Linford didn’t want to argue with him as he slumped onto the sofa, “Help me make these wounds disappear. Just like what you did before. I don’t want anyone to see this.”
He didn’t want to scare Cristelle or the babies.
Drew sighed and grabbed his medical kit, “I can only make them gone temporarily. If you’re still a human, you really should stop doing this to yourself.”
Linford ignored him, “Did your grandpa tell you anything back home?”
Drew nodded as if he was bothered, “I don’t even know what happened to him. After returning from Mr. Wayne’s funeral, he insisted on introducing me to some girl, saying she could be my girlfriend and we should get married. Christ… I’m still too young for marriage, alright? I still want to have fun.”
Linford narrowed his eyes, “Really? What girl?”
“He said it’s a lady from a big family,” Drew complained, “He doesn’t even know my type. I wonder why he was in such a hurry to make me have babies.”
Linford smiled, “He probably just wants to see his great-grandson before he leaves this world. My Pop also got inspired after today’s funeral.”
Drew frowned a bit, but he didn’t let Linford see that look on his face.

The next morning, Candace went to Linford’s place quite early, holding a plate of homemade ice cream.
The door was unlocked. She thus walked directly into Linford’s bedroom. Linford was still sleeping in his bed.
Candace went forth and touched his face. Linford opened his eyes groggily, frowning. When he saw it was his little girl, a smile appeared on his lips, “Good morning, sweetie.”
Cristelle just got the breakfast ready, but she couldn’t find Candace. She searched for Candace in her house, but the girl wasn’t there. She thus went to Linford’s place.
Drew happened to wake up at the moment, whining, “Linford… It’s a bit cold… Can you come closer?”
Candace looked up in shock, and Cristelle happened to walk into Linford’s bedroom.
Why was Drew in Linford’s bed?
Cristelle suddenly remembered all those rumors about how the third son of the Bradley family never touched any women. Now, everything just started to make sense.
Cristelle narrowed her eyes.
Linford instantly realized what Cristelle must be thinking. He stretched his long leg and kicked Drew off his bed, trying to make it clear that he was not gay.
“Ow… My ass…” Drew covered his ass, rolling on the floor. He looked up and saw Cristelle’s face. He jumped up in a split second, holding a blanket against his naked body, “Cristelle! Listen! It’s not like what you’re thinking. I’m here because, geez! Linford Bradley explains it to her!”
Cristelle shrugged, picked Candace in her arms, and left the room.
“What the heck was that? She can’t be thinking that we’re actually sleeping together, can she?” Drew was panicked, “I’m still a fucking virgin! This is all your fault!”
“Shut up!” Linford threw him out of the bedroom.

Linford took Drew to have breakfast at Cristelle’s place. Candace shared her ice cream with them.
Drew needed to go after the meal. Linford and Cristelle also needed to go to work. Cristelle brought Candace with her.
“Welcome back!” The moment Cristelle stepped into the office, Fritzi and other colleagues uttered in a monotone, clapping. A big cake was on the desk.
Cristelle smiled, “I thought I would get fired after leaving so long.”
Candace was startled by the welcome party.
“I was so worried when I saw you get hurt. It’s great that you made it through,” Fritzi went forward and gave Cristelle a squeezing hug.
They walked into Fritzi’s office. She put an exquisitely wrapped box in Candace’s arms, “Honey, I made a new dress for you. Open it up. You’ll love it!”
Except for food, Candace loved beautiful dresses the best. She was so happy when she saw that dress. She leaned forward and gave Fritzi a kiss.
“Cristelle, I was so freaking worried last time. I probably won’t have any barbecue for the rest of my life,” Fritzi was still scared as she thought back to what happened, “I thought I would never see you again. To be honest with you, you’re probably the only friend I have in the company.”
Cristelle went forth and gave her a hug, “Come on. You really shouldn’t blame yourself for that. It’s not even your fault. The bad guy has been captured.”
Fritzi’s mouth fell open, “Seriously? She did that to you because of a man? Is she an idiot?”
Cristelle shook her head, “I won’t judge.”
Mr. Wayne’s death was finally published by the media this day. Linford only allowed big presses to report his death. Other media didn’t even dare to touch this news. The Wayne house went broke after Mr. Wayne passed away. The glory of the Wayne house was no more.
Fritzi sighed after seeing the news, “The Wayne House is not as powerful as the Bradley’s, but they are still one of the oldest families. However, they couldn’t pass on their legacy.”
Cristelle didn’t care much, “This is just how this world works. We should take care of ourselves instead of worrying about their problems.”
Fritzi put her phone on her desk, “You’re right. They will still be wealthier than us even if they had gone broke.”

The Wayne house lost all the “friends” after they fell. The burial of Mr. Wayne was pretty simple. Linford showed up during the burial and sent some flowers. He didn’t stay too long.
And then, it was Zoe’s trail. Zoe was sentenced to jail for the rest of her life because of murder. When she heard the news about her great-grandfather’s death, she cried so hard that her eyes were swollen so severely that she couldn’t even open them during the trial.
She bitterly regretted making friends with Clara.
But she knew she also deserved this. Making friends with Clara was her scheme to get more benefits from the White House. She had never expected to end up like this. With her great-grandpa gone, no one in her house could save her from prison.
She could never leave this place, no matter how hard she cried this time.
