Chapter 184
There’s something I need to tell you Lisa” Daisy said
“What’s that?” Lisa asked in response
“Can we go outside and talk”
Daisy said and Lisa nodded as they both walked outside the house.
“You can’t take her out,” Daisy said and Lisa raised her eyebrows wondering why she said she can’t take her mom out.
“I do not understand. Why can’t I take her out?” Lisa asked Looking so confused.
“Lisa, I do not want anything that will harm her. Trying to force her to remember things would only make things worst and harm her in a way you wouldn’t imagine” Daisy said
“No Daisy, that’s a lie and besides I wouldn’t force her to remember things. I just want to hang out with her” Lisa said and Daisy scoffed.
“Well, you can hang out with her here but she’s not going anywhere with you,” Daisy said and Lisa scoffed wondering why Daisy was acting like a possessed witch all of a sudden.
“Even though she can’t remember me she’s still my mom, Daisy. Do I have to remind you of that?” Lisa said as she was almost getting angry.
“Seriously? You call her your mom? Lisa, where were you when she needed you the most? What did you do when your pathetic uncle shot her in the forehead? You left her dying right? and you come here calling her your mom.
Oh wow!!! The mom you left behind is dead! This one is now mine. My mom and I won’t come here and let you ruin whatever relationship I have built with her all these years, ” Daisy said as Lisa felt tears gather in her eyes.
That was a lie, she didn’t leave her mother to die. She tried to do anything in her power to save her but she was taken out of the house that day forcefully, against her will.
“Daisy, I thought we were best friends. I thought you wanted the best for me and for my mom to remember me. Why are you acting this way?” Lisa asked, trying to reason with Daisy. She was so surprised she was acting all weird all of a sudden.
That wasn’t the Daisy she knew. The Daisy she knew was a kind and caring girl who would want nothing but for Lisa and her mom to be happy.
“We were never friends Lisa. Besides I never liked you from the start” Daisy paused and Lisa opened her eyes wide in shock.
“Yeah, don’t be surprised. You were just too dumb to notice how much I hated you. After my mother died and your mom took me in, I saw all the love she showed you, how she cared for you.
It made me realize my mom never for once loved me even before she died. I never felt the love of a mother until I met yours. She showed me what it meant to be loved and cared for by a mother. I wanted all the love to myself but you were always in the way. I’m glad you are out now and she doesn’t remember you.
She will always think I’m the daughter she’s always had. I know you’ll say this is selfishness but it isn’t Lisa. It is not. So please, if you do not mind staying the fuck away from me and my mom” Daisy said and Lisa stared at her angrily.
“You bastard” Lisa groaned as she gritted her teeth in anger. Daisy was a snake under the green grass. She’s been pretending all this while, she couldn’t believe what she was hearing from her. How can she be this evil and selfish? Lisa thought as she stared at Daisy angrily.
“If you don’t mind, I’ll be going inside now,” Daisy said with a smile on her face and was about to walk inside the house when Lisa pulled her back and a hot slap landed on Daisy’s cheeks making her staggered a bit.
“How can you do this to me and my mother after all we’ve done for you? You had nothing Daisy, you were just a poor little kid who desperately needed help and someone because her parents died.
My mom took you in and loved you like her own and you repay her with this. You are such a heartless beast. I hate you so much” Lisa yelled angrily.
Daisy, whose face was hurting from the slap Lisa had given her, stared at Lisa with hatred in her eyes without saying a word. She was about to walk inside the house when Lisa spoke, making her stay rooted to a spot.
“The truth will always prevail, Daisy. One way or another, no secret can be hidden for long and I believe one day my mother is going to regain its memories when the time is right I’m not gonna give up till that day comes and when that day comes, I hope you rot in hell” Lisa said and Daisy hissed before walking inside her house locking the door, leaving Lisa outside the house.
Tears slipped down Lisa’s cheeks as Daisy walked inside the house. She couldn’t believe he would do such a thing to her. She thought Daisy loved her like a sister, Lisa thought as she wiped her tears and walked inside her car. She ignited the engine and zoomed off.
Meanwhile, Daisy sat on the couch in the living room with her hands on her cheeks which were burning from the slap Lisa had given her.
Just then Mrs. Rebecca walked out of her room wearing a simple gown.
“I have been trying to look for simple wear but I found this. Freya can you help me zip up” Mrs. Rebecca said and Freya nodded as she walked towards her and helped her zip up her gown.
“Perfect ” Mrs. Rebecca thought and then raised her head staring around the room, when she didn’t get a glimpse of Lisa she turned to daisy.
“Daisy, where’s Lisa?” She asked Daisy, jolting her out of her thoughts.
“She’s left,” Daisy said in response.
“But why? I thought she was……..” Mrs. Rebecca paused as she placed her hands on her forehead. Flashes came running into her head, they weren’t so blurry this time but it was still blurry and she could see a little girl whose eyes were filled with tears.
“Mommy,” the little girl called out.
