Avery P. O. V.
“Ouch! I am holding my head. I look up I saw Jacob Whites standing there watching me with a smirk on his lips. I didn’t want him to know I was eavesdropping or spying on his best friend’s conversation. I know I shouldn’t even be there listening to them about Elijah’s mate and everything.
But I was curious about who it was. A little part of me was hoping it was me being his mate. But I know that is a lie. Am not good enough to be the Luna and mate for Elijah Woods. I sighed and I listened to Jake and Elijah walking and stopped in front of me and Jacob.
“What the fuck!” I heard Jake and Elijah say at the same time with a growl.
“Now fellas, Jacob said with his hands around my waist. I looked down, and Jacob and he stared at the guys. They didn’t like me around Jacob. So, Jacob let go of my waist and step away.
Good, I can breathe now, and the guys can stop giving him murder looks and growling at their friend. I smiled up at Jacob, but he was six feet away from me.
“Hey fellas, what’s up,” Jacob said to them.
“Oh, nothing, what’s up with you,” Jake said staring at him and then at me. I see the look he is giving us. So, what I am around Jacob he friend. I am not diseased or anything. I can be friends whoever I want. So, I give Jake and Elijah a serious look on my face to tell them. They are not my boss. I can be friends or even date anyone I want. They can’t stop me.
“We just chatting, is that right Avery,” Jacob said to me.
“Yeah, actively, I ran into him about a homework sheet he copied off of me.” Here you go, Jacob. Well, now I give you that.” I see you around Jacob.” I tell him and walk away from their loud voice yelling at each other.
Jake P. O. V.
“What the fuck!” I heard Elijah yelling at Jacob.
“Hey now fellas, don’t get mad at me” I didn’t do anything to her.” She just ran into me, and she give me our homework sheet from English class that’s all.” Jacob said.
“Yeah, right! I know you know about what’s going on.” Elijah said anger at Jacob.
I am not fucking stupid Jacob!” I know you know about the bet!” So, if you don’t mind.” Leave her alone” he told Jacob with a growl.
“What bet!” Jacob whispered it and looked around making sure no one heard him and us talking.
“Wait a minute, Elijah!” I asked him. What bet are you talking about?” I asked Elijah am giving him a confused look.
“Nothing, bro,” he tells me. I know he is up to something. But what is it? He better not hurt our mate. “But who knows about him.
Elijah P. O. V.
What the fuck is going on here I thought. When I saw Avery and Jacob in the middle of the hallway touching and holding on to each other. But when I and Jake walked around the corner, they drop their hold on each other. I saw guilty on their faces.
“I don’t know E but I am not liking this” Axel said to me with a growl in his voice.
Hey, it’s probably nothing, she knows she got a mate out there. She won’t do anything to hurt her chance founding her mate.” He tells me. I want to believe him, but why would she want me after I treated her like shit. I wouldn’t want me either for a mate.
I sighed and I saw Jacob staring at me with hurt and worry on his face. I should know my best friend wouldn’t try to take my mate away from me. Well, mean us. What I mean is Jake too.
Hey, I am going to go” I talk to you guys later at football practice.” Jacob said with a smile on his face.
“Yeah, I see you later buddy” Jake said giving Jacob a handshake and I went over towards Jacob and give him a pact on his back.
“See yeah later man!” I tell him. He nodded at me and Jake and walked away.
I watched Jacob walk away from us.
“You believe them didn’t you about the homework sheet in their English class.” Or you think it was weird how she was out there in the hallway, and she somehow got the piece of paper out and give it to him.” I said to Jake.
“Yeah, I believe my mate, you should too buddy,” Jake said to me.
I nodded my head. Your right Jake” I shouldn’t be like this.” I am just afraid she doesn’t want anything with me.” I know in the lunchroom I shouldn’t have done that trip her and making out with your sister.” I am feeling awful, and I know I hurt her. I can feel bold of being mates.” I said to Jake. I am the bad guy. She shouldn’t want to do anything with me. I am going to be rejected by Avery. I can feel it. I need to start being nicer towards her, or I am going to be mate-less.
So, I made up my mind. I am going to start treating Avery Williams better. No more bullying and tripping her and calling her names anymore. Well except pet names for her when we were in the bedroom once we mated. I thought with a smirk on my face.
“Dude, I am standing right here.” I can hear what you’re thinking about our mate.” You’re making me horny to go grab her and show her how well she going to be taken care of. If you know what I mean.” Jake said with a cocky grin on his face.
Okay, I’ll stop it, I said with a chuckle. I didn’t want to get too excited in school. Everyone will see I am hard, and I don’t want to show them. So, I started thinking about our gym teacher Miss Walters because she looks like a butch with a mustache.
“Ewe, gross dude, I am going to puke” Jake said holding his mouth.
“That the point dude,” I said in my mind. I giggled in my mind.
“You guys are sicko,” Axel and Ax said in our minds.
I and Jake started laughing and walking to our fifth-period class. I know we going to be late for the gym.
“Oh, man now I am really going to be sick,” Jake said.
Oh, just don’t think about Miss Walters in gym class today. Try to show you’re going to be sick either. She will find out you have been thinking about her naked. So, stop it!
“Shut up Elijah! Gross.” He ran into the bathroom, and I started laughing walking into gym class with a whistle on my lips.
