My throat burned as the door was instantly pulled open standing there was no other person but Bianca. A frown and a look of disgust settled on her face as she stepped inside my room, glancing around like she entered inside a disgusting smelly pit.
“Good day, Miss……” Aria quickly bowed to her as an act of submissiveness. She is almost blocking me from her seeing me and at this moment I thanked the moon goddess for making the room dark because if not she could see me though I have returned to my normal self still I felt weak and too exhausted to deal with her right now.
“Where is that odorous being?” Ignoring her greetings, she asked.
“Excuse me, Miss…..”
“Is it that you are deaf or what?”
“Where is that malodorous creature?” Despite the darkness of the room, the anger on her face couldn’t be mistaken.
“I don’t know……” Aria replied, surprising me.
I thought that she was going to shift sideways or give me away but she shifted covering me more from the sight of that cruel being.
“But you are inside her room,” she said with doubt.
“Yes! I also came to look for her before you walked in,” Aria suddenly prevaricated, surprising me more.
“Why?”
“Margaret wanted her attention, so I came to look for her but so bad she wasn’t any way to be found,” she fabricated with boldness and solemnity.
“That rancid bastard!!” She cursed under her breath. “A total waste of space…..” She spits, her words hurt me and pang at my heart but I bite my lips to avoid any sob from escaping my lips because any noise will show that someone is there with them and that will land Aria into a problem since she had already denied seeing me.
“When you see that stinky creature, don’t forget to inform her that I require her presence in my chamber,”
“Not a minute should be wasted and failure to see me before dawn will result in a severe punishment,” she snarled the last word, scaring me.
“I will make sure to deliver the message to her as soon as possible,” Aria countered.
“Better…” she griped
I was shivering at the back of Aria, I sat at the exact spot with the fear of facing Bianca clouding my head. How do I visit that dreadful being? I know that the visitation wasn’t going to be a pleasant one.
“Remember to inform her or you will pay with your life,” she threatened. I felt Aria tremble at her words but she composed herself before muttering “Yes…..!” With difficulty and a scared voice.
“Fine,” she snapped before turning around to leave.
I mumbled a silent prayer before I tried to strengthen myself, to pull my legs from each other and keep them well when I felt something like a rat run all over me.
“Ahh!” I half screamed, and my eyes grew wide when it dawned on me that she was still in there. I bit my lips with my hand covering my mouth. I noticed Aria stilled as her eyes went wide in panic.
Halting at her spot, she veered around and started walking back with a drawled brow and narrowed eyes. “What was that noise and where is it coming from?” She asked suspiciously.
“Ahh!!” Aria cried out, scaring me. I thought that something happened to her. My heart broke as I thought that Bianca slapped her or did something bad to her. Trying to stand up, she used her left leg to stop me from making any move.
“What was that sound?” Bianca yelled.
“I…… I bit my fingers,” she lied with a teary voice. “Is painful…..” She forged hurt.
“Mtcheew!” Bianca hissed.
“I thought that it was something reasonable,” she sighed angrily.
“Ahh!!” Aria mimicked my voice, hers wasn’t that bad. It almost sounded the same, the two voices line together.
“Just shut up!!” She loudly exclaimed with irritation. “You are creating unnecessary sounds,” she snapped.
“But it is painful and……
” Shut the fuck up, you annoying shit,” she cursed before angrily stomping out of the place. Slamming the door forcefully on her way out.
“Ouch!!” Aria released her breath with her hands on her chest.
“That was close, you know,” I whispered.
“Yeah, more than close,” she replied with a wavering breath.
After her words followed by a silence, it was a pleasant one till she suddenly broke it with a word that took me unaware.
“You owe me a lot of explanations, Ashley,” she said.
“I owe you no explanation, Aria,” I retort with a blank expression.
“You do, Ashley…… firstly was king Ryan and now is the strange behavior,” she clueless uttered.
“I have no clue what you are talking about,” I lied with a pointed look.
“You do, Ashley……. King Ryan never for once apologized to anyone but he did to me today because of you,” she giggles drawing my attention.
“He was so possessive of you that at some point I started thinking that you two were a thing,”
“You know, you two fit each other……. So perfect, the way he held your hand like a fragile thing. He was so careful not to break it or leave any scratch on it, gosh!” She said with dreamy eyes with her hands placed under her jaw.
“He wasn’t possessive of anything, stop exaggerating things,” I rolled my eyes at her.
“I am not exaggerating anything, it was heaven seeing you and king Ryan……… it was as if you two were truly made for each other,” she muttered with a chuckle.
“Stop Aria, we are not made anything!!” I state.
“But you two seemed like a couple,” she states.
“We are not!” I glared
“So sad you two suit each other,” she laughed.
“Whatever……. Just stop it, Aria,” I grumbled with an irritated brow.
“Fine,” she whined.
“Better…..” I said.
“But can I ask you a question?” Her face turned serious, scaring me a bit but I pretended.
“What,” I grunted.
“The last time I remembered, you didn’t have any wolves,” she mumbled thoughtfully. My heart skipped a bit, I already knew where she was going. Is not like I wasn’t expecting her to say those things but I don’t think I am ready to tell her anything.
“But however…..” Looking at me, she continued. “When I entered your room, I felt a strong aura that at some point I stumbled…… I thought that a strong creature was inside your room, I got scared for you till I noticed that the aura was coming from you,” she swallowed.
“You looked scary with claws and sharp elongated teeth,”
“I think I shouldn’t have tapped your shoulder, but I wanted to be sure that it was you,” she said with gewgaw.
I swallowed nervously before looking away, I can’t tell her anything. I am scared that she will join the crowd and foul-mouth me, she seems nice but I can’t take chances not now that things are a bit complicated.
“It shouldn’t have happened,” I murmured more to myself but she heard me.
“What shouldn’t have happened? You act strange at times, the other day, you almost collapsed at the staircase, and now again you suddenly have claws and sharp canines,” she blurted out with a narrowed expression.
“Hmmm….” I cleared my throat before lugging to the door, pulling it open and I stared back at her.
“Aria, I think that you need to leave now,” I said, gesturing to the door.
“Why…” standing up she asked with a confused expression.
“You ask a lot,” I mumbled.
“Because you scare me at times,”
“I was restless, that’s all……. I don’t have an idea of what you are saying,” I said, clearly, annoyed.
“Really….” She doubts.
“Yeah,” I countered.
“But…..
” I will appreciate it if you just shut your mouth,” I cut in with annoyance before she could finish her words.
“Fine!” She shrugged her shoulders after hours of noticing that she couldn’t get anything from me.
“Good but I would like to be left alone,” I signaled her toward the door.
“What!!” She exclaimed. “That I should leave?” She gaped at me.
“Yes! You got it right, so……”
“But I just……
“Shhh!!” I hunched her
“Just go, Aria…..”
She hesitated for some minutes, pointing toward the door, she swallowed hard before striding to the door. Almost to the door, she halts at her track and spares me a look.
“Thanks for coming….”
She nods positively before walking out of the room.
