When the Hipps sisters returned home, early-rising servants had begun cleaning the courtyard.
Seeing the sisters in their disheveled and bloodied state startled them all, but no one dared to speak up and they silently continued with their work. The hard truth was that speaking less and doing more was necessary for survival.
However, someone must have talked too much because news of what happened began to spread. At first it was just a rumor that the two sisters were out late at night and came back covered in blood.
But as time passed, rumors became more outrageous – saying that they stayed out late at night to suck animals’ blood from within the estate.
It got so bad that when Queena heard about it, she believed her grandnieces might be vampires! Everyone was warned to be careful at night so they wouldn’t get dragged into their house for a blood-sucking session. Queena was so angry.
These two grandnieces never gave her peace of mind – first embarrassing her publicly and then causing this supernatural event with their alleged vampire activities!
Niamh and Chaya didn’t know what had happened as they stood in Queena’s villa living room facing each other.
“What did we do wrong again?”
“I don’t know!”
“Move out,” Queena said coldly while looking at both sisters who were wearing matching yellow dresses today which made them look pale but not pleasing to Queena’s eyes.
This statement was like a bolt from the blue sky; both sisters were shocked.
“Why do you want us to move out?” They asked incredulously.
“We didn’t do anything wrong! We haven’t done anything!” They started defending themselves one after another.
Queena lifted an eyelid before taking several photos directly from one of her servants’ hands then threw them on top of both sister’s feet.
“Take a look for yourselves.”
The photos “slapped” against the floor as soon as they hit it.
Chaya quickly bent down to pick up the pictures while Niamh leaned over curiously next to her sister. When they saw everything on those photos, both froze in shock.
“This…”
It showed how bloody they looked when returning home from hospital that morning but why did someone take these pictures then show them off to Queena?
“Your mother, father, and grandmother are all aware of the situation and have agreed that it’s best for everyone if you two move out. Now please leave before I call security.” Queena’s tone was firm and final, leaving no room for argument.
The sisters reluctantly picked up their suitcases and walked out of the house, feeling hurt and confused by the accusations thrown at them. As they stepped outside into the cool night air, they realized that they had nowhere to go.
“What are we going to do now?” asked Niamh.
“I don’t know,” replied Niamh. “But we can’t give up now. We’ll find a way to prove our innocence.”
And with those words, the sisters set off into the unknown, determined to clear their names and regain their family’s trust.
Queena couldn’t help but laugh, “Your whole family has to leave here. We can’t continue living with you. Let’s go.”
The sisters were still a little dizzy as they walked out of the Hipps manor.
“We really got kicked out?”
“It seems like it…”
Niamh was so angry that tears were swirling in her eyes, “Why?”
“I don’t know! Just because of that one photo?” Niamh gritted her teeth in anger.
Meanwhile, Monroe, Cael and Rylie were waiting for them on the side of the road.
Rylie rushed towards them and raised her hand to hit them, “I finally moved back in and now you two jinxes have caused me to be kicked out again!”
Cael stopped her, “Mom, at least these are your own granddaughters. Why are you getting angry?”
Monroe sighed heavily,” The servants all say that you two are vampires who used to suck animal blood before and now human blood.”
Niamh was so angry she almost fainted,” Suck blood? You can testify for us. That night we really didn’t know what kind of pain we had. It hurt… ”
“But they don’t believe us.” Monroe said tiredly, “Forget it. Let’s go back home. This is not our own home after all.”
Cael also said, “Let’s hurry up and leave here before we embarrass ourselves any further. It was only a matter of time before Sylvia got mad at you both since you offended her recently anyway.”
“What does offending an outsider like Sylvia have anything to do with Queena being so protective of her?” Niamh asked confusedly. She felt like something wasn’t right about this whole situation.
“Does she need a reason to protect someone?” Cael said as he got into his car and left Hipps family behind once again without any luxury cars around him; he could only drive his small JEEP once more.
Luckily this JEEP was an SUV with a large displacement engine which provided ample space inside the car too.
After packing their luggage together, they all got into the car together.
The car swayed as it left the Hipps manor taking away with it some resentment from Rylie who watched as the estate disappeared into the distance while thinking silently. I will definitely come back someday.
At SouthStar Airlines in Larro, Franklin was having a meeting with several executives when Jasper walked in from outside raising his eyebrows, saying, “Master Franklin, they’ve moved out.”
Franklin sneered coldly, “They deserve what they get.”
It’s just after Christmas, and many airlines are offering holiday packages or special discounted tickets to attract passengers during the peak travel season. SouthStar Airlines and NorthWind Airlines are no exception, as they both make efforts to compete for customers.
Larro is in the south where it feels like spring all year round, unlike Urgford where the cold winds still blow. This is Franklin’s first flight since passing his physical exams and getting clearance to fly again. After a meeting, he heads towards his crew office.
Elsa is dressed in a flight attendant uniform with a matching beret on her head and a vintage silk scarf tied around her neck. She wears a sparkling Cartier diamond watch on her fair wrist that catches everyone’s attention as she walks by. Her makeup is exquisite, but her anxious eyes betray her nervousness.
She sat at the desk with several other flight attendants who anxiously glanced at their watches while waiting for Mr. Franklin’s arrival.
“Is today really Mr. Franklin’s first flight again?” Darcie rushed over in excitement wearing an identical uniform as Elsa.
“Yes,” Elsa replied calmly, looking directly into Darcie’s eyes.”Mr. Maskelyne will be here soon too.”
“It was rumored that he had some kind of mental illness,” one of the newer attendants asked cautiously about Franklin’s condition.
“According to Mr. Maskelyne’s medical report,” Elsa explained while brushing aside her bangs gently. “He has no mental illness whatsoever.”
“So don’t speculate unnecessarily,” she continued firmly, “He is an experienced pilot.”
“In any case,” she added finally. “Flying with anyone else would be just another job.”
Just then, Franklin walked into the room looking handsome and tall in his black captain uniform adorned with SouthStar Airline’s logo shining faintly gold on his chest pocket; there were no creases on his black tie around his neck or wrinkles anywhere else either. He carries himself with grace and poise- aloof yet noble- making him seem unapproachable yet desirable at once!
Darcie stared at him for several seconds before looking away. He was always so dazzling and could easily make a woman’s heart race.
Her own heart thumped rapidly in her chest.
She once again felt grateful that she had held on, despite being fired and told to leave. Tiffany couldn’t handle it, but she could.
She still dreamed of becoming Mrs. Maskelyne, and now that Franklin had finally returned, her dream was still within reach!
