Cody brought Thea to the audition place at 2 p. m. The hall was filled with people. All of them were female actors. Some of them were quite famous, and they all came to audition for the main lead role, the girl with autism.
“Omigod! Thea! You also came!” Tiffany’s voice carried across the hall as she ran toward her.
Thea was startled. She turned around and nodded at her.
“You’re also coming for that role?” Tiffany asked.
“Just test out my luck,” Thea said, smiling.
The smile on Tiffany’s face deepened, “Oh really? I’m also here to test out my luck, actually. This role is quite good. The director said it’s gonna be Oscar-level. I guess small fishes like us probably won’t get any chance.”
Thea still wanted to study the character a bit. But Tiffany just refused to shut her big mouth.
Cody thus suddenly snapped, “Would you shut up?”
Tiffany was startled as she turned to look at Cody. The man had been sitting next to Thea constantly without saying anything, wearing a cap to cover his face.
However, when he looked up angrily, Tiffany suddenly saw his flawless features.
He was as perfect as a statue.
Tiffany’s mouth fell open, “Who… Who are you?”
“I’m her assistant. Would you keep quiet now?” Cody frowned. Even though he was angry, he still looked hot.
“O-okay…” Tiffany couldn’t explain why, but there was something about this handsome young man making people willing to obey whatever he said.
Tiffany sat there for a while and suddenly realized that a small assistant had just told her off. She went a bit mad as she took out her phone, taking a picture of Cody’s perfect side profile when he was not paying attention.
This man didn’t look like an assistant!! She must figure out who he really was!
“48, it’s your turn!” The director’s assistant shouted.
Tiffany stood up from her seat and went on the stage, 48 was her number.
Thea could finally enjoy some quietness. She looked up and saw Tiffany go on the stage gracefully.
The director looked at Tiffany a bit before dropping his eyes to the script. “You’re the girl with autism, and some bad people chase you.”
Tiffany’s eyebrow jumped happily as she heard the content that she was demanded to act out. She had practiced this part before. She remembered every flaw her acting teacher picked out when she did this at home. She was definitely gonna win.
Tiffany thus started to flee on the stage. She closed the door behind her nervously and then crouched to the door, covering her head as her whole body shook involuntarily.
Other judges were all surprised after seeing Tiffany’s performance. This newbie did a great job. Her acting wouldn’t be too much, and the changes in her emotions were also perfectly dealt with.
The director, however, frowned a bit. He had to admit that Tiffany’s acting was great. However, what she did exactly matched what the script wrote. She had even acted out the plots from the part he didn’t reveal to anyone yet.
The script had to be kept a secret before the shooting began. How heck did she manage to know the entire plot?
After the performance, Tiffany stood in the middle of the stage excitedly, waiting for the comments. The director, however, didn’t give many things out as he asked her to go back to wait for their message.
Other members of the panel thought she did a great job, telling her that her acting was great.
Tiffany resisted a smug smile as she went back to her seat. She could just leave, but she didn’t.
On the contrary, she chose to sit next to Thea, trying to make her feel nervous, “How was my acting?”
Thea answered seriously. “It was good.”
“Really? Thank you!” Tiffany was confident. She thought she would probably get the role. If she couldn’t, at least her acting would make those powerful men remember her. Apart from the director, all the other members of the panel were big figures in the movie industry.
She only needed a chance to prove herself in front of everyone.
“Do you wanna leave now, Tiffany? I can go get the car prepared,” Tiffany’s assistant asked carefully.
“It’s okay,” Tiffany shook her head, “I’ll stay here for a while.” She still wanted to see how was Thea’s acting.
It took the director’s assistant 30 more minutes to call Tiffany’s name, “60!”
Thea stood up and took in a deep breath. She went on the stage and bowed a bit, “Good afternoon. I’m Thea.”
The director took a look at the girl’s appearance at first. She was good-looking and young, fitting the beautiful appearance of the role very well.
And then, his eyes dropped to the script.
“You go back home late at night. When you open the door, you see a man covered in blood sitting on your couch.”
Thea nodded and closed her eyes. When she opened her eyes again, the look in her eyes suddenly changed.
The director noticed the small change of eyes at that moment, arching an eyebrow. Not so many rookies could change their emotions so conveniently.
Thea’s eyes were dead and dull as she grabbed the key and went to the kitchen. She didn’t find the man on the couch until she turned on the light.
She stood there, freezing deadly for a whole minute. And then, her chest started to heave heavily faster and faster. She fumbled to find her phone, “He-hello? 9-911? 911?! I…
“CUT!”
The assistant of the director yelled.
Thea recovered from her emotion and smiled at the panel, waiting for the comments from the judges.
The director was smiling, “First time acting?”
Thea nodded, “Yes.”
“Good job,” The director said, “Your eyes and emotions are accurate.”
Everyone in the hall was shocked. The director hadn’t given such a high comment to anyone yet.
Suddenly most actresses in this hall hated Thea. They thought she was complimented simply because of her pretty face.
Only those with true acting skills knew that Thea had done a wonderful job. She will surely become so big in the future.
Tiffany clenched her teeth after hearing the director’s comment about Thea. How could she act so well?
There must be a reason behind it!
