Ella’s POV
After Kevin and Liam left, the lab became lively. Not only Lily, Holly, Sophie, but also Ada and Eva gathered around me, asking about Kevin.
“Anna, how did you meet Alpha Kevin? Why did he say he’s pursuing you? Don’t you like him?” Holly asked, with the other female wolves eagerly watching me.
“Well, uh…” I couldn’t tell them I’d known Kevin since I was five, so I had to fabricate a story. “About a month ago, at a bonfire party held by the Pack, I met Kevin. He claimed I was his mate, and later, he went to my grandmother’s clinic claiming to be a patient.”
“Oh, so he fell in love with you at first sight and started pursuing you after finding out you’re his mate,” Sophie said.
“Will you go live with the Blood Moon Pack in the future as their Luna? I heard the girls from their Pack are also very good at fighting,” Lily added.
“Have you two had sex?” Holly asked.
This question caught me off guard. She emphasized, “Anna, don’t try to hide it from us.”
Blushing, I shyly nodded, wondering if they would still treat me as a friend if they knew my true identity as someone from the Blood Moon Pack.
“Wow, Kevin must be very good in bed, right? His muscles look so strong; he must have great stamina,” Ada chimed in.
Lily, Sophie, and Eva blushed and shyly covered their faces, still curious and looking at me.
“I… I don’t know,” I stammered, my face flushing.
“Come on, Anna. We’re friends; you must have something to share with us, right?” Holly playfully poked my arm. “I heard the Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack is bloodthirsty and ruthless, but he’s so gentle with you. He must love you very much.”
I pushed her away. “Holly, please, spare me.”
“Girls, stop gossiping and get back to your work now,” Dr. Helena intervened, interrupting the female wolves’ gossip.
“Okay, Dr. Helena,” they grumbled, giving her a glance before returning to their workstations.
Holly’s workstation was behind me, so she often chatted by poking my back, as she did now.
She suddenly stared at me seriously, leaning in to sniff.
I reluctantly used my hand to push her approaching face away. “Holly, please focus on your work.”
Then she seemed to catch something and grinned like a fox. “Anna, I smell Alpha Kevin’s scent on you. He didn’t mark you, did he?”
I instantly remembered the scene of making love with Kevin, blushing and giving her a warning look.
Holly’s smile became even more suggestive. “Don’t worry; I’ll keep your secret.”
As everyone returned to their workstations to handle their tasks, I let out a sigh. Kevin’s advances caught me off guard, but I had to admit, his bold declaration of love made me waver. I started to wonder how much potential our future might hold.
Kevin’s POV
Since the last meeting with Ella, I’ve been busy with the business of cooperation between the Blood Moon Pack and the Blue River Pack. This week, I really wanted to go see her. I missed her so much. But as an Alpha, I must fulfill my duties.
We discovered a Rogue arms team in the East, and we ambushed them at their trading location. As expected, we seized hundreds of batches of weapons and captured more than 60 black wolves. With the support of Alpha Oscar, we successfully transferred them to the Blue River Pack’s stronghold.
With most of the situation resolved, the interrogation work was left to Beta Liam and Alpha Oscar. As I stepped out of the Blue River Pack Alpha meeting room again, it was already noon on the eighth day. I was exhausted, so I headed back to my room, planning to rest for the afternoon.
“Alpha Kevin, we meet again.”
A playful voice came from behind me, and I turned around to see Luke leaning against the wall, glaring at me with hostility.
I couldn’t be bothered with him.
“To be honest, I admire your methods. You managed to eliminate my father’s prejudices against you so quickly,” he continued.
“Blue-haired kid, if you’re here just to talk nonsense, you can leave now,” I ordered.
“Don’t be in such a hurry,” Luke stopped me. “Aren’t you curious about my relationship with your mate, Anna?”
“No, or should I say her name is Ella Moore.”
I frowned.
He knew Ella’s true identity.
To be honest, seven days of intense work had worn my patience thin to the extreme. I was barely restraining the urge to punch him.
“What’s your point?” My voice was full of warning.
“So now you’re willing to listen to me?” Luke walked up to me. “I discovered her identity, thanks to you, Alpha Kevin. Your real purpose in coming to the Blue River Pack is because of her, your former Beta, Ariana Moore’s daughter, right? ? Five years ago, Rogue attacked your Pack, killing Ariana Moore, and that day, the mute Omega Ella disappeared. Similar in age, both mute, I couldn’t help but associate them as the same person. When I sent my men to investigate, all the evidence confirmed my suspicions.”
Luke observed my reaction provocatively as he spoke.
I felt uneasy, worried he might seek revenge for this. I grabbed Luke by his collar.
“Luke, you know I have a thousand ways to deal with you. Don’t try to hurt her.”
“Whether I hurt her or not depends on your attitude.” Luke’s smile widened.
“What do you want?”
“To sever your mate bond with Ella. That way, I’ll keep the secret from all the Blue River Pack wolves, and she can stay here forever.”
“You wish!” I angrily punched Luke in the face. “Luke, you’re bold. No one has dared to threaten me, not even your father.”
He staggered back, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth. “But Ella is your weakness, and you’ll compromise for her. It’s time to teach you a lesson.”
Luke waved his hand, and five werewolves emerged from around the corner, instantly attacking me. The five Blue Wolves were agile; they must be the elites of the Blue River Pack.
I smirked disdainfully, my eyes filled with stormy rage and ruthlessness.
