“Gordon, what in the name of all that is holy do you want from me?” As soon as the call was successfully connected, Thea hissed into the phone.
John had recently lost money on an investment, and he was in no condition to deal with Thea in a pleasant manner. “What do I want?” John asked Thea. “Pay the 5 million dollars that you owe to me within the next three days. Or else I will make you pay, you little whore!”
“If you promise not to bother my mom, I’ll give you ten million dollars.” Thea put him to the test.
Gordon’s tone was a little uncertain as he asked, “Really? 10 million? When exactly are you going to complete the transaction, then?”
Thea’s anger grew so extreme that she yelled at John, “I told you that you need to leave my Mom alone.”
John let out a hearty laugh, which filled the space around him with, “Fine. In exchange for the immediate completion of the transaction, I will spend the rest of my life avoiding your idiotic mother.”
Thea quickly retorted, “So you didn’t kidnap her?”
“Kidnap her? Are you going to trash me again? That has never been me! Are you going to try to throw me in prison? Is this another one of your shenanigans?”
Thea abruptly terminated the call by hanging up. She was well aware that this cretin would lie to her if she questioned him about the matter directly. She needed to adapt a little deception to figure out what had happened.
However, it was abundantly evident that John was not the one who kidnapped her Mom.
Who could it be, exactly?

Meanwhile, Grace just woke up in a bleak ship at the port. All she could see was a never-ending gloom. She was just aware that she was trapped there and could hear the waves crashing on the rock.
It was difficult for her to yell because her mouth was taped shut. In addition, because her hands and legs were tied together, she could not move them.
Who would do such a thing to her? She had no idea what was happening, and her brain ache was excruciating.
Gordon was also the first name that sprang to Grace’s mind when she thought of his name. It could only have been that cretin!
What was he hoping to accomplish by taking her away this time? Did he intend to use her as a weapon against her daughter?
What a worthless hunk of rotten meat! She muttered a curse under her breath.
Grace scuffed her finger against the tape, although she didn’t truly believe that anyone could hear her.
She was raging inside but felt powerless to stop it. After that, the door was flung open, with a tremendous thump came from the metal. Instantaneously, Grace came to a standstill.
“Boss, we now have 20, 000 bucks in our possession. Let’s drown that old lady in the sea so we can get our hands on the remaining funds, shall we? After this, we can board the ship and sail away into the open water, where law enforcement officials won’t be able to track us down.”
“We have to be careful and get away from here in a safe manner. What if they find out about us? We are unable to relax our vigilance in any way.”
“What exactly are we going to do in that case?”
“I’ve left some hints on the phone in case you need them. We still have something that can be used as a threat to them if that cretin decides to kill us in order to silence us after all of this.”
“You’re incredibly astute, boss.”
Who would have thought John Gordon would pay these goons to assassinate her?
He was such a slithery person!
Thea!
I can’t die!
Thea! Thea!
As Grace began to pronounce her daughter’s name in her brain, she began to experience some difficulty.
“That bitch just woke up! It’s impossible for her not to have overheard what we said.”
“It doesn’t matter because she’s going to die anyway.”
“Let’s toss her into the water,” The man added.
BANG! BANG!
“What in the name of the Devil is that?!!” When they heard a heavy footstep, the gunfire followed, the kidnappers were all taken aback.
Grace had just seen a silhouette of a man standing near the entrance when she heard the sound of the gunshots.
Is that law enforcement?
Grace was overcome with shock and exhaustion. She passed out before waking up to the sound of someone running toward her.
“Mrs. Todd?! Are you okay? Mrs. Todd?”

Grace awoke the following afternoon in the medical facility where she had stayed. Grace finally opened her eyes as Thea broke down in tears.
“Mom! Mom!” Thea was trembling with tears.
While she sobbed, she wrapped her arms around Grace and hugged her tightly.
Thea’s Granny was also there and said, “John Gordon! What a knucklehead! I’m going to make him pay!”
“Thea! Mom!” Grace was overcome with emotion when she viewed a picture of herself beside her mother and daughter. She considered herself the most fortunate person in the world due to the fact that she was still alive.
Fritzi rejoiced as he stood at the entrance and saw the joyous occasion of their reunion.
However, after ensuring her mother was safe, Thea hurried over to Fritzi and said, “Fritzi, I know you and Drew saved my Mom by calling the police as quickly as possible. Thank you so much. Please accept my gratitude. A huge thank you for your help!”
Fritzi grinned and said in a gentle voice, “Please don’t thank me, sweetie. I just want to express my happiness that the two of you saw each other again and that Grace was safe.”
Thea gave Fritzi a bear embrace after she wrapped her arms around her neck. “But even so, I’d like to express my gratitude. You, Mom, Granny, and Drew. You guys are the most important people to me for the rest of my life. I pray that we can spend the rest of our lives together in peace and good health.”
Fritzi noticed that she was tearing up and said, “We will, sweetie.” I promise.”
