Linford finally found a dance teacher for Candace. Her name was Cindy, and she was only 25 years old.
Candace liked her when she saw her.
“The dance class will start tomorrow. You also have piano classes and painting classes after that. You need to go to bed earlier tonight, honey,” Cristelle left a kiss on Candace’s forehead, who was watching cartoons on the sofa.
Candace pouted as she heard she needed to go to so many classes.
She finally had a summer vacation.
Why did she have to go to so many classes?
“You will go to Franco’s place to learn those things. You know how much Pop likes you,” This was Linford’s idea. Candace needed to learn those things. He didn’t care how well Candace would learn. He just wanted to make her interested in those things first.
Both Linford and Cristelle were pretty busy. He didn’t have the time to take care of Candace 24 hours a day, “You need to spend more time with Pop. Pop feels quite lonely living in that house. You need to make him happy, okay?”
Candace didn’t want to go at first. But after hearing Pop actually needed her, she instantly nodded.

They left quite early the next morning. When they arrived at Franco’s place, Franco had waited for a while. He even prepared a lot of desserts for his great-granddaughter. Candace loved it.
The dance teacher, Cindy, showed up at Franco’s place on time. She was a world-class dancer, and she tended to fly all around the world to perform. But she was pretty lowkey.
Today, she was wearing a soft long black dress, and her hair was pulled up into a twist. She was wearing a pair of glasses, making her look serious and classic.
Cristelle was a bit worried. She thought the teacher was a lively young woman. Could Candace really get used to this?
Could they get along?
She wanted to talk to Cindy first, so she could know Candace better. But Cindy had already approached Candace, who was eating cookies from the jar.
Cindy let out a sigh, “Honey, you can’t eat those things too much as a dancer. Or you’ll get chubbier.”
Candace put her hands down, blinking confusingly.
Franco was a bit offended, “Our Candace is not chubby. Candace is a beautiful little lady.”
Cindy shook her head, “Of course, Candace is beautiful. But she’s chubbier than girls about her age. It’s not good for her health.”
Knowing her teacher was just telling the truth, Candace was still a bit sad. She put down her jar of cookies on the table.
Franco looked so pissed off. Cristelle also thought this teacher was a bit disrespectful. Linford, however, spoke in a calm tone, “Did you hear that, sweetie? Eating that many desserts is not good for your health.”
Cristelle crouched down and touched the girl’s little head, “Don’t be sad, honey. Mommy will be here to pick you up after work, okay?”
Candace nodded. She actually didn’t want Cristelle to leave.

After walking out of Franco’s mansion, Cristelle turned to Linford confusingly, “What was with that, Cindy? She looked nice and friendly yesterday. Why did she suddenly change so dramatically?”
Linford didn’t think it was a problem, “I’ve investigated her. Yesterday was probably just an accident.”
Cristelle could understand that. Some people tended to disguise themselves during the interview to get the job. After they got the job, their temper would usually change. She just hoped that Cindy wouldn’t be one of them.
“Grandpa is still there. She didn’t dare to do anything to Candace even if she wanted to. Besides, Cindy was not wrong. Candace should consider her health a bit now,” Linford said, long fingers tapping on the wheel as they drove toward the company.
Cristelle thought for a while. What he said actually made sense. They didn’t argue anymore before they arrived at the company.

Darwin just came back from the military. Tanya went forth instantly, “People from the Wayne house came here to visit again. What should we do?”
Franco had told him how to deal with the Wayne family. Darwin waved his hand dismissively, “I’ve told them that we wouldn’t interfere with their businesses anymore. Tell them to leave.”
Tanya hastily explained, “I’ve told them to leave so many times, but they just refused to. Finally, they said they needed to see you. They’ve stayed here for a while. Why don’t you go see them so you can explain everything? Telling them to go is a bit cold.”
Darwin thought for a pause, “Fine. Just tell them to go to the study room.”
“Okay,” Tanya agreed excitedly, turning to look for the Wayne’s.
Gary was waiting anxiously in the parlor. He went forth the second he saw Tanya, “How was it? Did he say yes?”
Tanya sighed and twisted the new diamond watch on her wrist gingerly, “I tried so hard to persuade him. I’ve tried my best to help you. Don’t come to ask for a favor from me anymore if you can’t make him help you this time. I don’t owe you anything anymore.”
A big smile broke Gary’s face, “I know you can do this! I’ll send you more gifts after this talk.”
Tanya shook her head, “You don’t have to send any. Just get in. Darwin’s waiting.”
Gary said thanks again and got into the study room.
Darwin was sitting behind the desk, one hand holding a cup of coffee.
Gary didn’t say anything as he fell to his knees before the desk, “Darwin… Please… The Wayne family really needs your help. Our house is falling apart.”
Darwin thudded his cup on the table, “Get the fuck up, Gary! What the heck is this?! What would other people think if they got to see this?”
Gary refused to get up, crawling on his knees as he cried, “Darwin… You know, I would never plead on my knees unless it is a dead corner for me. Dad just passed away, and Zoe is in jail right now. Our company was going broke after your son withdrew his investment. Now… we’re really gonna die.”
Darwin frowned, “Zoe deserves it! She almost killed my grandchildren. Besides, we would have lent help if it were not for your dad’s will. He just left this world. Are you really gonna make his will a joke?”
