She knows Lisa is so innocent and pure from the few times she’s spent with her but she needs to be careful because she’s making enemies for herself without knowing, thereby putting her life and that of her baby in danger, I hope she can see that.
Tessa entered her car and drove straight to her friend’s house, Lydia.
“Hey” Lydia who was eating snacks called out to Tessa as she walked in looking angry and sad at the same time.
“What’s wrong with you? ” Lydia asked she shoved the snacks to her side, paying her full attention to Tessa.
“You were right Lydia. Daniel impregnated a girl” Tessa said as she felt sadness sweep over her. She couldn’t believe it.
“I thought I still had chances with him. I thought maybe I’ll be able to win his heart over and stay by his side but now everything is ruined. I can’t believe Daniel would do this to me” Tessa said as her eyes became teary. She felt hurt.
Imagining loving someone for more than 10 years, knowing deep down they only see you as nothing more than friends but yet you kept your hopes high that one day, he’s going to feel the same way you feel for him even though you know deep down it’s never going to happen but you keep getting your hopes high. It hurts so much.
He’s rejected so many guys and so many proposals from guys who loved her and were ready to marry her and keep her happy, just because of how much he loves daniel.
Lydia sighed as she understood how her friend was feeling at that moment. He hates to see her this way, Tessa had helped her a lot through this period, maybe it’s her turn to help her in return.
“Hey Tess calm down, let’s think of something, ” Lydia said and Tessa shook her head.
“No, there’s no hope. I’m doomed” Tessa said and Lisa smiled
“You just gonna give up on him like that? I thought you loved him very much” Lydia said and Tessa turned to her.
“What do you want me to do? Kill her? Then drug Daniel, sleep with him, and act pregnant then he marries me. I’m not even sure he feels the same way for me. This is not some novel or movie or fantasy Lydia. It’s real life and there’s nothing I can do about it” Tessa said as more tears slipped down her cheeks.
“Okay you just gonna sit here and cry all day,” Lydia said but Tessa paid no attention to her as she was drowning in her pains.
“Common, Tess. What if Daniel isn’t the father of the child? Remember months ago Daniel was all alone, everything going smoothly but then out of the blue after he came back from a business trip, he started acting weird and now he has a pregnant woman with him” Lydia said and Tessa turned to her.
“What are you trying to say?” Tessa asked
“Try to solve the mathematics here and see what I’m talking about. Daniel might not be the owner of the pregnancy. What if there’s another story behind all this?” Lydia said and Tessa stared at her for some seconds without saying a word to her.
“What if you’re wrong? What if he’s the father?” Tessa said
“And what if I’m right?” Lydia said and Tessa sighed
“There’s only one way to find out then,” Lydia said.
“His assistant, Williams ?” Tessa said
“Yes, your brain is on it. He goes with him anywhere and I’m sure he knows everything. So we’re gonna find out the truth from him” Lydia said and Tessa scoffed.
“How? That guy is too dedicated to Daniel. No matter what he wouldn’t tell us anything, I know him. Have tried asking him a few questions in the past but he never answered. I hate him” Tessa said and Lydia laughed.
“Maybe you didn’t try harder,” Lydia said staring at Tessa smiling
“Of course I did but…..” Tessa paused as she noticed the look Lydia was giving her and she understood immediately.
“What??? I’m not doing that. No way. I’m not seducing him, never” Tessa said and frowned.
“You know if not for the fact I’m heavily pregnant I would have done it myself, ” Lydia said and Tessa stared at her weirdly.
“You’re crazy Lydia. You should be in an asylum. Pregnant asshole ” Tessa said and Lydia chuckled
“I’ll take that as a compliment,” Lydia said smiling
“Whatever, I can’t seduce Williams,” Tessa said
“Then you’re not ready. You can’t even seduce a man and yet you cry over a man. You have known Daniel for years and you couldn’t make him love you as a woman, but yet a girl that just came into his life had just won his heart and took him all to herself ” Lydia said in a mocking tone. Tessa knows what she was trying to do. She’s trying to make her angry and her words are getting to her.
“Use what you have to get what you want. You’re a woman, you have all it takes to trap Daniel between your fingers, you just have to make use of what you have the right way” Lydia said.
“So what do you want me to do?” Tessa asked
“Seduce Williams, find out the truth and get rid of that girl once and for all” Lydia said
“How do I even start? Where do I see Liam to seduce?” Tessa said
“I have his contact, I’ll set you guys up, ” Lydia said
“How did you get his number? Have you guys??” Tessa opened her eyes in shock
“Oh my goodness!! Lydia, how many guys have you fucked?” Tessa asked
“It was just once. He isn’t even that good in bed” Lydia said and took her snacks and continued eating.
“Oh good lord!! I hope you haven’t slept with Daniel too” Tessa said
“Nah!! I know you’re into him so I wouldn’t dare” Lydia said smiling And Tessa gave out a breath of relief.
