Lisa joined her lips together staring at Dina. She would love to tell her everything but she just doesn’t trust Dina, At Least not yet, and that aside, she just doesn’t want to remember anything related to her past life because it’s just too traumatizing.
“I can see you don’t feel comfortable talking about it. It’s alright, anytime you’re ready, I’m always here” Dina said and placed her hands on Lisa’s hands.
Dina felt there was something off with the way Lisa was acting now. Maybe something about her and Daniel’s relationship isn’t true or perhaps she’s the one overthinking things. She quickly shook off the thoughts.
“Yeah, thanks,” Lisa said and smiled.
“We should start moving before it gets dark. I bet you don’t want to do the shopping at night” Dina said and Lisa laughed.
“Before then we’re gonna go visit Lydia at the hospital,” Lisa said as she stood up. She sat in front of her mirror.
“Lydia? Who’s Lydia?” Dina asked
“She’s Tessa’s friend. She was with us when she gave birth last night ” Lisa said as she picked up her comb and brushed her hair.
“Oh!! You mean Tessa as in Daniel’s best friend?” Dina asked to be sure
“Yeah,” Lisa said as she packed her hair in a ponytail.
“You went out with them yesterday?” Dina asked
“Not really. Daniel took me to his mom’s house yesterday and Tessa and her friend Lydia were there too” Lisa said
“Woah, you mean the almighty villain, Mrs. Bella. I thought she didn’t like you?” Dina asked
“Do I thought, but everything is changed now and she likes me ” Lisa said
“Just be careful alright, not all that glitters are gold,” Dina said and nodded.
Lisa stood up looking all dressed.
“Let’s go,” Lisa said and Dina stood up from the bed.
“Are we taking the taxi or what?” Dina asked
“No, the driver Daniel appointed for me will take us there. It’s too risky for me to take a taxi. Whoever asked Liam to give me that coffee is still out there and I’m sure he or she is planning something else so I need to be careful ” Lisa said and Dina nodded in agreement.
“Clara, let’s go” Dina yelled as they climbed down the stairs.
“Mommy, I don’t want to go home yet. I want to play with those toys” Clara pouted as she walked out of the toy room with ma’am Lois.
“We are not going home yet. We are going shopping and I’ll get you some toys there” Dina said and Clara jumped up happily.
Lisa smiled as she stared at Clara. She’s just so much like a little nova. Just yesterday she saw nova. She liked her so much already. She just can’t wait to see her again.
“Bye ma’am Lois” Clara waved at ma’am Lois who smiled at her.
“I’m going now. I’ll be back before dawn” Lisa said and ma’am Lois nodded in response.
Clara, Lisa, and Dina walked out of the house and hopped into the car. The driver ignited the engine and zoomed off.
The car screeches to a halt in front of the hospital and Lisa is seen coming down from the car with Dina and Clara behind her.
They were holding different bags which contained some baby things they had shopped for Lydia.
Lisa felt so happy doing what she was doing right now.
“I have a bad feeling about this” Dina said to Lisa
“Calm down, you’re overthinking things,” she said and she nodded in response
Immediately as they entered Lydia’s ward, they met Lydia lying on the hospital bed with Tessa sitting beside her. They were discussing.
She turned to the corner of the room and saw two baby cradles in the room. She was sure the babies were in it.
“Hey, Lydia. Congratulations ” Lisa said as she dropped the shopping bags on the ground and walked past Tessa, going to sit beside Lydia.
“Hi” Lydia managed to say as she was still looking exhausted.
“How was it? I hope you’re feeling better now?” Lisa asked, looking as caring as ever.
Lydia felt touched and her heart melted. The girl Lisa seems to be very kind-hearted. She might not be a threat to Tessa as she thinks. She quickly shook off the thoughts. She shouldn’t let herself fall for these little tactics.
“I’m fine. At least recovering” Lydia said
“Well, I went shopping for you and the babies. I got you guys some things” Lisa said and stood up and was about to walk past Tessa to go bring the shopping bag when Tessa set her leg on the road and Lisa who wasn’t looking missed her leg and was about to fall on her stomach to the ground but luckily Dina who had noticed in time was fast to hold her.
“Are you alright Lisa?” Dina asked as she helped her stand properly.
“Yes I’m fine, ” she said and they both turned to Tessa.
“Why would you do that? Do you want to harm her and her baby? Can’t you see she’s pregnant? Are you this heartless?” Dina said, almost yelling.
” Oh please shut up! And stop acting like her protector” Tessa said and stood up
“Say that again and you’ll see your ass on the ground in the next 2 seconds, ” Dina said as she moved toward Tessa.
“It’s okay Dina,” Lisa said and held Dina.
“No, Lisa it’s not. What if you had fallen to the ground on your stomach? Do you know that is almost a death sentence?” Dina said, still shocked by what Tessa did.
“I know. It’s alright” Lisa swallowed hard trying to calm Dina.
“And when will you stop pretending that you’re kind-hearted? Deceiving people when you know you’re just a whore hiding behind Daniel’s shells” Tess said in a mocking tone and Lisa stared at her without saying a word. She turned to Lydia and smiled at her.
“Let’s go, Dina, ” Lisa said and just as she was about to leave Tessa dragged her hand and Lisa did the unexpected by giving her a resounding slap on her face.
