Kevin’s POV
I swiftly transformed into a brown wolf, baring my teeth fiercely at Luke and the five blue wolves.
I knew exactly what Luke was up to. He just wanted me to sever my mate bond with Ella so he could take her for himself.
Damn blue-haired kid, so arrogant! Since he is looking for death, we will not be merciful this time!
Eric also roared angrily.
“Wolves, show the Blood Moon Pack’s Alpha the fighting power of our Blue Moon Pack,” Luke arrogantly commanded the blue wolves.
The blue wolves, as if trained, quickly split up and surrounded me. They were bulky and muscular, attacking swiftly and fiercely, but they were no match for me. I swung my front paw, sending one wolf that lunged at me flying ten meters away.
After witnessing my immense strength, the other four wolves hesitated briefly but soon launched a new round of attacks. In the midst of fighting two wolves, I realized my stamina was starting to decline. I was already exhausted.
“Come on, wolves, whoever can take him down, I’ll promote them to the rank of elite warrior,” Luke leisurely admired our fight.
My eyes turned icy. “Luke, is this how you treat guests in the Blue River Pack?”
“Alpha Kevin, my father agreed to cooperate with you, but that’s none of my concern,” Luke’s golden eyes gleamed with malice. “You embarrassed me twice, now it’s time for you to pay! Give me your mate, or die here.”
“You wish!” I gritted my teeth.
Then he ordered the blue wolves, “Break his legs!”
Four wolves charged at me, jaws open, trying to bite my wolf legs. I struggled to dodge, but one of the wolves managed to land a swipe on my hind leg, leaving a bloody gash. The pain jolted me awake instantly.
Damn it, Kevin, kill them!
Eric roared, though he was also very tired.
My eyes turned bloodshot. I bit down on the nearest wolf’s neck, snapping it and throwing him to the ground. The remaining three wolves looked at their breathless comrade, starting to feel afraid.
Damn Oscar’s son, so much for fair play. We just helped them seize the arms and dealt with the Rogues attacking them, yet they attack us and try to steal our mate.
Kevin, KILL THEM ALL!
Eric commanded, and I could feel its intense desire to kill.
As the alpha of the Blood Moon Pack, my wolf possessed a strong aura of slaughter, bloodthirsty and belligerent, easily provoked. When I was very young, my consciousness was almost controlled by it, which is why my father trained me so rigorously. He didn’t want me to be controlled by Eric.
It had been a long time since I felt its murderous intent so strongly. Clearly, it was truly angered by Luke. I hated Luke, but I accepted its desire.
I quickly snapped the heads off the remaining three wolves, then walked up to Luke with an indifferent expression. He stared at me incredulously, stepping back a few paces.
“Don’t come near me, monster!”
I stared him down, towering over him, then took a step forward, “Luke, I gave you a chance, but you always try to provoke me.”
“I, I’m sorry,” Luke tried to run, but he walked into a dead end, forced to turn around and beg for mercy, “Alpha Kevin, I’ll keep it secret, I won’t trouble you and Ella again.”
I ignored his pleas and the taste of wolf blood in my mouth was exhilarating and addictive. Then, I sank my teeth into one of his legs and forcefully tore it off.
“Ah!”
Luke screamed as his right leg was torn off by me.
I stared into his golden eyes, seeing my wolf face reflected in them, my eyes bloodshot, cold and dangerous, like Satan himself emerging from hell.
“Luke, if there’s a next time, I’ll send you to hell,” I said.
Then he passed out.
I turned back into a human, wiped the blood from my mouth with my hand, and casually walked past the fallen Luke and the five blue wolves.
The wound on my leg didn’t affect me much. I lifted my heavy eyelids, supported my exhausted body, and walked back to my room, hoping to see Ella again when I woke up. I missed her terribly.
Lying on the bed, I closed my eyes.
When I opened them again, it was already dark outside. I withdrew my gaze from the window and sat up.
“Alpha, you’re finally awake.”
Beta Liam’s voice came from the room. He was sitting on the couch, looking at me with a serious expression.
“What’s wrong, Liam?” I asked.
He furrowed his brows, pondering for a moment. “Alpha, did you have a confrontation with Luke at noon?”
“Yes, so what?” I replied.
“It’s getting tricky. You killed four male wolves from the Blue River Pack and dismembered Alpha Oscar’s favorite son. Alpha Oscar is furious now,” Liam said, somewhat troubled. “I think they’ll come looking for us soon.”
I stood up indifferently. “Let them come. I won’t back down.”
“But Alpha, this is Blue River Pack territory…” Liam paused when he saw the wound on my leg. “Alpha, you’re injured?”
“Let’s go to Alpha Oscar’s camp.”
“Wait, Alpha, what happened between you two?”
I didn’t answer his question. I always acted openly and boldly, and there was nothing in the Blue River Pack that intimidated me.
Moreover, Ella was staying here, and I had to ensure she wasn’t implicated or harmed.
When Liam and I arrived at Alpha Oscar’s camp, a dozen guards had gathered outside the gate. His Beta Aaron led us into the meeting room.
“Alpha, Alpha Kevin is here.”
“You’re the Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack? You thug, you crippled my son, I’ll make you pay!” screamed an elegantly dressed middle-aged woman.
Her sharp voice made me furrow my brows. I glanced at her; she should be Luna of the Blue River Pack, Alpha Oscar’s wife.
“Hello, Mrs. Willow,” I bowed emotionlessly.
Mrs. Willow snorted, her eyes filled with resentment as she glared at me.
Once I was seated, Alpha Oscar spoke, “Alpha Kevin, can you explain why you killed my werewolves and injured my son? I hope this is just a misunderstanding.”
Alpha Oscar’s tone carried the weight and oppression of a superior, but it didn’t make me flinch.
I sneered and recounted everything that happened today. “Alpha Oscar, first of all, I sincerely wanted to cooperate with the Blue River Pack. However, this afternoon, after the mission ended, your son blocked me halfway with your wolves. He tried to threaten me and claimed he wanted to take away my mate.”
“That’s impossible. My son is of noble birth and admired by many she-wolves since childhood. How could he do such a thing?” Mrs. Willow interrupted.
