Chapter 132
No one is above mistake, Alfred. People make mistakes. No matter who we are or how influential we are, one way or the other we’ve hurt people and made so many mistakes but that doesn’t make us a bad person” Mr. Luke said and Alfred shook his head.
“You don’t understand,” Alfred said as he felt so heartbroken. All he could feel at that moment was Pain and regret.
“I understand, Alfred. I can see you regret everything you did to her, you just have to make her see how much you regret it and how far you’ll go to make things right” Mr. Luke said and Alfred turned to him.
“How do I even do that when she doesn’t even want to talk to me? She hates me so much” Alfred said
“You do not need to speak to her to make her see you regret everything. Action speaks louder than words. Act and Act. Make her see it through your Act “Mr. Luke said and Alfred stared at him without saying a word.
“Does that mean the quadruplets are yours?” Mr. Luke asked.
“I don’t know. She was pregnant when she disappeared. I do not know if the baby survived or maybe the kids are for another man” Alfred said. The thought of it alone made his heartbreak.
He wondered how Lisa had managed to survive all these years. Are the kids his? What if she’s married and has those kids for her husband, Alfred thought helplessly. Just then One of Mr. Luke’s guards walked in and whispered in Mr. Luke’s ear and he nodded before the guard walked away.
He brought out his phone and went straight to the internet. “It’s all over the internet that she slapped you and there are lots of bad reviews. It’s gonna affect her restaurant, Alfred. You need to do something about it” Mr. Luke said.

It was morning and Lisa had woken up feeling so tired. She managed to stand up from her bed and walked inside the bathroom. She brushed her teeth and went downstairs to prepare breakfast for the kids.
After she was done, she went upstairs to the kid’s room and woke them up from sleep. She helped them take their bath and got dressed for school. After then they went downstairs and sat on the dining chair while Lisa served them food and went upstairs to her room to take her bath and get dressed for work.
By the time she was done, the kids were done eating. She helped them carry their bags and lunch boxes and then put them in the car. After that, they all hopped into the car. She dropped them off at school and went to the restaurant.
Her car screeched to a halt in front of the restaurant. She alighted the car with her bag in her arms. She stared at the compound of the restaurant and noticed it was so calm and empty.
It was unlike it. Every morning when she had come to the restaurant she had always seen lots of cars parked in the restaurant and lots of people coming out but today was different, everything looks different.
Just then she caught a glimpse of Dina walking out of the restaurant.
“Hey, what’s wrong? What happened?” Lisa asked as she walked toward Dina.
“We haven’t made any sales since this morning. It’s unlike it, no one has come to buy anything since” Dina said and Lisa sighed softly.
“Is it because of what happened yesterday?” Lisa asked and Dina nodded. Lisa stared around the compound and exhaled deeply.
“It’s not the end of the day, I’m sure people are going to come. Everything is going to be fine, the restaurant is going to be fine” Lisa said. She knew everything was not going to be fine again now Alfred had come back into her life but she kept saying everything was going to be fine.
She was only trying to encourage herself so she wouldn’t break down. She knew nothing was going to be fine. She walked inside the restaurant to her office. She locked the door and dropped her bag on the table then sat tiredly on the chair.
“If I had known this was going to affect the restaurant I wouldn’t have done it,” she said, almost regretting the fact that she had slapped Alfred. But on second thought, she didn’t regret it and she was going to make Alfred pay if anything happens to the restaurant she had built with her sweat and everything, she thought between gritted teeth.

It was evening and almost closing hours. Lisa had carried her bag and was ready to go pick up the kids from school. She hated the fact that Daniel had told the nanny not to come again.
It was stressful for her getting the kids ready for school, dropping them off, and coming to the office to work before going back to pick them and then Alfred just wanted to add his own, she thought.
Motherhood was not an easy one and she admits she needs a helping hand. She needs a new nanny, she thought as she picked up her car keys.
Just as she was about to leave, Dina walked inside her office. “What’s wrong?” Lisa asked as she noticed the sad look on her face.
“We haven’t made any sales since this morning. If we don’t sell out the food we prepared, it’s gonna waste, thereby causing loss for us” Dina said and Lisa joined her lips together. It was all her fault, she shouldn’t have let her anger get the best of her. She sighed softly without saying a word.
“Do you want us to get help from Daniel?” Dina asked
“No, Daniel is busy and I do not want to disturb him with my problems, ” Lisa said.
“What are we gonna do then to ensure the same thing doesn’t happen tomorrow? If we keep getting lost every day, it’s gonna affect the restaurant ” Dina said
“I’ll fix it. It’s my problem and I promise to fix it by tomorrow ” Lisa said
“What about the food?” Dina ask
“Give the ones you can give out to the beggars in the street. The workers can take as much as they want and you can take them home too. I’ll go get my kids from school” Lisa said as she walked out of her office. She wasn’t sure how she was going to fix it but she just needed to find a way to fix it.
