“We can still beg Linford to reconsider everything when he shows up.” The idea was desperate. But Clara also didn’t know the right thing to do to help the Wayne family.
If Linford turned her down again, she would also be in trouble.
Franco’s man had come back from Linford’s company now, “Sir, your grandson is not in his office right now. His employee told me he had left the city with Cristelle.
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne panicked. Was Linford hiding from them right now?
What should they do?
Franco felt relaxed, “Guess there’s nothing we can do. Linford is not even in the city, but you guys can try to find him when he comes back. It’s getting late. You guys probably should go.”
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne stood up, crying at this point, “Mr. Bradley, please, we really need your help. Or our family would be doomed soon. Please save us.”
Franco sighed, “I’ll tell Linford when he comes back. You guys also heard what my man just said. Just leave now. As much as I’d like to help, I can’t even find him right now.”
Tanya went pale. How could Franco just push the Wayne couple out of his house? Was he out of his mind?
Mrs. Wayne was grabbing her hand, crying, “Tanya, you must help me. The Wayne house is gonna go broke without those projects. I’m begging you, please?”
Saying that, Mary took off her bracelet and shoved it into Tanya’s hands, “Please… I’m begging you.”
Gary was also desperate, “Tanya, you’re our niece. You’re surely gonna do your relatives a favor, aren’t you?”
Tanya was a bit annoyed. Clara was the one who went forth, “Mr. Wayne, Mrs. Wayne, please don’t be like this. Tanya is only a housewife in the Bradley house. She has no say when it comes to business. Bringing you guys here is the best she can do. Please calm down now. Tanya and I will still try to help. We’ll call you when we get some progress. You guys should go home and take some rest.”
Tanya smiled dryly, “Clara is right. It would help if you guys went back. We’ll inform you when we can find a better solution.”
With that, she walked away. Tanya was a bit annoyed right now. She didn’t even know what to do anymore.
Gary and Mary still didn’t want to give up. But the servants of the house asked them to leave politely.
There was nothing they could do.
Tanya slammed against the table when she went back to her place, “What’s wrong with the old man? Everyone knows Linford will always listen to him! But he hadn’t even made the call! Obviously, he doesn’t want to help us! That cunning old piece of shit! He did this on purpose!”
“Jesus! Tanya! You can’t say that!”
Clara gasped, closing the door. She also looked awful, but soon, a gleam of coldness shot across her eyes.
“Tanya, have you ever thought about this? Linford and Cristelle have left, but their babies are still in the city.”
Tanya’s eyes quickly lit up, but soon she started to worry again, “But the two cities are not very far from each other. They can come back at any time.”
“What if they can’t come back tonight?” Clara uttered coldly.
“So you’re saying that…”
Clara nodded, “If they can’t come back tonight, we can pick the babies up from the kindergarten. It’s a great opportunity to teach Candace how to speak. When will your cousin come back?”
“He will be here this afternoon. I called him two days ago.”
“Perfect! We’re only trying to make Candace get better. I believe Franco won’t blame us for doing this,” Clara smiled triumphantly.
Tanya loved the idea, “It’s genius. But how are we gonna stop them from coming back?”
Clara leaned in and whispered something into Tanya’s ears. Tanya’s eyes lit up in excitement.

When Cristelle left the airport, she fished out her phone and checked Fritzi’s message.
She had sent her the address of that store. Cristelle thought for a while and decided to take the subway. She slung her bag over her shoulder and walked toward the nearest entrance.
However, a voice suddenly made her stop, “Cristelle!”
Cristelle thought she had an illusion. She didn’t believe who she had just heard until Diego showed up in front of her.
“Why are you here, Diego?” Cristelle frowned.
Diego stopped her, “I’ve been here waiting for you.”
After seeing that video clip on the Internet, Diego had not been himself. Instead, he had been stalking her all day. And he finally met her here.
“You’ve been waiting for me?” Cristelle felt disgusted, “You are stalking me, aren’t you? We have no business with each other anymore. Stop bothering me. If I see you again, I’m gonna call 911.”
Saying that, she walked into the station without looking back.
But Diego followed, explaining, “Cristelle, I’ve never thought to use you. Could you stop doing this to me? I just want to talk. Can we sit down and talk?”
Cristelle didn’t even want to look back, “We have nothing to do with each other anymore, Diego. I don’t think there’s anything left for us to talk about. Can you leave me alone?”
“I can’t, Cristelle! I fucking can’t!” Diego was becoming irritated, “We’ve known each other since we were kids. We went to the same high schools and colleges. We’ve been through so much together. So how could you just spit me out?”
Cristelle only wanted to roll her eyes. She couldn’t understand this man. She can’t figure out what exactly he wants from her.
She had a tight schedule today. And she didn’t want to waste one more minute with him. She got on the train and sat down.
Diego stood before her, hand grabbing a strap, acting as if he was her boyfriend who tried to protect her.
Cristelle looked away, feeling utterly annoyed.
She stood up from her seat when it was her stop to take off. Diego still followed, “Cristelle, wait for me!”
Cristelle dashed forward, but Diego was faster, and she was in her heels.
In the end, she couldn’t take it anymore. She stopped, glaring at the man, “Can you stop now? I’m so tired of this, Diego!”
“Come on, Cristelle. I just wanna talk.” Diego stubbornly blocked her way.
“Hello, 911?” Cristelle put her phone to her ear. But Diego snatched her phone away.
“What the fuck, Diego?!”
“I’m only asking for a chance to talk,” Diego begged, “Just for a little while.”
