Chapter 59
“Oh good lord!! I hope you haven’t slept with Daniel too” Tessa said
“Nah!! I know you’re into him so I wouldn’t dare” Lydia said smiling And Tessa gave out a breath of relief.
“Stop acting like you’re a virgin,” Lydia said and Tessa gave her a deadly glare.
“Just shut up already,” Tessa says and Lydia rolled her eyes and stood up from the chair she was sitting on.
She picked up the remote and switched on the tv.
“I think it’s high time you paid a visit to your future mother-in-law, Mrs. Bella,” Lydia said and Tessa smiled. Even though Lydia was a spoilt brat and a fucking whore, she’s damn lucky to have a badass friend like her.
“Was planning on seeing her today but I need to go shopping for her and little Nova,” Tessa said and Lydia smiled at her.
“Let’s go shopping together then. I’ll go change my dress” Lydia said and stood up then ran upstairs to her room.

After shopping, Lydia had gone home to rest since she was feeling very tired and Tessa had gone to Mrs. Bella’s house with the things she got.
Immediately after Tessa got to Mrs. Bella’s house, Nova, was very happy because her aunt Tessa had shopped for so many toys and candies for her. She was so happy, this made Mrs. Bella’s heart melt. She loves nova so much and seeing her happy is one thing she could have asked for in this life.
“You shouldn’t have passed through this stress to get these” Mrs. Bella said as she held Tessa’s hands and they both walked inside the kitchen. It was evening already and Mrs. Bella was about to prepare dinner before Tessa came and Tessa decided to give a helping hand.
“I’ll do anything for nova. You remember the day you gave birth to her, how happy I and Daniel was” Tessa said and Mrs. Bella smiled
“Yes, I remember when the both of you went right behind my back to carry nova so you guys can play in the garden ” Mrs. Bella laughed as she picked some carrots from the fridge and washed them.
“And how I acted like the mother and Daniel the father. Oh Good lord!! I love it way back when everything was going so smooth and well between me and Daniel not now” Tessa said and sniffed
Mrs. Bella stared at her with pity in her eyes, she has always loved Tessa and always wanted her to be together with her son but it seems Daniel had always had plans on his own but she on the other hand is not going to let anything ruin the relationship between Tessa and Daniel.
“Is it about the pregnant lady? Common Tessa, you should be less worried about her, I have got a plan to get rid of her but I need you to help me with it” Mrs. Bella said as she chopped the carrots while Tessa placed a pot filled with water on the gas cooker.
“Really? Then what’s the plan?” Tessa asked and Mrs. Bella smiled at her.

It was evening already and the company was supposed to be closed already but Daniel had held a meeting with the staff.
There was this project the company is supposed to work on and a group of people is to be assigned together. The groups that come out with the best project will be rewarded and not just they all will be promoted.
Daniel assigned Lisa, Martha, Dina, Derek, Julia, and Joy together as a group, then gave them the project they were to work on. And they were to present it in three days.
Lisa felt kind of happy, she had always wanted an opportunity to speak with Dina and made friends with her. Although she was addressed as a loner and a sadist, Lisa felt there was more to her being that way.
It was late and they needed to go home so, to talk about the project, Lisa had asked Martha to take all of their contacts and add them to a zoom app so they could talk tonight which Martha did.
After that, they all went home. As usual Daniel and Lisa had gone home together in Daniel’s car. After they got home, they took their bath and ate dinner then each of them went to their respective rooms to sleep.
But then Lisa didn’t go to bed. She switched on her system and Martha put them all on video call as they talked and laughed. Lisa then noticed something about Dina that all these times they were talking, she had refused to say a word but just kept smiling at them, immediately she said she wanted to sleep and that she needed to rest and she went off.
“I told you it was a bad idea. She’s a loner. I bet she hates this group’s stuff” Derek said and Martha told him to keep shut and he rolled his eyes at him.
Meanwhile, Lisa kept quiet all this while. She felt Dina wasn’t just a loner. There was more because she could sense a part of crying out for help.

Meanwhile, as Dina ended the call the door to her room burst open revealing her angry and drunk husband, Charles.
“Where’s the money I asked you for last night?” Charles said as he walked towards Dina who had now stood up from the chair she was sitting on and made her way to the corner of the room.
“They haven’t paid us our salary yet, they gonna pay by next weekend, ” Dina said shivering In fear
“And you expect me to wait till next week. I swear Dina if I don’t get the money by tomorrow, I’ll kill you and your daughter, Clara.” Charles threatened.
Dina felt weak at the mention of her daughter. She loved her daughter so much and wouldn’t want any harm to come her way.
“Mommy” she heard her daughter calling as she walked inside the room. Tears slid down Dina’s eyes as she saw her daughter whose side of her face was burned. Charles had done that to Clara because Dina had refused to give him her salary.
“I’ll give you the money tomorrow evening, ” Dina said and Charles scoffed.
“You better do,” he said and walked out of the room pushing Clara out of the way and making her fall to the ground.
“Clara” Dina called as she walked towards her daughter who was in tears and hugged her tightly.
“Everything is going to be a fine baby” Dina consoled as she gave her daughter a warm hug.
