face changed, “Nellie, I know you have a bad impression of me, but I’m your aunt after all, and everything you do is involved with the Chambers family, I think it’s better for us to talk about some things clearly.”
Ruby’s attitude was somewhat assertive.
Marco, who was standing not far away, sank his face.
Just now he knew Ruby was someone from the Chambers family, which was why he had someone treat her so politely.
Now seeing that this woman was here to trouble Nellie, Marco looked to Nellie and nodded, a hint that he would call security in immediately if she wanted to throw that woman out.
However Nellie did not do that, she and the Chambers family had not been close to each other over the years, and now the Chambers family came to her door. Although they had not been nice to each other, still, it’s not so much to throw her out straight away.
Waving her hand, she said, “Marco, take all the men away.”
She would like to see what Ruby wanted to talk to her about.
Marco nodded, “Okay.”
With a wave of his hand, all the servants followed him away.
Nellie came to sit across from Ruby, “Go ahead, what do you want to talk to me about?”
“This time, you’ve dragged the Chambers family down quite a bit, so you can’t be with Mr. Brooks.” Ruby went to the point.
Andre was a frank man, at least letting them all know why he was dealing with the Chambers family so much this time.
Otherwise, they would probably still be looking, by now, for what was wrong.
Her tone carried its overbearing command.
Nellie frowned at Ruby, “Are you ordering me around now?”
Since her mother’s death, no one in the world had ever been able to order her around, and the most foolish thing she had ever done in her life was to obey Andre.
And now, after sobering up, Nellie was especially disgusted by someone ordering her around like that.
Ruby coldly snorted, “It’s not that I want to order you around, Nellie, the Chambers family can’t be dragged down by you.”
“Then you can announce to the public that I am not half related to your Chambers family.”
Nellie spoke half-heartedly.
Ruby froze.
She didn’t expect Nellie to say such a thing, as Nellie was now relying on the Chambers family, and the James family had no one left.
The only place she has any family left is the Chambers family, yet she’s so dry now, saying she doesn’t want it?
When Ruby saw her attitude, her heart was unsteady, “If you say that, your grandmother will be sad, I didn’t think you will leave your grandmother alone.”
“So you came to me for the sake of Grandma?” Nellie snorted coldly.
Ruby’s face changed.
She didn’t expect Nellie to have this attitude even when talking to the elders. How did she get liked by the Lawson family by this?
Even the most enlightened elders probably wouldn’t like a junior like her, right?
She had heard that the elders of the Brooks family didn’t like Nellie either.
If Luna eventually doesn’t like her either, then she, Nellie, will basically have no chance with the gentry, right?
When she thought so, Ruby felt even more that Nellie was no good, and would be someone she couldn’t count on in the future.
She was more nonchalant, “I don’t care what you do, don’t drag the Chambers family into it again.”
