Kevin’s POV
Alcohol corroded my reason, and James’ face turned into Luke’s in my eyes, and then I crazily beat him. However, when Beta Liam appeared and tightly grabbed my wrist, I felt the flames of anger burning even stronger in my heart. I punched Liam in the face with dissatisfaction, and he immediately covered the injured area, but didn’t let go of me.
“Damn it! Liam, stop meddling, ” I roared.
“Alpha, calm down!” Liam’s voice carried a hint of helplessness and understanding.
“Let go of me.” I commanded him with Alpha’s authority, he was hesitant, and the werewolves in the club cast surprised glances, which intensified the manic emotions within me.
“If you damn well keep looking, I’ll gouge your eyes out!” I snarled viciously.
Everyone instantly averted their gaze, then quickly stepped back, I could feel their fear, but I had lost control by now.
Liam struggled to hold me, trying to calm me down. “Alpha, listen to me, I understand you, but you can’t vent like this. Ella doesn’t know about your situation here.”
My body was still trembling, alcohol making my eyes bloodshot, I felt like a beast trapped in the forest, my breath eerie and terrifying.
“James is Elder George’s son, if you kill him, it will cause trouble. It’s not worth delaying your time to find Ella for this trash.” Liam reminded.
Finally, I made an effort to regain my sanity and lowered my fists. Just then, a familiar figure hugged me from behind, it was Liam’s sister, Maya.
“Kevin! Long time no see!” Maya said coquettishly, looking at me worriedly, “What’s wrong with you? Why are you so angry?”
I just coldly gestured for her to let go, Maya sensed something was wrong with me and looked to her brother Liam for guidance. Liam gently shook his head, reminding her not to provoke me.
Understanding, Maya gently stroked my back, trying to soothe my emotions. She hugged my waist and whispered softly, “Kevin, you smell strongly of alcohol, looks like you’ve had a lot to drink. Come, let’s go to the hotel.”
Liam apologized to the club owner and gave him 500, 000 to settle the matter. They scolded the onlookers around them, dispersing them.
I followed Maya out of the club, my mind still in turmoil.
Opening the door to Room 768, Maya threw me onto the bed. I squinted my eyes groggily, watching her take off her red fur coat, revealing her smooth fragrant shoulders. She chuckled softly, spreading her legs boldly as she used to, on either side of my body.
“Kevin, can you tell me what’s bothering you so much tonight?” She bent down and licked my ear.
I just stared at her, not saying anything. Since the age of 19, Maya had been my longest bed companion. She was adept at flirting with men, knowing when to advance and when to retreat. I used to enjoy sex with her. But now, faced with her invitation, my heart remained unmoved.
“Kevin, do you know?” Her voice was soft and enticing, “You’re really handsome, no male wolf can captivate me like you do.”
Then she swayed her hips, took off the thin black spaghetti strap dress, removed her bra, revealing her full breasts. As she took my hand and guided it to her nipples, she shivered with pleasure, emitting soft moans. I looked at her with a complex gaze; she was the most outstanding female warrior of the Blood Moon Clan and once my most satisfied Luna candidate. But now, I had found Ella, and I couldn’t send her the wrong signals anymore.
“Kevin, it’s been almost half a year since we had sex. I miss you so much. Tonight, please enjoy me thoroughly.” She interrupted me, inviting me with affectionate fox-like eyes.
“Maya, I’m sorry, I’m not in the mood for sex right now.” I turned my tired head away; all I could think of was Ella’s face. If the she-wolf sitting on me right now was her, it would be perfect.
“Why? Kevin, the first night you came back from a business trip, we always spent it together.” Maya’s eyes filled with disappointment. “Do you have another new woman again?”
I was too tired to talk to her anymore. “Maya, leave, now.”
“No, I don’t want to.” She tried to act cute, twisting her waist.
Then she wrapped her arms around my neck, leaned down, and kissed my lips. I frowned in annoyance, and when I tried to push her away, she bit my lip and slipped her tongue into my mouth.
“Maya, don’t defy the Alpha, leave now.”
Suddenly Liam’s voice came from behind. Maya hadn’t snapped out of it yet when Liam had already lifted her off the bed.
“Bro!” Maya angrily stared at Liam, covering her exposed chest. Liam sighed and expressionlessly draped his jacket over her, giving her a warning glare.
Then he bowed respectfully to me. “I’m sorry, Alpha, please rest well.”
Liam knew me well. Under my gaze, he quickly dragged the disgruntled Maya out of the room and closed the door.
The room fell silent, and with the numbness from the alcohol in my brain, sleepiness washed over me, and I closed my eyelids.
The moment my consciousness floated, what came to my mind was the back of Ella carrying a bamboo basket.
