“Candace, this is your uncle,” Linford introduced the girl to his brother. Candace’s eyes were wide as she stared at the man before him. She saw her brother was sitting on that man’s lap. She opened her mouth, trying to say something, but she couldn’t make a sound. She sniffed, almost crying again as she rested her head on Linford’s shoulder.
Cristelle patted her girl’s back gently. “Candace, it’s okay…”
Enzo gave Linford a confusing look. Cody answered for his sister, “Candace can be timid sometimes. She didn’t feel very well today. That’s why she doesn’t want to talk.”
Candace felt awful. Cody always tried to save her whenever things like this happened. She also wanted to be like normal kids.
Enzo understood the situation instantly.
His niece probably had a condition.
But it didn’t matter.
He reached for the girl and hoisted her on his lap with one hand, “Candace, do you like kites? Wanna fly some kites? Today’s weather is great.”
Candace nodded as she stared at the man before her. Her Uncle was as good-looking as her Dad.
“Let’s go!”

They went to the lake, and Enzo picked a medium-sized kite, explaining how to fly kites patiently to the twins.
Candace got so excited as she started to run around along the shore. Then, she suddenly tripped and fell forward.
Cristelle gasped, going to help instantly, but Linford stopped her, “It’s okay. She’ll stand up by herself.” He was too close. Cristelle could feel his hot breath fanning against the skin behind her ear. She instantly blushed. And then, just like what he said, the little girl stood up by herself and continued playing and laughing.
Enzo had been protecting them all the time like a bodyguard. His men were all stunned.
When did their boss become so gentle? They couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
The wind played with the hem of Cristelle’s dress, revealing the smooth skin on her beautiful legs now and then. Some men couldn’t help looking in their direction all the time. Linford’s face fell as he realized what was happening.
He stared at Cody, thinking seriously about giving him to Enzo. Enzo liked him. He would probably adopt him.
Linford really didn’t want to see Cody again, as he was so pissed off today.
“You guys must be tired, right? Let’s go grab something to eat,” Enzo picked the two babies up in each arm, leading the way, “Do you guys like seafood? They got the best lobsters here. I bet you’re both gonna like them.”
Linford put a hand on Cristelle’s lower back, inserting his ownership in front of all the other men who dared to put their eyes on Cristelle, “I remember you like seafood, right?” Cristelle tried to pull away, but she failed. His big hand was like it was made of iron.
“Let go!” Cody suddenly yelled over Enzo’s shoulder.
“What, Cody? You don’t want to be carried by Uncle?” Enzo looked like he was startled by the boy. Why did he suddenly yell?
Cody stared at Linford dead in the eyes. How could he hold his Mommy like that? Was he a pervert?
Cristelle had no clue why Cody yelled. But Linford perceived the reason instantly. So he pulled Cristelle closer intentionally, eyes falling indignantly on the boy’s face, “You’re not gonna make your Mommy hold you, are you?”
That was Cody’s plan.
If he had asked Cristelle to carry him, Linford Bradley wouldn’t be able to put his hand on Cristelle.
But when Linford said that out loud, it made him feel weak in front of his soldier uncle.
Cody only met his Uncle today. But he admired anyone who came from the Army. He didn’t want to look like a little girl in front of this man.
“No! What are you talking about?” Cody was so pissed off right now. But he could only whip around, pretending he didn’t see anything.
Candace also couldn’t understand what Cody was trying to do. She enjoyed being carried around by their Uncle.
They finally went to the restaurant and sat beside the table.
Cody ordered whatever he liked. He didn’t care about money. That filthy rich guy would pay for them anyway.
“Order some desserts for Mommy. You know what she likes,” Linford suggested.
“You don’t have to remind me,” Cody huffed.
Enzo only wanted to laugh as he saw the squibs between the father and son. He didn’t know why the boy seemed to dislike his brother. But he knew his brother was gonna solve this one way or another.
Enzo started to peel shrimp for the babies, and Linford started to peel shrimp for Cristelle.
Cristelle was a bit embarrassed, “You don’t have to do this. I can handle it.”
What the heck was wrong with this man today?
Why was he acting this way to her in front of everyone?
Cody has always been a sweet boy. He peeled shrimp by himself as he smiled at his Uncle, “Uncle, I can do this by myself. By the way, why are you here today?”
“I’m taking a day off. So I decided to take a walk.”
Take a walk?
More like taking a walk and picking up a wife.
Cody smiled, “Uncle, have you married?”
“No.” Enzo shook his head, sounding confused. And then, he laughed at Linford, “The babies are so smart, Linford. You’re lucky.
And then, he raised his glass of wine at Cristelle, “My youngest brother has been wild since he was a boy. I know he has a lot of shortcomings, but he has a good nature. Cristelle, I know Linford can get a bit intolerable sometimes. But I hope you can forgive him when he makes any mistakes. However, if he dares to bully you, just tell me, and I’ll teach him a massive lesson.”
Cristelle instantly panicked. Was he treating her as Linford’s wife now? She wanted to explain something, but Cody suddenly started to talk, “Uncle, you misunderstood the situation. Actually…”
“Hey, Cody, you know what? Enzo’s a great shooter,” Linford tried to distract the boy. “Wow! With real guns?” Cody’s eyes widened, his mouth dropping open.
