Chapter 47
Lisa is seen lying on the bed whispering in her sleep, beads of sweat rolling off her forehead.
“Please let me go”
“Mommy!! Please save my mummy. You’re your fathers daughter, my slave my property!!! She’s pregnant!! No this can’t be happening. I’ll find you Lisa!! You think you can run from me!! No!!!” Lisa yelled and woke up from her sleep, shivering in fear.
“Hey , Are you alright? I heard you screaming” Daniel called as he held Lisa who was now shivering in fear with tears in her eyes.
“He said he’s going to find me, he’s going to come for me” Lisa said in tears and Daniel hugged her.
“Shh!! No one will come for you. I’ll protect you” Daniel said, patting her back gently and not quite long she drifted back to sleep.
Daniel helped her lay properly on the bed and covered her with the duvet. He sighed as he stood up to leave the room only to see ma’am Lois standing in the room.
“You should be sleeping ” Daniel said
“I know. Her screams woke me, I came to check if she’s alright ” ma’am Lois said and Daniel nodded.
“What happened to Daniel? She’s traumatized. Whatever happened to her is haunting her” ma’am Lois said Daniel sighed.
“She’s been through alot. Her mother was killed, she was sold by her uncle, turned into a sex slave and all” Daniel said and ma’am Lois opened his mouth in shock.
“Oh , poor thing! I hope she recovers from this soon” ma’am Lois said and stared at Lisa with pity in her eyes.
“I hope so too” Daniel said, almost lost in thought but quickly shook off whatever thoughts that were about taking over him.
“I’m going back to sleep. I have work tomorrow, you should do the same” Daniel said and with that he walked out of the room.
–Next Day–
Daniel had woken up so early in the morning and gotten ready for work. He had plans of visiting his mother who had been calling her before going to work.
“Won’t you eat breakfast before going to work?” Ma’am Lois who saw Daniel climbing off the stairs asked.
“No, Good morning. I’ll eat at mom’s place.
please take care of Lisa and call me if she needs anything ” Daniel said and pecked her on her cheeks before walking out of the house.
“Good morning sir” his PA Williams who has been outside standing close to his car waiting for him bowed his head and Daniel hummed.
Williams hopped into the car and started the engine with Mr Daniel sitting at the back.
“Mom’s house” Daniel said and Williams nodded in response and rode the car out of the compound.

The car screeched to halt in front of Mrs Bella’s mansion and immediately Daniel came out of the car, his younger sister Nova, jumped on him. Nova is just a 5yr old child and the only daughter of her mother and the only sister Daniel has.
He loves nova to the call and he doesn’t joke with her.
“Big bro, I missed you” Nova whines like a baby as she hugged him tight.
“Nova, I missed you too” Daniel chuckled as he pulled her away from the hug and carried her in his arms.
“Woah!! Nova you’ve put on so much weight. What did mom feed you with while I was away” Daniel asked as he walked inside the mansion with Nova in his arms.
“Just the normal food I do eat before you travel,” nova giggled happily.
“Where’s mom?” Daniel asked as he drop nova on the ground.
“I’m over here” Mrs Bella said and Daniel raised up his head and there he saw his mom climbing down the stairs.
“Mom” Daniel called and moved towards her to hug her but she stopped him from hugging her. She hissed and walked past him. Daniel sighed softly and turned to nova.
“Nova, go to your room and get dressed, we are going shopping today” Daniel said and nova yelled.
“Yeah I love you big bro” she said and ran to her room.
“Mom” Daniel called and turned to his mom who was backing him.
“I swear I’m sorry, I was caught up with an emergency that’s why I couldn’t answer any of your calls” Daniel said and hugged his mom from behind.
His mom made her baby face as usual and turned to Daniel.
” you should have at least dropped a message for me” his mom said
“I’m sorry, I promise it won’t happen again ” he said to his mom and she smiled
“You’ll make it up to me” his mom said and he nodded in response.
“I’ll take you out for shopping ” Daniel said and suddenly heard his phone ring. It was a call from the office.
“After work, I promise to take you out, I need to get to the office now, love you mom.” he said as he pecked his mom on her cheeks and ran out of the house.
“Daniel! I missed you ” his mom said in a low tone and sighed softly.
After the death of her husband , Daniel and Nova has been her only source of hope and joy. They gave her reasons to leave and he loves her children so much, especially Daniel. As he reminds her so much of his father.
He loves his son so much that he could kill anybody that stands in between her and her son. She does not care who the person is.
“Mummy, where’s big bro?” Nova, who has wore her favorite dress, asked as she climbed down the stairs like a princess that she is.
Her mom smiled as she stared at her beautiful angel. Nova reminds her so much of herself when she Was little.
“He’s gone to the office. He’ll be back later in the day to take the both of us out for shopping ” Mrs Bella said as she carried nova and she nodded.
“Common, let’s go have our breakfast before it gets cold”
