Chapter 551: What If They Starve?

After making sure Candace was okay, Cristelle and Fritzi carried the babies out of the room to the nurses to do further checkups. They were both thrilled.
Cristelle couldn’t stop smiling, “Linford, come over here. Look, our grandchildren are beautiful.”
The men didn’t go to look at the babies.
They were all staying at the side of the bed, making sure Candace didn’t feel any discomfort anymore.
Thomas looked so concerned, asking gently if Candace needed anything.
He was indeed a good husband. Cristelle and Fritzi exchanged a look and smiled.
Mr. Weston and Granny were both sitting on the bench outside. They waved at Cristelle and Fritzi, “Bring the babies here. Let us take a look.”
Cristelle and Fritzi thus brought the babies over. Mia and Logan also went to look at the twins.
Candace was so exhausted that she fell back to sleep again. Cody noticed that a fine film of sweat covered her forehead, and she was still frowning even though she had fallen asleep.
Giving birth to babies seemed painful.
Cody pulled Thea to his side. If having a child was so challenging and dangerous, he would never want to let Thea endure this pain.
Maybe they should give up the idea of having babies.
Thea, however, noticed how happy everyone was. She wanted to have her own babies right after her career was not that busy.
Linford looked gentle as he held the babies in his arms. He was not that harsh anymore.

Thea soon went back to the crew for shooting. Everything went on well, and one day. Candace came to visit her.
After fishing the scene, Thea saw Candace from a distance. She ran over and gave her sister-in-law a big hug.
“Wow, look at you,” Thea held Candace at her arm’s length as she checked her out up and down, “You’re looking good, huh?”
“Your performance was amazing, sister,” Candace laughed, “They didn’t even need to cut or edit it. It’s so perfect.”
“Come on, you’re flattering me again,” Thea brought Candace back to the hotel. She had finished all her scenes today, and she decided to take a rest.
When they went back to Thea’s suite, Thea looked around, but she didn’t see the twins. But she didn’t find them.
Thea was surprised, “Wait, Candace… You came here by yourself?” She thought Thomas would at least come here with Candace, and they would bring the babies as well.
Candace, however, didn’t seem to be bothered by the question, “Yeah.”
“Where are the twins, though? I mean, who’s taking care of them right now?” Thea asked.
“Mom and Dad are taking care of them. They can’t even leave them for an hour,” Candace smiled brightly.
“I thought you were breastfeeding. What if they starve?”
“I’ve left some milk in the fridge. Gosh, Thea,” Candace looked frustrated, “I finally have some time to go out and enjoy a day on my own. Stop asking. I was gonna rot in the house.”
Thea shrugged and ordered some food for Candace, picking her favorite dishes.
Cody happened to walk back into the suite when room service brought in their food.
He was surprised when he saw Candace, “You’re here? Where are the babies? You should be with them.”
Candace rolled her eyes as she opened the lids to check out the food, “They don’t need me right now. They have their grandparents.”
“Oh my god, Candace Bradley. Your babies are only one month old. They need you,” Cody sighed deeply.
“They will be fine.” Candace picked a piece of fruit with the tips of her fingers and put it in her mouth, “Mom and Dad are fussing over them.”
Cody sighed. He took off his coat and left a kiss on Thea’s cheek.
“Will Thomas be fine with this, though?” Cody asked again when they sat down by the table.
Candace shrugged, “Why should he have any problems? His job is also busy. Mom and Dad are willing to babysit the twins.”
Cody shook his head, “You guys are crazy. Aren’t you afraid that Dad will raise the twins in a weird way? What if the twins grow up just like Dad? It will be miserable.”
Candace stuck her tongue out, “What are you talking about, Cody? I’d rather my twins rub on Dad’s assertive and absolutely powerful personality. Dad’s the coolest man in the universe.”
Cody went silent. Obviously, Candace has adored their father since childhood.
Candace didn’t come for just one day. She got registered in the suite next to theirs, and she basically became their neighbor.
The suites had their own kitchens. Cody didn’t want Thea to eat food from the restaurant, so he would cook for Thea every day. Candace just randomly showed up whenever they decided to eat.
She would follow Thea around, doing yoga and movie nights with Thea. She would even go on the site to watch Thea working, depriving Cody of all his private time with his wife.
Cody couldn’t stand it anymore, so he decided to call his parents.
Yet Cristelle and Linford both thought that Candace had been stressed out after becoming a new mother. She deserved to be hanging out with her friends.
Thomas begged Candace to go back. Candace said she only wanted to hang with Thea. So Thomas also moved into the hotel. The annoyance thus became doubled.
Cody had never been more frustrated in his life.
However, one day, the director suddenly announced that their following scenes would be shot in a remote town.
The whole crew had to move. Thea didn’t like the news because it was getting cold again.
The mountains were not just remote but also considerably cooler. Cody, on the other hand, was overjoyed since he would soon no longer have to deal with the goofy couple that lived next door to him.
He came close to packing everything by himself without enlisting Matt’s assistance in the process.
When Thea saw that her husband was so excited about their upcoming relocation, she found herself at a loss for words.
It was actually quite endearing in nature.
