Chapter 921 Talking to a rogue about self-respect?

At 5pm, she got up from bed and changed her clothes, put her hair up and put on some light make-up.
When she went out, she saw Andre’s car parked in front of the house, and Andre in suit leaning against the door with his back.
The pair of long legs set off his reserved elegance, half a cigarette still burning dully in his hand, and seeing her, he took a drag.
Nellie, “What are you doing here?”
When she saw Andre, Nellie naturally had nothing good to say. Although she had come back to Shirling, it did not mean that there would be a relationship between her and him.
There was never going to be any semblance of a relationship between them, not before and even less now.
Listening to her icy tone, Andre was half annoyed and said in a warm tone, “Back to the Chambers’ with you.”
“What did you say?” Going back to the Chambers family with her? Was this man sick?
Andre, “Go.”
He opened the car door for her, and the attitude looked so determined that it seemed as if he must go back with her.
Nellie was angry, not wanting to continue to talk to him, she turned around and headed for her own car on the other side.
However, just two steps away, her body lifted into the air and she was carried on the shoulders of Andre who shoved her into the car.
Nellie felt sky spun and her face darkened even more.
“Andre, you and I do not have the kind of relationship where we can meet our parents, and I hope you will have some self-respect.”
“Is my wife talking to a rogue about self-respect?”
“Who’s your wife?” Nellie got pissed off.
Andre spat out lightly seeing that she was furious, “You! You are my wife.”
“I’m not.”
“You are.”
Nellie did not want to argue with him so much and was about to pull open the car door to get down, however, the door was already locked.
A dark light flashed under Nellie’s eyes, “Open the door.”
“Sit well.”
Andre got on the passenger side and the car roared away from the entrance of the house, driving so fast that Nellie almost fell over.
Andre looked at her embarrassed look in the rear-view mirror and the corners of his mouth lifted into a warm smile.
Nellie struggled to sit still. Looking at the rapidly receding scenery, she said, “I won’t go back to the Chambers’ with you.”
“So I’m going alone?”
“Andre, don’t go too far.”
What did he think he would get in return for such a step-by-step approach? Something lost could not be gained back by doing efforts.
Nellie hoped that Andre would understand this, yet this man, at the moment, did not seem to be able to understand anything.
Andre didn’t answer, and whatever Nellie said next, he just treated what she said as air.
So when he arrived at the James’, he was full of relief and had a pleasant expression on his face, yet Nellie was furious because of it.
Andre stood at the door of the car, looking at Nellie who was not getting out of the car, raising his eyebrows and asking, “Do you really want me to go in by myself?”
Nellie, “I can go in, you can’t.”
“No, from now on I’m going to go wherever my wife goes.”
Andre began to play rogue, which even made Nellie furious.
Andre held out his hand to her in a gentlemanly manner, “Will you get out of the car?”
He had not wanted to push her too hard.
But seeing the records of the calls from Sidney and Barney, he could no longer be more indifferent inside.
He knew very well what kind of purpose she had in mind when she returned this time, and he would not go along with her wishes, and naturally he would not let her have any more chances to leave him.
Nellie was furious, meeting Andre with a calm expression on his face, she eventually got out of the car with a huff.
Looking at her angry face, Andre was even more pleased.
He took the gift from the trunk and followed her.
Nellie looked at the things he was carrying in his hands and frowned, “What are you preparing all this for?”
“It’s the first time we’ve met the parents since we got married, so naturally we need to prepare some gifts.”
“Humph!” Nellie coldly snorted.
She felt that Andre was really hateful and shameless. Didn’t he know why did they get married without going through the parents before.
Who is he preparing all this now to show? Or does he think that if he prepares this, she will be moved.
Andre didn’t know what was going through her mind and didn’t care in the slightest, he followed her right in.
I was not yet time for dinner.
When the butler saw Nellie return, he greeted her respectfully, “Miss, you’re back, Madam has been waiting for you.”
“Okay.”
Nellie lifted her steps and went in, the butler saw what Andre was carrying in his hand and took it respectfully, “Mr. Francis.”
“Many thanks.” Andre handed the things to the butler and followed Nellie’s footsteps.
Nellie’s pace was faster, but Andre had long legs, and within a few steps, she was held by his hand.
Nellie subconsciously wanted to shake it off, “Let go of me.”
“Be good, and if you don’t want your elders to worry about you, work hard to show them that you are happy.”
“You do know how to behave.” How could she have never seen before that Andre was so understanding?
Nellie didn’t want to talk to him that much.
The corners of Andre’s mouth lifted into a smile, and that look couldn’t have been more gentle. At this time, Ruby was at home, and her daughter Violet was there.
The two are at the old lady’s side at the moment. Her uncle has probably gone on a business trip and therefore is not even back at this hour.
When she saw Nellie return, the old lady couldn’t stop smiling, “Nellie, you are back, come to Grandma.”
“Grandma.” Nellie stepped forward in a good manner.
Martha took Nellie’s hand as soon as she could, and when Ruby saw how nice they looked, a flash of dissatisfaction flashed under her eyes, especially still thinking about the way Nellie treated her today.
Martha saw Andre and smiled politely, “Mr. Francis, you are here too. Have a seat.”
“Grandma, just call me Andre.”
“Okay, Andre, have a seat.” Martha was always polite, probably because she did not want Nellie to know what Andre had done earlier.
So, she always kept a decent smile.
Violet’s eyes were already glued to Andre’s body, and Ruby was looking at her with hatred, but there was nothing she could do.
In fact, their family had always had the intention of joining up with the Lawson family before, although these descendant of Zane had no blood ties with him.
But they all knew that everything about Zane was managed by Andre, even his own granddaughter had previously been handed over to Andre.
However Martha had always thought of Nellie, and even then, when she saw that the two did not get along, she did not allow them to approach Andre.
“Violet, what are you standing there for? Go and pour tea for Mr. Francis.” Ruby said with an angry glance at her daughter.
That reproachful tone carried her doting on Violet.
It was timely to let Andre know of the excellence of the Chambers family’s other daughter.
