Enzo frowned as he looked at the boy’s face, “Can I know your name, little one?”
“It doesn’t matter. Today is about you and my Mom. You guys should have a chat and get to know each other. Don’t mind me. I don’t exist,” Cody waved one hand.
Enzo only wanted to laugh. Instead, his eyes fell on the woman before him again. That red dress plastered on her body like a second skin. Her long hair cascaded down to her tiny waist. She had a lovely face and a hot body.
She was a beautiful woman in everyone’s eyes.
“My boy is just messing with me. I’m so sorry for wasting your time, sir.” Cristelle abruptly apologized.
Cody was not happy hearing that,” Mommy, I’m extremely serious right now! Are you gonna be single forever?”
Cristelle froze.
She didn’t expect Cody to take this issue so seriously.
Enzo was getting increasingly interested in this pair, “What is your boy’s name?” Enzo curiously asked.
“Cody Bradley,” Cristelle answered.
Bradley?
Was the boy Cody?
Enzo looked at the boy and then at the woman. He suddenly realized something.
His men saw that smile on his face. They all thought their boss was out of his mind. He seldom smiled.

Alfred finally reported the boy’s location to Linford. “He did what?” The veins on Linford’s forehead popped out. He hadn’t been so mad for years. Candace was sitting on his lap and eating cookies. Her dad’s growl startled her, making the girl drop her cookie.
Linford quickly uttered sorry and lowered his voice instantly, “Don’t let them run away again. I’m on my way.”
Cody didn’t know his plan had been exposed. Then, he noticed the tough guy before him wasn’t talking. He thus grew a bit unhappy.
Wasn’t he impressed by his Mom’s appearance? Those who didn’t like his Mom were either blind or out of their minds.
He didn’t know the man had sent out a message secretly.
“Hey, you,” Cody sounded a bit offensive now, “What’s your name? You haven’t made any introduction yet.”
“Why is the change of attitude? You were calling me ‘sir’ a couple of seconds ago.” Enzo smiled as he turned toward his men, “Guys, grab some food and drinks for the boy.”
So he knew how to take care of people? That was not bad. Cody folded his little arms before his chest as he thought to himself.
“Do you like watermelon juice?” Enzo served the juice to Cody and Cristelle.
Cody nodded gingerly, “Watermelons are not bad.”
In fact, he loved watermelons in summer.
“Sir, you haven’t answered my questions yet. What’s your name?”
“Well… It’s not convenient for me to leak my information. I hope you…”
“Inconvenient? Are you kidding me?” Cody pushed the glass of juice away, “You’re keeping your information on purpose. Are you turning my Mom down because she has babies? Let me tell you. Letting my Mom slip away is your loss.”
“Cody, stop saying anything,” Cristelle was so embarrassed.
Cody pouted. When could his Mom understand his intention? He was doing this for her!
“Your son is cute. He loves you. He doesn’t want to see you being lonely all the time,” Enzo told Cristelle, explaining what the boy was thinking.
Cristelle took a sip from her glass, smiling at the man before her. For some reason, she thought the man before she was familiar. She felt they had met each other long ago, but she couldn’t remember where.
“My babies are both really good kids. It’s just that I don’t have any plans to get married for now. I feel happy and content having my two babies with me. I don’t need a man or anything.”
Cody felt both sad and heartwarming hearing what his Mom said, “Mommy, I don’t want you to be all alone.”
“ALL ALONE?! Cody Bradley? Are you serious?” Linford’s growl was carried to their ears.
He walked into the space carrying Candace in his arms, looking extremely pissed off.
Cristelle flinched. This man could be so scary if he wanted to.
“What are you doing here?” Cody didn’t seem to cringe as he saw his biological father, “Mommy’s having a blind date. Don’t ruin this. You guys have a contract. No interference in personal lives. Remember?”
Linford sat his daughter on his brother’s lap, “Cody, you need to listen very clearly. This gentleman here is my older brother and your uncle. Do you even know what the heck you are doing here?”
Un-uncle? Cody’s mouth fell open.
Cristelle also went frozen.
“Little man, you need to be taught a lesson! Don’t you ever do this again!” Linford was genuinely pissed off today. He grabbed the boy by his scruff and picked him up. He could bear Cody’s little tricks and retaliations. But today, he was literally gonna sell his wife to another man.
He couldn’t bear it.
“Let go of him! You’re hurting him!” Cristelle was scared.
Cody was kicking and lashing out at Linford. Linford held him at arm’s length so the boy couldn’t reach him.
“Are you aware of your mistakes, Cody Bradley?”
Linford must make him apologize.
Cody didn’t look like he was gonna admit his mistake, “I didn’t mean to do that!”
How could he know that man was actually his uncle?
“Answer my question. Are you aware of your mistakes?” Linford didn’t give in. The look in his eyes was stern.
“Cody, just admit you’re wrong,” Cristelle panicked.
“Fine! I was wrong!” Cody finally gave in. Linford only put him down after hearing that. Enzo laughed as he pulled his nephew in his arms, laughing, “I like this little boy.”
“Just take him with you if you like him,” Linford looked like he was exhausted.
Enzo checked out the boy in his arms. The boy looked exactly like Linford when he was this age. He noticed the boy’s shirt went damp. So he proposed to talk inside one of those guest rooms where the AC was on.
Cody didn’t feel scared of any strangers. He looked up and asked, “Are you, my uncle? Linford’s brother?”
Enzo suddenly realized that the boy didn’t like Linford at all.
“Of course,” Enzo smiled, “We are brothers.”
