Melody was surprised to see Linford for the first time after she had been locked up in this little basement a couple of days ago.
“Are… Are you the one who captured my children and me and locked us up, Linford Bradley?” Melody hissed when she saw Linford, “You need to let us go! You’re breaking the law!”
“Oh, really?” Linford smiled, “I don’t think anyone who knows you will find you and your child. Your family knows the police have caught Melody Wilson.”
“What do you mean? Caught by the police?” Melody went a bit pale.
But Linford didn’t answer her question as he showed Melody his phone. On the screen, a woman who looked exactly like Melody was accepting an interview from the press.
“Who is she?!” Melody screamed, “Who the heck is she?!”
“Melody Wilson,” Linford laughed, “I can’t even tell the difference between you and that woman even though I’m watching the interview up close. This is amazing.”
“How did you…” Melody stuttered. She was so shocked at this moment that she couldn’t even spit out a word.
“This Melody is working for me. She will probably live as you for the rest of her life. And you can stay in this dim basement with your children for the rest of your life,” Linford threatened.
“What do you want?” Melody clenched her teeth.
“What I want is simple,” Linford said calmly, “I want you to tell the truth.”
He could control that woman who pretended to be Melody and make her say whatever he wanted her to spit out. But he still wouldn’t get the truth. Linford knew he was strong enough, but he needed to know how his twin brother, Clyde, died. His brother at least deserved justice.
“What truth are you talking about? I don’t know what you’re asking me to reveal.” Melody looked away.
“Oh, really?” Linford smiled coldly. “Then, enjoy rotting in this hell with your children!”
“Don’t!” Melody cried, “Just lock me alone! My children are innocent! Please let them go.”
Linford bellowed without turning around, “My brother was also innocent!”
The edge in his voice made Melody shudder.
She knew Linford had a soft spot for his twin brother. But she also knew Linford was a ruthless businessman. He would probably lock her up here forever if she refused to tell the truth. Even though she can accept this fate, she wouldn’t want her children to suffer with her.
“Would you bail me out of jail if I choose to play the witness and reveal the truth in court?” She shouted.
“I’ll send you abroad and give you enough money to spend for the rest of your life as long as you tell the public the truth,” Linford promised solemnly.
“Fine!” Melody clenched her teeth, “Okay. I will do whatever you tell me to do.”

The Lim family members were sitting on the couch, facing the TV, which reported the conflict between Bradley and Friesley.
It seemed like Bradley was falling gradually. Miles Johnson was smiling at the camera, promising that his company would purchase Daicom Corporation in the near future.
“This is great! I’d like to see how would that bitch show off before me after their downfall!” Pamela laughed.
“That Cristelle slut thought she became a wealthy housewife. But she turned out to be a jinx. She was bringing disasters to every man she met in her life! ”
Diego frowned at the TV. He had a feeling that things wouldn’t be this easy. There must be something they missed out on, knowing how devil Linford Bradley was.
He turned to Noah, “Should we leave this country immediately?”
Noah laughed, “Linford Bradley has scared the shit out of you. Things are going great. Why should we ever leave this country? The Bradley House has fallen. They can’t do anything to us! Even the White family is not as powerful as before. By the way, your parents are gonna come back as well. We can see each other soon.”
“Why are they coming back?” Diego didn’t have any good feelings after hearing Noah’s words.
Noah looked at him as if he was an idiot, “We are gonna slit Bradley’s business, of course.”
Bradley was in a crisis. Whoever came back first would get more.
Diego guessed what his father-in-law was thinking. “Please don’t do that. If Linford’s gonna…”
“Nothing will ever happen, Diego. Linford Bradley has been an utter underdog recently. He will never manage to fight back. Besides, Miles is the one who contacted us first. After taking away Bradley’s business, our family will thrive again. The wealth would at least last for generations. You really don’t need to worry about the whole thing.” Noah didn’t like Diego’s attitude. He thought that Diego was so scared and cowardly. He didn’t act like a man at all.
“But there are still risks. We both know that Linford Bradley wouldn’t fall that easily,” Diego argued.
“Diego, that’s enough!” The glorious prospect had blinded Noah. He couldn’t even think of the bigger picture.
The money they think they will get is a big driving force for anyone to lose their mind.
This time, Noah only wanted to return to Blue Field City and swallow whatever Miles could leave behind.

Diego was so anxious after getting to know Mile’s plan. He went to Pamela that night again, begging her to leave the country with the baby for their safety.
“What the heck are you talking about, Pamela? How can I just be together with anyone right now? You’re my wife!” Diego went mad.
“Then you shouldn’t tell me what to do. I’ll stay and watch when that bitch falls from grace!” Pamela clenched her teeth.
Diego was utterly speechless. When could Pamela be smarter? Why did she have to be so resentful?
“Pamela, listen… You will regret this if you don’t leave sooner,” Diego was desperate. He only wanted his child and the baby’s mother to be safe.
“Well, guess we can only find out if I’m gonna regret my decision after we return to Blue Field City,” Pamela smiled, “Would you pack the things for us first?”
Diego was utterly disappointed, but he didn’t have a choice. He could only go back to the city with Pamela and her parents the next afternoon.
Alfred reported the latest actions of the Barnett and Lim family. Linford gave a cold smile, “They just can’t wait to see my fake downfall, can they?” Those people meant to devour his company.
“Keep an eye on them and ensure they stay in the city for the show,” Linford hissed.
“Yes, sir,” Alfred left the office immediately.
