Chapter 77
“She just prays and hopes Lydia and her baby will be fine”
After an hour and some minutes, the doctor came out looking exhausted.
“Congratulations Mrs. Tessa. It was a successful surgery. She’s given birth to twins. A girl and a boy” the doctor said and Lisa screamed happily.
All eyes were on her. Daniel smiled at her and held her hands.
Tessa gave out a breath of relief “thank goodness she’s okay. When can she see her?” Tessa asked
“She’ll be transferred to a private ward. You can see her then ” the doctor said and they all nodded.
“Thank you, doctor, ” Mrs. Bella said and the doctor left.
Just then Lydia’s husband ran inside the hospital looking so sweaty and breathing heavily.
“Mark where have you been?” Tessa asked almost looking angry
“We will talk about that later. But first where is Lydia and my child” he said
“Calm down Mr mark. They’re all fine ” Mrs. Bella said smiling
“Congratulations, she has twins,” Daniel said and shook hands with him.
“A girl and a boy” Tessa rolled her eyes. She felt so angry at mark. She was going to deal with him later.
“Lisa she’s alright now, you should go home with Daniel and rest. You can come back tomorrow morning to say hi to Lydia and her babies” Mrs. Bella said and Lisa nodded.
“Bye, ma’am. Bye Tessa. See you in the morning ” Lisa said and with that, he walked out of the hospital with Daniel by his side.
They both hopped into the car and Went home.
After they got home, Lisa was feeling so tired. She had dinner in her room, took her bath, and wore her night dress.
She lay tiredly on the bed and began to imagine what hers will be like on that day. She just hopes pushing the baby out will be easier.

Next Morning
Lisa had woken up so early today. She took her bath and wore her clothes. She went to the kitchen and ate. She was feeling so hungry. She had eaten a lot of food that she almost finished but then she ran. Daniel was going to eat at work this morning.
She decided to serve him food at the dining table. Daniel was a little surprised, but he felt so happy and he ate the food in happiness.
“You’ll be going shopping this evening for the birthday party that’s in two days,” Daniel said when he was done eating.
“Oh! But I have some new dresses I haven’t worn yet” Lisa said
“I know. Here’s your card. I put some money in it, you can use it to do the shopping. I won’t be coming with you today, you can call one of your friends maybe Martha” Daniel said
“No, Dina will do,” she said and Daniel nodded his head. He stood up from the chair and carried his briefcase.
“If you wish to go see Lydia, just ask the driver to take you there,” Daniel said and Lisa nodded.
“I’m off to work. Take care of yourself please ” he said and pecked Lisa lightly on her forehead before walking out of the house.
After Daniel left, Lisa ate for some more minutes. When she was done she cleared the dining table and went upstairs to her room.
She lay on the bed and was about to sleep when a call came in on her phone. It was Dina.
“Hey, ” Lisa coed as she answered the call
“What’s up with that voice? You sound tired ” Dina asked
“I was just about to sleep, ” Lisa said
“Oooops, I’m so sorry. I’ll call you later then,” Dina said
“No no, it’s fine. I was planning on calling you earlier so we could go shopping together” Lisa said
“Oh really,” Dina asked
“Yeah,” Lisa said
“I would love to go but Clara’s nanny is not around so I’m the one looking after her for the now,” Dina said
“That’s not a problem you can bring her along. Besides, I would love to spend some quality time with her” Lisa said and Dina smiled.
“I’ll go get dressed now,” Dina said
“I’ll text you the location of the house, ” Lisa said and ended the call.
After An hour
Lisa heard a knock on the door. She was already dressed up and was almost asleep when a knock came in.
She opened the door and the first person she saw was Clara.
“Aunty!!” Clara yelled and jumped on Lisa.
“Careful Clara, she’s pregnant, ” Dina said from behind.
“Oh, my baby. I missed you ” Lisa said and carried Clara in her arms.
“Hey, Dina. I thought you wouldn’t come” Lisa said smiling
“Why wouldn’t I?” She said as she walked inside Lisa’s room.
“Wow Lisa, your room is so beautiful and big. Everywhere in this house is magnificent ” Dina said and collapsed on the bed making Lisa giggle.
Lisa sat on the bed and Dina sat properly too.
“Clara go play with ma’am Lois downstairs. She’ll take you to the toy room” Lisa said
“Yes auntie,” Clara said and ran out of the room.
“The woman that opened the door, is she a relative?” Dina asked, sitting properly on the bed.
“Oh, ma’am Lois. No. But she’s like a mother to Daniel and equally like a mom to me too” Lisa said
“She seems very nice,” Dina said
“Yes, she is,” Lisa said
“You made mention of a toy room in this house? Is there any baby I haven’t seen or heard of?” Dina asked as she placed her hands akimbo
” Of course not. Daniel designed the room for my unborn baby ” Lisa said
“Woah!! Your baby is really lucky to have a father like him and you’re lucky too. Daniel is a nice guy” Dina said, smiling Making Lisa chuckle.
“You know I haven’t seen Daniel with any girl except Tessa who we thought was his girlfriend or rather a fiancée but suddenly out of the blue, we just saw a pregnant woman living with Daniel.
Woah!! Isn’t that surprising” Dina And Lisa burst into laughter
“Common Lisa, tell me how you guys met and how long has this relationship of yours been going through?” Dina asked and Lisa swallowed hard
“Was it a contraction relationship that you guys decided to keep a secret or did you guys have a one-night stand when you got pregnant and he took you in? Which of these? Common tell me” Dina said smiling
