Maria gave a sinister grin and whispered, “Of course, he wouldn’t. On the other hand, after just one night, the director offered her a part in one of his other movies.”
Thea gave a little shrug and asked, “So soon? It would appear that the director has a thing for her; is that the case?”
Maria shook her head and said, “Well… I think she is in possession of some information regarding the director.” That kind of information is undoubtedly being used by her as a weapon to blackmail him. Do you understand what I’m getting at?”
Thea was not astonished, but she had to give the impression that she was by exclaiming, “Wow! How is it that she could do that? The director is a pleasant person.”
It was common practice in this sector to have sexual encounters with casting directors and producers in order to advance one’s career. However, this adaptation was only available to novices who had any prior expertise or notoriety.
Besides, most of the time, the hope would evaporate. Some rookies found out that they still couldn’t get what they were promised to get in the end.
Nina had already established her fame in this circle. She would never try to use that sort of means to get what she wanted.

The director was pretty happy with her speed. One day passed, and Thea finished about 10 scenes.
The director still wanted to continue the shooting when night fell. Thea was okay with that. Cody, however, didn’t like that at all.
He argued that Thea had worked all day and that she needed to take a break, “Listen. She’s doing this for 13 hours. If she goes back to the hospital, the whole procedure will be delayed much further.”
The director didn’t dare to offend Bradley members. So he nodded, “Of course… Of course… Then let’s take a break. We can continue this shooting tomorrow.”
The director noticed in surprise that Cody Bradley cared about this little actress under his company a lot.
