Logan’s POV.
“Come on, father? Are you being serious right now? Silent now?” I shrugged as I raised my eyebrows as he kept staring at me.
“And what do you want to hear? You expect me to sit down back there and do what? Talk about the faction? Or how the faction even came to be? Oh, come on, Logan!” He shrugged as he looked at me.
“I just want to know, father. I just want to know what he meant by the committee of six. You know, father, you do!!” I scowled as I looked at him.
I saw him refrain at how precise I was the
moment I mentioned the committee of six.
“Things were more different than now, son. And right now, it no longer makes any sense!!” He snapped as he raised his eyebrows.
“We have different factions and our faction is just the founding families, because we were the first six werewolf families that inhabited New Kingston and then, we went by that name but if another faction infiltrates our faction and become in charge of the committee of six, then we will only be powerless and not even our name as a faction will matter again.” I explained everything to him as I kept on staring right into his eyes.
But then, all I got again was his silence. He was never going to tell him.
“You know how stubborn I can be, father?” I threatened as I looked at him. “So, why don’t you just tell me about the faction before I get to know about it from elsewhere?” I scowled as I frowned.
“You will only get yourself killed.” He said in a husky voice as he looked at me. “Go ahead. Go on with it, Logan.” He sneered.
“But…” He snapped as he walked close enough. “But when you do, you better know the founding families won’t get involved.” He rolled his eyes.
“We already have a whole lot going on and first thing first, Logan.” He snapped as he rolled his eyes.
“So be it then, father!!” I frowned, not giving up yet. “And when I die, what next? You know your lineage dies with me. Shouldn’t I be your major concern, father?” I sneered as I rolled my eyes.
“Yes, he knew about it, fine! But then, that was the only thing he knew. He knew there was something like the faction but then, he didn’t know how it operated.” He snapped, finally giving in.
I knew he couldn’t stand losing me because I was all he had now. And I knew how badly he wanted our family on top of the food chain.
“Then how come Peterson knows so much about the faction? He knows that the founding werewolves’ families happen to be just a faction, the red and black symbol and also, if another faction infiltrates our faction, they automatically become the ones to spearhead the werewolves’ committee of six powerful werewolf families.” I scowled as I stared at him.
“Can we not do this now?” He slammed angrily this time around. “I gave you BOECH to control. I allowed you to bring in a personal secretary outside our faction. I still get to make the orders because I am still the Alpha!!” He growled this time around, placing so much emphasis on the “Alpha.”
I remained quiet as I looked at him. He refrained as he looked away. “You should go to bed, son!!” He muttered as he wore a broad smile this time around.
“Everyone is currently stressed out and I think we all need a rest. Tomorrow will be a long day and throughout this week, we will have a lot of things to get done.”
He muttered with a broad smile on his face as he stared at me.
I remained quiet as I kept staring at him. I felt my heart pounding really fast and my veins pumping blood so fast.
He raised his eyebrows as he looked at me. “Say something at least, Logan!! Go ahead, break something, destroy anything. I know you, son, you are as impulsive as I am.” He scowled as he looked at me.
He used his werewolf speed as he grabbed a flower vase from the cabinet that stood close to my bed as he stretched out his hand, handing it over to me.
“Go on, Logan, go on. Break it, son!!” He said.
“I am okay!!” I snapped as I wore a straight face.
There was absolutely no way I was going to let him get into me.
He refrained finally, giving up after finding out that I wasn’t going to give in.
“Fine then.” He mentioned as he looked at me before returning the vase on the cabinet as he walked out, leaving me in the room to myself.
“Argh! Darn it!!” I cursed angrily the moment he stepped out.
I picked up the flower vase from the cabinet as I smashed it on the wall angrily.
“Darn it!!” I cursed again in a louder tone.
And without wasting a minute, I used my hands to break the wooden table at the edge of my room that had my laptop on it as well as my journal and novel that I have been reading.
I picked up my laptop as I smashed it on the wall multiple times, destroying it completely before letting go.
In rage I walked out of my room as I walked into Liam’s room that has been shut for months now.
“I see you are here. Don’t you ever give up? Always the favorite!!” I cursed as I pushed my hand underneath his bed as I pushed it away, throwing the bed away, upside down as I growled.
I grabbed his frame that hung up on the wall as I smashed it on my raised, right knee.
“You are dead, so… Fucking… Remain… Dead, for crying out loud!!” I cursed this time around, placing so much emphasis on every single curse word.
