Ryan’s pov:
I stomped back and forth on my bedroom floor, waiting for Liam to come. I can feel the rage rising with each step, no matter what I do or think the anger was still there. The pain that my mother caused and the idea of not knowing how to woo my mate. Counting to ten……. Or taking a deep breath, still, nothing happens. I can’t just come to terms.
I thought that finding my mate could make me happy but no! It had me confused and worried. I have been inside my room for days now, thinking about how to go about this whole thing. Liam wasn’t at fault, I shouldn’t have raised my voice at him…….. He didn’t do anything bad for wanting to check up on me, it was all my fault, I couldn’t have left her there but at the same time, I didn’t know how to explain to her that we are mates! Without sounding stupid. My mom won’t approve of us being mated to each other, she will request rejection and with how terrified and scared Ashley was that day. She won’t think twice before giving in, I just feel confused.

I cursed under my breath before collapsing against my wardrobe, my heart heaving up and down as I took in deep breaths and tried to calm myself down. My eyes began to burn as a low growl slipped out, shaking the room a bit.
“You know that we can’t have a word with Liam in this condition,” Ethan mumbled.
“I know and am trying to calm my nerves but it is difficult,” I said massaging my temples.
Dropping my head low, I breathed deeply with my eyes shut to know if I could calm myself. My hands curled in fists as the door pulled open with Bianca walking inside in all her glory. I felt irritated as she gave me her slutty smile ignoring my burning glares, she strode towards my bed and sat in front of me with her legs wide open. She wasn’t wearing anything and it was damn obvious to see, I instantly looked away “I have a mate, Ryan, remember….” I kept repeating the word in my head.
“You promised to have a word with me the other day but you didn’t show up and left me hanging,” she complained with a scowl expression.
“I am busy, Bianca,” I countered coldly.
“Too busy to make time for us,” she whined.
I clenched my fist tightly with gritty teeth, I glared at her “I am not in the mood for all this Bianca,” I griped.
“Calm down, babe…..” She mumbled selectively. “I just came to see you since you have refused to come to fulfill your promises,” she devilishly grunted.
“Don’t you dare touch me!!” I yelled before squatting her hands away.
Her facial expression turned cold with a hint of anger “If you think that you will play me then you might be joking……..”
“Have you asked yourself how Liam will react if he finds out that you break the brother code,” she said with a deadly smirk.
“What…… what are you talking about?” I said with difficulty.
“Will he remain a loyal subject if he finds out that you are having an affair with her sister!” She snapped with a taunting brow.
“Wait! Are you threatening me or what?” I hurl her a deadly glare. “You can call it anything but it is what it is……” she states.
“Don’t play dumb with me, Ryan, or I will crush you……”
“You dare not spill anything to Liam or I will deal with you!!” I warned desperately. What’s wrong with this girl? Why is she trying to complicate things for me? I have a mate out there.
“Then behave and let’s continue what we know how to do best,” hand roughing my shirt, she kept leaving a hot kiss on my neck.
“Stop it, Bianca, I have a mate!” The word got stuck on the tip of my tongue as the door was yanked open.
“You called me……
” Hmm….” I quickly shoved Bianca away from me, Liam stared at us in shock.
“Ouch…” she groans as her butt hits the bed.
“What’s going on here?” Liam asked.
“Nothing, you know……. Yeah, I mean that….
Gosh, I felt speechless not knowing what to say or do……. What do I say to Liam now? I hurled a deadly glare at Bianca, who just shrugged and focused her attention on Liam
” I was just trying to calm him down, he has been acting strange for a while now…. Locking himself in the room for days without food, without anyone to talk to,” she said nonchalantly with a shrug.
“Yeah, I needed someone to talk to and she came at the right moment, you know,” I gave him my phony smile. I quickly mumbled a thank you to Bianca before tearing my eyes away from her. I still wonder how she came up with this whole thing within a few seconds, she sure saved my life.
“Hmmm,” Liam nodded before staring at what Bianca was putting on.
“Ohh! About my dressing…… is nothing,” she waves it out with her hands.
“Since you are here now, I think I have to have my leave,” standing she gave me a **We still have some unfinished business** kind of look before exiting the room.
I released the breath that I was holding immediately after I noticed the door slammed shut. “You came?” I smiled forcefully.
“Yeah, you called…… sorry that I didn’t come on time, I was busy sorting out some things,” he apologized.
“Hmmm…… About Bianca and I, the thing is that.
” Is nothing, Ryan, you have explained it to me so it’s nothing,” he cuts in before I could finish.
“But please I hope you are not sleeping with her,” he asked.
“Ye……ah, I mean yes we are not sleeping together. She is like a little sister to me, so sleeping with her is impossible,” I stammered with a forced smile. My heart is beating so fast, I feel restless within.
“Fine,” was the only word that he blurted out.
“I trust you,” he said, earning a nod from me.
“So you called,” he said.
“Ryan!” He called.
“Hmm…. Yeah,” I snapped out of my dazed state.
“What’s wrong, you alright?”
“Yeah, I am more than fine,” I mumbled. “Yes, I called to tell you that I am sorry for raising my voice at you that previous day,” I said with drawled lips.
“Is nothing, bro, I understand that you are not in a good mood but I have a question why were you outraged?” He asked, startling me.
No! No! I can’t tell him about Ashley, not now. I don’t think that I am ready to tell anybody about us.
“Nothing….. I just don’t,” I swallowed before proceeding with what I am saying “I just don’t like how my mother treats that poor girl,” I muttered.
“You think it is just that, or is there something you are not telling me,” his brow arched up.
“I have told you everything, bro, come on,” I patted his shoulder before moving towards the bed to sit down. My hands were sweaty due to how nervous I was.
“Fine, if you say so,” he said with disbelief. I know that Liam knows me too well, he can see through me and that’s why I couldn’t hide a thing from him. I know that he doesn’t believe the makeup story about me and Bianca and this particular one too.
“So you said that you were sorting some important issue, like what?” I asked, trying to change the topic.
He sighed “How could I have forgotten so soon,” he murmured. “Is about the mystery girl” he uttered.
“What about her?” I inched closer.
“Two people witnesses having seen her in the woods some couple of days ago,” he states.
“Two people,” I repeat.
“A father and son,” he replied.
“But according to them, they ran away immediately. They got a glimpse of her,” he said. “They said that she was lurking behind the trees there,” he voiced out.
“But I walked through the woods that day and I couldn’t see anything or did she hide away?” I murmured but he heard me.
“Maybe she hid away with those cursed powers of hers,” Liam reasoned.
“Yeah, I think so,” I whispered.
“If we want to do this kind of thing, we need a strong witch behind us,” he muttered.
“Yeah, I think so,” rubbing my temple, I mumbled.
“I think Cora will be of help,” I voiced.
“But you said that she doesn’t know what she is doing,” Liam enunciated.
“Yeah, but we have no choice….. She is the only witch that I know in this whole realm,” I shrug.
NOTE: HOW WILL HE KNOW THAT THE SUPPOSED GIRL IS UNDER THE SAME ROOF AS HIM AND WAS NO OTHER BUT HIS SUPPOSED MATE?
