Chapter 135

Logan Bohen POV
The Founders Ceremonial Hall.
It wasn’t anything new of who I am and what secrets I hide so dearly. I am Logan Bohen, the second son of the Bohen’s family but then, I just couldn’t help it, the desperate longing of my wolf to someday rule the founding werewolves’ of New Kingston.
And I couldn’t help but end my brother’s life and that is one secret I intend to carry with me to my grave, yes!
But then, someone from nowhere, one that we thought was gone for good, a weakling among men, resurfaced and now, I have to fight with the daily torture from that one man who I am yet to know what really he wants from the founding families.
Was it just revenge or were there some other ulterior motives backing up his return to New Kingston?
And finally, he made himself known as he attended the founders’ banquet meant for powerful alphas and a recently extinct pack, The Night Wolves pack comes to limelight again with Collins Morgan as its alpha.
Now, the biggest question I am left with is, “To what extent will he go to get whatever it is that he wants?”
“Does he have a secret as well?” “What is the one weakness that he has that can give us leverage over him?”
And lastly, I couldn’t stop thinking about the negative side of the whole story, “Will he win the founding families?”
I tilted my lips at that thought as I dropped the glass cup containing vodka in it as I raised my head upward as I looked outside the Founders’ ceremonial hall.
“No way!!” I scoffed.
The glass cup left a light thud on the cabinet that rested at the wall.
“There is no possible way he would win. We have the entire judges and cops in New Kingston in our pockets and come to think of it, the media as well. So how does he plan to win against us?” I scowled as I rolled my eyes.
I looked outside as I saw 10 Bentley cars pull into the compound. I exhaled heavily as I knew what followed next.
Whenever they came down this way, then it meant whatever there was to be discussed was of so much importance.
“Hey?”
I turned around as Jack’s right hand rested on my shoulder.
He exhaled heavily as he forced out a broad smile on his face. “I hope this ends well.” He said in a husky voice.
“Have you heard from Alicia yet?” He questioned as he looked right into my eyes.
“No! There is a lot going on right now and I don’t think I want her to get involved in all this.” I responded in a calm and relaxed tone as I forced out a smile as I looked away.
“They all seem happy. Don’t they ever fold up?” Owen chuckled softly as he stepped in, getting closer to the window.
“Well, I guess they don’t!!” I responded as I kept staring outside as I watched them shake and embrace themselves warmly, indulging in whatever discussion as they walked into the hall.
“When all this is over, I will finally be able to have a nice sleep.” I shrugged. “No more thinking about that scumbag, Collins…”
Owen had stepped further as he turned to me. “Ahem.” He cleared his throat as he looked right into my eyes. “And what about your uncle, Jayson?” He questioned as he tilted his lips.
I groaned inwardly at the thought of uncle. Jayson as I still couldn’t figure out what exactly he was doing in New Kingston and why he was now Collins’ friend.
Everything seemed off and thinking about it only did nothing rather than to frustrate me and I wish I had the chance to rip off his heart or his head from his body!!
I exhaled gently as I turned to Owen. “And what do you want me to say to that?” I said with a smile. “You know, I don’t even know why he is here. All of a sudden, he reappears in New Kingston and not even up to a month, he wants to be a hero and you know what?” I scoffed as I turned around, looking at Jack and Owen now.
“He sulks at trying to be a hero. Isn’t it?”
Jack and Owen turned around as we all looked at Peterson who now made his way in, alongside Patricia and Helen McKinsey.
“Exactly, he sulks at trying to be a hero!!” I answered Peterson as he wore a broad smile.
Owen and Patricia embraced warmly as they kissed themselves.
“Now, that is pathetic!!” Peterson rolled his eyes as he looked at Owen and Patricia who chuckled softly at his remark.
“We are talking about the issues at hand. We are talking about Collins and also, uncle. Jayson who is currently a friend to Collins and you both still have the time to exchange kisses? Oh! Horrible.” Peterson scoffed as we all laughed.
“They are here and the meeting will be starting anytime from now. I just hope they have something reasonable to talk about.” Jack muttered as we all turned around as they walked in.
My eyes met with my father’s eyes, Alphonso Bohen and I could tell that he was in his not-too-happy mood right now.
The pack warriors bowed as they made their way in and then, they walked down to the secret lair which was beneath the ceremonial hall, having the tall bookshelf as its passage.
Ian Eriksson had paused as the rest of our parents walked in. He turned around, wearing a broad smile as he looked at us.
“You kids should wait outside. There was a change of plan, we will just have an alphas’ meeting instead and if we need any of you, we will let you in.” He said in a calm voice as he looked at us for the last time before walking inside.
They went along with their betas before shutting the door against us.
