Chapter 879

Book:Surprised With Her Real Identities Published:2024-5-31

“Mom… Mom, you have to believe me, I didn’t do it, I’m innocent.” Niamh pleaded desperately while holding onto Monroe’s arm. “It was all Sylvia’s doing. She set us up.”
Monroe was furious. No wonder those people they had just tried to befriend were ignoring them. It turned out Sylvia was behind it all. Who did she think she was? How could some random person who came out of nowhere be considered a VIP in Queena’s circle?
The more Monroe thought about it, the angrier she became. She took a deep breath and said to Ye Erma, “Mom, I know Niamh and Chaya’s character very well. My daughter has always been obedient and sensible; how could she possibly do something like this? You didn’t see it with your own eyes; you’re their grandmother – you should trust them!”
“Yeah! Why are you taking your anger out on us? This is all Sylvia’s fault! You don’t care about us at all; instead of helping us out when big grandma scolded us together with her,” Niamh bit her lip as she spoke.
“You shut up!” Ye Erma couldn’t take it anymore.
She was so angry that she felt like passing out right then and there.
Now everyone in the family is laughing at them behind their backs; how can they still sit here and eat?
“Let’s go! Everyone leave!” She threw down her fork in anger before leaving her seat first.
As soon as she left, Cael rushed over to grab Monroe by the arm. “Everyone, follow me!”
As soon as they left, everyone started discussing what had happened.
“What an uncultured family! Thank goodness the title of Earl wasn’t passed down to them.”
“Yeah! With such low quality people around Hipps family will lose its hundred-year-old glory.”
“That’s right!”
“It’s unbelievable that these girls come from good families? They look so indecently dressed that even going outside with them would make me feel embarrassed.”
One of the Hipps family’s wives spoke disdainfully.
“They have no shame at all for doing something like this… not upright at all… When Monroe talked to me earlier I didn’t even want to acknowledge her presence – clearly not a decent woman dressing herself up like that – if the daughter looks like this then imagine what kind of mother raised her.”
“I still prefer Miss Andrews. beautiful appearance plus good character.”
Last year at Old Mrs. Obrien’ birthday party, Miss Andrews shocked everyone by slapping Tammy and Skyla, the fake mother-daughter duo. And just as they left, the infamous sisters arrived.
“Although we’re related, we’ve never really dealt with the second wife’s people before. Their girls are too wicked,” Queena said with a displeased expression as her son returned safely.
Sylvia and Franklin were her esteemed guests, but the second wife’s group kept gossiping about them. This was more than just a disappointment.
“Let’s not talk about these messy people and things anymore. Let’s all enjoy our food and drinks,” Queena declared, putting an end to any discussion of the two sisters.
But somehow this incident got out and everyone in town was laughing at Sylvia and her sister for quite some time after that. No wealthy young man from a prominent family would be seen dating them anytime soon.
Even some rich girls were afraid to hang out with them for fear of being gossiped about later on which could ruin their reputation.
Franklin never took his eyes off Sylvia throughout the evening; he knew when she left and when she came back so he had already figured out what had happened – especially since Jasper had also disappeared for a while during that time period.
With Sylvia’s intelligence and ability to manipulate such a small situation it was easy for Franklin to guess what went down between them all – there was no way those foolish sisters could have ever thought they could outsmart Sylvia!
After dinner ended at Hipps Manor, instead of staying there like most guests did overnight in one of their many guest rooms or suites; Sylvia & Franklin headed off to stay in a hotel instead.
“It’s all because of you that I got my hands dirty,” Sylvia grumbled as she punched Franklin lightly on his chest.
Franklin chuckled slightly “How is it my fault?”
“They both wanted you so bad they practically glued themselves onto you! Why do you always have to look so good? You attract too much attention!”
“I didn’t ask for it! They came running over here themselves!”
“If today I had been tricked instead, then I’d be screwed! They probably wanted me embarrassed then break up with you.”
“How could I let you lose face?” Franklin held her hand. “Those two ugly women are just eyesores.”
Don’t worry, dear, I’ll punish them well for you.
The Hipps family lived on the outskirts.
Skyla and Tammy used to live in there, but now it has been divided for their family to live in.
