Cody lowered his gaze and checked out his own suit.
Why were their suits of the same design?
He suddenly didn’t want to wear it anymore.
Linford cleared his throat, “What time is it, Fritzi?”
Fritzi glanced at her watch, “Oh… We’ve still got half an hour. We’re not in a hurry.”
Linford walked toward Cristelle, casting Fritzi a cold glance, and nodded.
Fritzi shuddered a bit and suddenly realized what Linford was trying to convey, “Look over here, guys!”
Cristelle and the babies looked in Fritzi’s direction confusingly.
“Perfect! You guys looked so perfect together. I’m jealous,” Fritzi exclaimed.
Linford smiled faintly. Fritzi was really so smart to understand his silent order quickly.
Cody didn’t seem happy, seeing that Fritzi had taken a photo of them, “Wait! I don’t want to be in the same picture as him.”
“But I’ve taken it,” Fritzi blinked innocently.
“Delete it,” Cody wore a grim face, ordering in a stern manner.
Linford bent down, picking the boy up, “We should leave. It’s time to go.”
“Let me go,” Cody pouted, “I don’t want you to carry me.”
“Who’s gonna carry you?” Linford rolled his eyes and put him away randomly, holding Candace in his arms.
Candace was giggling.
Cristelle sighed, “Cody, Mommy will carry you, okay?”
“It’s okay, Mommy. I can walk,” The boy held her hand, “Your dress looks stunning. I don’t want to ruin it.”
Linford rolled his eyes again as he carried Candace into the car.
Little ass kisser. He thought.
The red carpet before the hotel was long. The lights of the cameras temporarily blinded Cristelle when their car arrived.
A long column of fancy cars lined up the driveway. All the important figures of the city had shown up tonight. Linford Bradley seldom showed up at an event like this. But he somehow decided to make his presence with his wife and children tonight. The journalists were so excited.
Those who paid attention would find out that most occasions where the lowkey billionaire made his presence were all because of his wife. He didn’t even have many photos leaked out when he participated in those business conferences before.
It was not hard to tell how important his family was to him.
Candace’s eyes were wide and amazed as she stared at those cars. Why was this place having so many people?
Cody frowned a little. He wasn’t scared of people, but he also didn’t enjoy being watched by so many people.
The driver asked respectfully, “Sir, do you wish to get out right now?”
“Yes,” Linford held Candace in his arms and pinched her little cheek a bit, “There’ll be so many people taking photos of you later, princess. Will you be brave for Daddy?”
Candace nodded obediently, and she raised her little face to his father.
The door was held open, and Linford was the first one to get out, holding Candace with one arm. Cody climbed down next, holding his mom’s hand like a little gentleman.
The presence of the family of four stirred a deafening burst of clicking of cameras. They instantly became the center of attention on the red carpet.
Candace was a bit scared, but she decided to stay brave for her Dad. Linford noticed his daughter was nervous, he bent down and carried her instead. She hastily hooked her chubby arms around Linford’s neck, wide eyes looking at the crowd curiously.
“It’s okay, sweetie,” Linford left a kiss on her chubby cheek, “We’ll be leaving soon after a short appearance.”
He cast a fleeting glance at the boy.
Cody looked sharp and proud in his small suit. His eyebrow arched a bit as he stared at those cameras like a little boss, his shoulders squaring.
Cristelle was standing next to her boy, elegant and beautiful as always.
Linford smiled as he reached out his free arm, pulling her tiny waist toward him as they continued walking.
They slowly walked along the long red carpet. The area was decorated elegantly. All the details were flawless and extravagant decorations were seamlessly decorated along each side.
Candace’s eyes flew to the long table filled with all the desserts. Her eyes were lit up.
Linford smiled and went to the table. He noticed the look on Cristelle’s face, so he told Candace with a hushed voice, “You can only eat a little, or Mommy will be mad at me again.”
Candace pouted a bit, whimpering against Linford’s shoulder.
“Playing cute won’t work this time, young lady,” Linford was finally having some principles imposed on her daughter, “Your tummy will hurt if you overeat.” He gently pinched her cheek.
Linford’s family was the first to walk in. When Candace finished her tiny piece of cake, other guests also arrived. All the fancy-dressed men and women took their seats. Cristelle didn’t dare to raise her face, but she knew they were secretly watching her.
She pretended she didn’t notice anything as she held Candace on her lap. Cody didn’t like being watched like a monkey in a cage. He kept a straight face. The more serious he appeared to be, the more he looked like his Dad. People were getting even more curious.
The hall was filled soon. Each round table had eight seats. Bradley’s table was in the center. And because of the absence of other family members, Linford, his wife, and his children were the only ones who sat there. Clara tried to join them, but she was guided to another table where other members of other big houses were sitting.
This event was a charity auction. The event has been held annually for the past 60 years. The Bradley house was the one that started it.
The Bradley house tended to send a representative here every year. Linford seldom showed up. That was why his presence made a fuss out of those journalists.
“You guys are gonna sit here? This one seemed comfortable,” Yanni suddenly sat beside Linford, “Mind if I’m sitting here?”
Linford cast him a glance, “Your butt is comfortably on the chair right now. I’m surprised you even bothered to ask.”
To be honest, he only wanted to be with his wife and children tonight, and Yanni’s presence spoiled his plan.
This rascal dares to disturb us. He silently scolded Yanni.
