Chapter 79
Let’s go Dina ” Lisa said and just as she was about to leave Tessa dragged her hand and Lisa did the unexpected by giving her a resounding slap on her face.
Everywhere in the room became as silent as a graveyard as they were in shock to see Lisa slap Tessa.
“Don’t mistake my silence for weakness” Lisa said and with that, she walked out of the ward with Dina and Clara trailing behind her.
Tessa stood in shock. She opened her mouth wide. Lisa slapped her. No, Lisa of all people just slapped her and she couldn’t do a thing about it.
Oh my, Lisa is done for good, Tessa said aloud and was about to walk out of the hospital ward when she felt a hand hold her dress.
“Not so quick, calm down, ” Lydia said
“Lydia, that girl just slapped me and you expect me to keep calm,” Tessa said looking so frustrated.
“Yes. Everything is going to go as planned this time because you’re going to Daniel’s office to tell him Lisa slapped you because you tried helping her” Lydia said smiling.
Lisa is seen inside the car, she was looking almost angry, almost. But she managed to calm herself down.
Dina nor Lisa had said anything to each other since they left the hospital. Dina was still surprised at what Lisa did at the hospital and the statement she made “Don’t mistake my silence for weakness ” those words kept ringing in Dina’s ear.
Lisa turned to Dina who was holding Clara.
“I’m sorry sweetheart you had to witness that in the hospital ward. it’s just a minor issue between me and Tessa. We’re gonna sort it out” Lisa said to little Clara and she nodded.
” I’ll get you some toys before going home,” Lisa said and touched her hair and she nodded in response.
Dina smiled at Lisa and Lisa did the same.
“Thank you for defending me today. And thank you for saving me, I would have been in the theatre by now” Lisa said to Dina.
“It’s nothing and I’m glad I was able to help. It’s nothing compared to what you did for me and my baby. Just know we will always be here for you” Dina said and Lisa smiled at her.

After Lisa had gotten home she was so exhausted. She had gone shopping for little Clara and had asked the driver to take Dina and Clara home before taking her home.
She still couldn’t believe Tessa would do much to her. Even though she hates her so much, she never thought she would do anything to harm her unborn baby. Is she that heartless? she thought.
She climbed upstairs to her room, took her bath, and laid on her bed tiredly, and then she drifted to sleep.

Daniel is seen in his office going through some files on his table when Williams walks in.
“What did you find, Williams?” Daniel asked
“Sir, the CCTV camera was disabled before the incident took place and it stated that Liam never went to the cafe to get coffee,” William said and Daniel raised his head and dropped his pen.
“This means someone got the coffee from the cafeteria and gave it to Liam to give Lisa. This means whoever did this is in this company ” Daniel said and joined his lips together.
“Do you have any idea the last person Liam spoke with before and after the incident?” Daniel asked
“Sir, Liam had spoken to a lot of people that day so I can’t tell,” Williams said
“Can you check out the list of people who bought coffee from the cafeteria that day?” Daniel asked
“Sir, almost everyone in the company got coffee from the cafeteria that day so it would be so difficult finding out who and we wouldn’t want to accuse the wrong person, ” Williams said
“Whoever is behind this is smart to cover up their tracks that no one would even think they’re suspect, ” Daniel thought
“Keep looking into it, maybe you’ll find something, ” Daniel said and William nodded before leaving.
Immediately after Williams left the door burst open revealing Tessa.
“Tessa” Daniel called as she walked in, in tears.
“Tessa, what’s wrong?” Daniel stood up immediately as he walked toward her. Even though she and Tessa weren’t as close as before, he still cares about her and would always care about her.
Tessa said no word as she kept crying.
“Common, stop crying already. You know how much I hate it when you cry. Stop already and tell me what’s wrong” Daniel said as he touched her face and she groaned in pain.
“What? What happened to your face?” Daniel asked as he saw red marks on her face. He felt almost angry, who would do this to Tessa? This wasn’t just a mark, Someone inflicted it on her.
“Who did this to you?” He asked
“Lisa did, ” she cried out.

It was evening and Lisa had woken up feeling as tired as ever. She felt so hungry too.
She stood up from the bed and checked the wall clock, it was 8 pm already. She thought maybe Daniel would be back so she walked out of her room to check if he was back but sadly he wasn’t.
She walked inside the kitchen, served herself some food, and ate. When she was done eating she decided to watch Tv when Daniel walked in.
She felt so happy and relieved to see him. She’s been feeling bored and now Daniel is back.
She stood up and walked towards him then hugged him. “Welcome, ” she said and pulled away from the hug.
Daniel hummed and walked past her to his room, without saying a word. It was unlike him. She then wondered what was wrong with him. Maybe he was tired, she thought and went back to continue watching Tv.
