Chapter 731: I Told You Johnny Was Unreliable

Perhaps due to the pregnancy, Tilda found herself sleeping a lot.
This time, she slept until it was dark outside.
When she opened her eyes, she faintly heard voices outside, including a man’s voice!
She instinctively strained her ears to listen carefully, afraid that it might be her father. Luckily, it was her cousin.
It was no surprise. Malcolm would come once he knew Rosalind had returned to the country! Tilda could already guess that.
“Malcolm, you’re here,” Tilda said as she walked out and noticed that Malcolm’s gaze towards her was strange.
She quickly glanced at Rosalind and asked, “Did you… tell my brother?”
Rosalind nodded. “Yes, I told him about your breakup.”
So, she didn’t mention the pregnancy.
Tilda smiled knowingly and sat down next to Rosalind. “Malcolm, I had actually planned to tell you about this. I just thought you were already in a bad mood, and if I told you this news, you would feel even more uncomfortable.”
“See?” Malcolm’s face turned serious, and his eyebrows furrowed deeply. “I told you that Johnny was unreliable, but you didn’t listen! Now that you’ve cried your heart out, have you finally realized your mistake?”
Tilda stuck out her tongue. “I just wanted to give it a try! He treated me well at the time, but I didn’t expect…”
“There are many things you didn’t expect! Fortunately, you haven’t gotten engaged yet, so it’s too late. But if you had already gotten a marriage certificate, do you have any idea how much this could affect your future?”
When Malcolm learned that Tilda was going to get engaged with Johnny, he was so angry that he wanted to beat up Johnny along with Tilda!
“I know, Malcolm. Please don’t scold me anymore! Rosalind is still here. Leave me some dignity.” Tilda knew that her cousin, being a teacher, could go on lecturing endlessly, so she used Rosalind as an excuse.
Rosalind understood Tilda’s intentions and interjected, “Alright, Malcolm, she already knows she was wrong. She broke up with Johnny, and she wasn’t in a good mood. Cut her some slack.”
“Tilda! You’re always so troublesome.” After Malcolm finished speaking, he sighed heavily and then looked at Rosalind. “Rosalind, about hiring a lawyer…”
“I’ll find the person myself and see if anyone can help me! If not, I’ll apply for legal aid from the government.” Rosalind had already contacted several law firms, but no one wanted to offend the Walters family.
She knew this path would be difficult, but she didn’t expect to encounter resistance even before taking the first step.
“I’ll help you look too! We’ll definitely find someone,” Malcolm said.
“Okay,” Rosalind nodded.
She wasn’t discouraged at all.
In her hands was the evidence Ulric had given her. It was practically irrefutable. Whether or not she had a lawyer didn’t matter.
If all else failed, she would go to the police with the evidence or seek help from the media!
There would always be a way out.
Malcolm stood up from the couch. “It’s getting dark. I should head back. Tilda, take care of Rosalind… take care of yourself and call me if you need anything.”
“Okay! Bye, Malcolm!”
Tilda and Rosalind saw him off and watched his car leave before heading back to the apartment.
“Phew! Thank God you didn’t tell him about the pregnancy. Otherwise, he would’ve scolded me to death!”
Rosalind helplessly replied, “You didn’t say anything, so how could I dare to say it?”
The breakup was something they would eventually find out. Whether or not she mentioned it didn’t matter anymore.
Tilda smiled as she was about to enter the apartment building when she vaguely saw a familiar figure in the distance.
