Thea was tossing and turning in her sleep, she recalled a lot of things.
Dad, Mom, Cody, Candace, and Great-grandpa. She remembered that she used to dance for Pop.
The old time was beautiful.
She slept for a really long time. When she opened her eyes again, looking at the family before her, the way Thea took in their faces was not the same anymore. She had remembered everything.
Cody noticed the difference. He was the first to walk up, “Thea… How are you? Are you feeling better?”
A mix of sadness and happiness was churning in Thea’s chest.
Her tears were all over her chest. She used all her strength and spat out two words, “Mom… Dad…”
Drew, Fritzi, and Grace went forth immediately and surrounded her. They were all crying.
Candace’s eyes also went red because of the heavy atmosphere in the ward.
Demi was finally back.

The next day, Cody took Thea to the jail to visit Cindy.
Cindy was in the interrogation room at this moment. Her hair was a mess, and her cheek sunk horribly into her face. Her eyes had no light.
When she saw Thea, she finally looked like she was alive, “You… You’re here?”
Thea sat before her and looked at her face, letting out a long sigh, “Did you come that time to kill me?”
Cindy shook her head, “No. I really just went there to say goodbye.”
Thea looked into her eyes and asked, “Why did you lie to me? And why didn’t you send me to the hospital? Why did you even want to say goodbye to me?”
Cindy’s voice was husky and sore, “Actually… I don’t even know why I was there yesterday to say goodbye. I just wanted to take a look at you. I used to think about adopting you. I really did… But you were only thinking about your family. You wouldn’t listen to me. So… I thought maybe it was for the best to make you forget everything. That was why I fed you that soup.”
Thea’s eyes were cold, “I’m not even your child. You have no right to take me away from my parents.”
“Yeah… But you have no idea how much I wished that I could be your mother.” Cindy cried miserably, but that only made the hair on the back of Thea’s neck stand up.
This woman had a mental problem.
“I still don’t get it. Why do you want to kill my Mom? She’s innocent. She doesn’t even know your grudge against the Weston family!” Thea was so angry.
Cindy looked up, “I have no grudge against Grace. She had seen me a couple of times before. I… I just didn’t want to leave behind any traces.”
“And that made her dispensable?” Thea clenched her teeth, “There must be other reasons. You used John. It meant you’ve been creeping about me all these years. What the heck do you want from me?”
“I…” Cindy sighed, a creepy smile showing up on her face, “I care about you, Demi. I had a chance to be your mother, but I failed to grip it. If those stupid women didn’t exist, you, me, and your Dad, we could live in that big house happily together!”
“So this is about your unrequited love?” Thea let out a disgusted face, “You can’t have Drew, so you decided to destroy his family?”
“That’s cold!” Cindy’s smile was slow and scary.
“Drop the acting, Cindy,” Thea’s face fell, “I heard your son was abducted abroad. Did someone use him to threaten you? There must be a reason that is less bullshitting. Tell me the truth, Cindy!”
Cindy’s eyes suddenly went a bit nervous. She looked away, “No… No! I did this just for myself. Not for anyone! I… I just want to get back against Drew and Fritzi.”
“There’s no need to hide anything for anyone, Cindy,” Thea said coldly. “You’ve been caught and whatever your mission is… it has failed. Do you really think those people will treat your son kindly?” After that, Thea looked at Cindy, “Who sent you? Tell me the truth!”
“No! No one ever sent me!” Cindy argued, “I… I was just jealous of your mother. Your father would have been mine if she didn’t show up! We would have been living in that big house and having all those maids and bodyguards and all those beautiful luxurious dresses.”
“My Mom never treated my Dad as a thing instead, a man of kind heart,” Thea stood up from her seat, her eyes fixing heatedly on the woman’s face, “She didn’t treat him as a golden ticket to upper-class life. You’re obsessed, Cindy!”
And then, Thea stood up from her chair and turned around, ready to leave the room.
“Oh, so you think you can live your life as a big star forever?” Cindy’s voice was high-pitched and sarcastic, “Thea Todd, showbiz is a shit hole. With all those enemies, one day, you will fall as I did. YOU WILL FALL TEN TIMES HARDER!”
Thea didn’t even look back as she walked out of that room.
With all those enemies. How did Cindy even know that?
Did someone from the showbiz industry send Cindy to kill her?
If that were the case, the name list could go on and on.
There were many influential celebrities in that circle, yet the forces behind them were even more complicated.
The key was that some people were even as wealthy and powerful as the Weston and the Bradley family. Digging them out wouldn’t be easy.
However, after thinking about this the whole night, Thea finally drew a conclusion.
Derek.
Thea knew how much Yolanda hated her, but Derek’s hatred was no less.
She went to Cody’s office and told him about her wild guess.
Cody’s face fell after hearing that. That Derek used to be Thea’s boyfriend. He had been trying to find excuses to teach that sorry face a lesson.
Now, he finally had one.
Cody was determined to make his crappy company bankrupt!
“I will take care of everything, and you just leave everything to me. No worries.” Cody put on a smile and assured her.
