“Don’t touch me!” she spat, her voice trembling. “You want me to use you? Like how you used me? How do you expect me to do that? I’m not disgusting like you. I’d rather kill you. I’d rather make you die.”
I had never meant to hurt her so deeply. I stared at Allison, shocked by the venom in her voice. Her words cut deep, and I felt a pang of regret. She just stood tall, her eyes blazing with anger and hurt. I took a step forward, but she pushed me away.
“Allison, please…” I whispered, trying to calm her down. “Don’t say that. I never meant to do any of that to you.”
But then, here I am, still wondering and confused on how she learned the truth, but that should really be the least of my problems now, right?
“But you did…” she cried, hitting my chest with both hands. “You made me look like a fool. You just wanted me because of her. You never wanted the real Allison. Instead, you wanted…”
But she couldn’t continue. Her voice trailed off, and she burst into sobs. I tried to hug her, to comfort her, but she pushed me away again.
“Leave now,” she whispered, her eyes red and puffy.
I hesitated, unsure of what to do. But then I nodded, realizing that I needed to give her space.
As I turned to leave, Allison’s words stopped me cold. “I did all those things because of your father,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
I turned back to her, confusion etched on my face. “What are you talking about, Allison? What do you mean you did things because of my father?”
I took a step closer, my eyes locked on hers. “Explain, please. I don’t understand.”
“Why don’t you ask those fake family of ours,” she snarled, going back to bed and turning to the other side, away from me.
“They’re equally the cause of my misery right now.” Were the last words she uttered before there was silence.
I stepped out of the hospital room, my eyes fixed on the door as if willing it to open again. I wanted to stay with Allison, to comfort her, but she’d made it clear she didn’t want me around. With a heavy sigh, I turned and walked down the passageway.
As I approached the waiting area, I saw Allison’s mom, Liz, slumped on a bench, her head in her hands, sobbing uncontrollably. Sally sat on the opposite side, her eyes glazed over, her expression vacant. My dad stood beside Liz, attempting to calm her down.
“What am I going to do?” She wailed, her voice shaking. “I regret this so much. I wish I could turn back the hands of time.”
My eyes narrowed as I approached the group. “What the fuck is going on?” I demanded, my voice low and urgent. “What is Allison telling me? She says you all have a hand in whatever is going on in her life right now? What is going on? Can you all please explain?”
Sally stood up, her eyes locking onto mine. She began signing in rapid, precise movements, her expression serious. “I will explain everything you need to know,” she signed.
My eyes never left Sally’s face, my mind racing with questions and doubts. What secrets had been hidden from me? What had really happened to Allison?
Sally’s hands moved swiftly as she signed, her eyes locked on mine. I felt like I’d been punched in the gut, my mind reeling from the secrets she was revealing.
“While you were in Spain, your father got sick,” she signed. “He was very ill, and we spent a lot of money on his treatment. But eventually, we ran out of money. There wasn’t even enough for us to continue our education.”
I felt a wave of nausea wash over me as Sally continued.
“Our mom had no choice but to consider an idea her friend had suggested. She made Allison become an OnlyFans creator, making adult content. Allison was initially hesitant, but she agreed to do it for a short period to help our family financially.”
Sally’s hands paused, and she took a deep breath before continuing.
“But things escalated quickly. Our mom brought in more… explicit content, and Allison was overwhelmed. Even when our father recovered, our mom was too greedy to stop. She pushed Allison to continue, despite her protests. At last, she was depressed, suicidal, and even self-harmed on different occasions. The only reason our mom stopped was when Allison got into the accident and lost her memories.”
I felt like I was going to vomit. How could Liz do this to Allison? How could she be so cruel and heartless?
Sally’s hands dropped, and she looked at me with tears in her eyes.
“Mom was relieved when Allison lost her memories. She’s been trying to keep the truth from her ever since, and she also wanted it to be deeply buried and never remembered, so she wanted to get a therapist for her, which didn’t work in the end.”
I stood there, frozen in silence, my mind struggling to comprehend the horrors Sally had just revealed. The room seemed to fade away, leaving only the echoes of Allison’s suffering. I felt like I’d been punched twice, no, thrice in the gut, my breath knocked out of me.
Finally, I managed to stammer out a question, my voice shaking when something sensible clicked in my stressed and jumbled mind.
“P-please tell me… her username isn’t… Sweetest Bunny?” I felt like I was trembling all over, my fingers vibrating as I grasped the sides of my pants to steady myself.
Sally’s eyes widened, and Liz stood up, her eyes narrowing as she walked closer to me. “How do you know that?” she asked, her voice low and menacing. “How do you know her username is Sweetest Bunny on the adult site?”
Fuck! No, I’m the one fucked. I fucking fucked up…