Niamh and Chaya were sitting in the study copying Buddhist scriptures. The more they copied, the more uncomfortable they felt.
“Why is this Buddhist scripture so boring and long?” Niamh muttered while copying. She looked at her sister not far away and became angry. “It’s all because of your lousy idea that we’re being punished now.”
“I’m being punished for whom? Isn’t it because of you?” Niamh also became angry when she heard this. “I sacrificed myself just to help you chase after a man. You don’t even appreciate me; instead, you blame me?”
When Niamh saw her sister getting angry, she quickly said, “Hey hey! It was just a joke! Why can’t you take a joke?”
“Is this supposed to be funny?” Chaya got angrier as she spoke.
Just then, suddenly something happened – the lights went out!
The sisters were startled. “Power outage? That shouldn’t happen!”
The room was pitch black; the sisters were about to huddle together for warmth when suddenly…
“Ah! What is this?”
Someone sprinkled silver glittering powder from above?
The sisters screamed in surprise. “Who? Who’s in our room?”
“What kind of medicine did you sprinkle?”
As they spoke, the lights came back on again.
Monroe and Rylie rushed into the room together. “You two aren’t properly copying Buddhist scriptures; what are you shouting about over there?”
“Mommy, Grandma,” said Chaya as she stood up from behind a wall corner hurriedly,” Our light went out suddenly just now and someone broke into our house.”
Niamh also stood up, “Yes, Mommy, Grandma, this place isn’t safe at all, let’s go back home.”
“Go back where? You must stay here with me! Living here represents something important – do not understand? Do not let me hear any talk of moving away again! Others want to move here but cannot!” Rylie angrily shouted.
Feeling the disdainful look from Rylie, Monroe forced herself to swallow her anger. After all, Rylie had been a notorious wicked mother-in-law for quite some time.
She has become numb.
But now both of my daughters have grown up, and they still need to find a good family to marry into!
After tonight’s family banquet, it may be difficult to find someone willing to marry her daughters.
Monroe was feeling extremely restless and agitated.
She was about to scold her daughter when she suddenly heard Niamh scream, “It hurts, my arm hurts.”
“I’m in pain too.” Niamh suddenly started grabbing her own arm, screaming as she did so. In no time at all, her arm was covered in red marks from the scratching.
The two people were desperately grabbing as if only in this way could they relieve the pain on their arms.
Not only that, after a while they started to scratch other parts, lifting their clothes to scratch their necks, stomachs…
The scene was like something out of a movie, as if the zombies had arrived.
They almost scratched my own belly open…
However, blood still oozed out from the places where the two people had fiercely scratched.
In the end, Niamh even started scratching her own face. Monroe was so scared that she quickly rushed over and said, “You can’t scratch your face! If you scratch it open, how will you show yourself to others?”
“But Mom, I’m in so much pain! It’s like the only way to feel better is to scratch it!” Niamh was on the verge of tears, this feeling was too unbearable and torturous.
Although Chaya was also uncomfortable, she was much calmer than the others. “It must be the powder that person sprinkled on us when there was no electricity earlier. It’s starting to take effect. Let’s go to the hospital quickly.”
Half an hour later, inside a car parked outside the hospital’s entrance.
Sylvia saw a black car pull up hastily into the hospital parking lot. Two daughters of the Hipps family hurriedly got out of the car, walking and screaming in pain at the same time, looking very distressed.
Monroe and Cael followed their two daughters, constantly scolding each other.
“You’re so mean, you actually thought of using painkillers to treat them.” Sylvia couldn’t help but laugh as she watched the scene.
“It’s just a small trick of carving insects.” Franklin wouldn’t go as far as taking their lives, but a little punishment is still possible.
Who allowed them to bully his precious baby?
“Let’s go,” Sylvia lightly kissed the man’s chin, looking at him with a coquettish smile. “Back to the hotel.”
Sylvia glared at him. “Don’t go crazy all the time, you know that?”
Franklin couldn’t let her off so easily. He leaned in close to her ear and blew a wicked breath. “Wait until I get to the hotel, then I’ll show you.”
Meanwhile, the Hipps sisters rushed to the emergency room and spent hours getting IVs and taking medicine before finally returning home exhausted.
Sylvia and Franklin had made it back to their hotel room after an intense workout, falling asleep soon after.
