Arya’s POV
I woke up to the cool breeze blowing away my curtain and the sun peeping into the room when the breeze had stopped. It was serene and beautiful. In this artistic way, peaceful way I cannot explain. My brain dredged up events from yesterday and the smile deepened. I couldn’t believe that was Jake. I mean how he know I was there and most importantly, how was he able to come to the club, in the middle of the black moon pack. I thought Chase banned him or something. Then I recalled it was a costume party. Of course no one would know the alpha of the east high pack was there.
I stretched and let out a deep smile. A smile began to appear on my lips.
I couldn’t believe it. For the first time in a long time I felt fully rested. Not half. Not little. Not almost. Fully rested. I felt this peace from within and right there and then I knew that the day would be an awesome one. I put on my slippers and went to the bathroom to take a leak. After I was through, I put on some music. Ready to dance as I did some chores.
I was sharply pulled away from that moment by a sharp knock on my door. I barrowed my eyes. Who could it be by this time of the day?
My maid only came until later. Was it Chase?
Instantly I ran to the door and opened it. A big smile on my face but it was instantly wiped away when I saw who it was.
“Kelsi” I tried to feign happiness.
She walked past me into the house. ‘I know you were expecting Chase but he’s not yet back” she sat on my chair. I role my eyes as I locked the door. How does she know everything I think?
“Come sit, we need to talk”
“Hello morning, my night was awesome?”
She smiled. “I’m sorry”
“Yeah you should be” I smiled back. “So could be so important that you wouldn’t even say hi to me?” I asked with a pout. Kelsi stared at me for a moment. Then she stood up and grabbed my hand.
“Hey where are we going?”
“You will see”
She took me to the balcony, we stood there and she didn’t say a word.
“See w-“and that was when my eyes landed on the fine young man standing in front of a car, pressing a phone. Jake.
I recalled the message. “I’ll come see you tomorrow”
I clasped a hand over my mouth. Kelsi grabbed my hands a pulled me back into the house. She turned, facing me. “Start talking”
I looked at her and tried to smile but the stern look on her face discouraged me.
“You know- “then I remembered I had not told her anything about my decision to forgive Jake. I smiled. “Kels, come on we need to sit” I pulled her to a chair. “It was after I had that fight with chase and you wouldn’t talk to me. I met Mika in a bar….”

Kelsi stared at me for a while. She had on what I usually call her thinking face.
“You sure about this?” she asked for the umpteenth time with a raised eyebrow. I nodded smiling.
“I just want to make peace with my past. That way I can have a clear relationship with Chase.” She lifted up her head and looked into my face. Her shoulders and torso loosened slightly. She was really ready to fight with me but now that was the case.
Kelsi took in a deep breath, nodding.
Her face began to transform. She had on a smile that was growing. I burst into laughter. Finally I had someone on my side.
She stretched her arms towards me. “Come on let me give you a hug”
We hugged and we burst into laughter. She released me smiling. “I trust you okay?” I nodded. “Just go do your thing okay?
I nodded. “Yes mummy” Kelsi feigned anger and I burst into laughter.
“You look like a chipmunk” she joined in the laughter.
One hour later, I was dressed in an on gown and a denim jacket, pairing it with a sneakers. Kelsi helped me pick the outfit.
“Alright go Babe, ill lock up” Kelsi pushed me towards the door. I turned around and blew her a kiss.
“Thanks mum” and she made to chase me out of the house.
I got downstairs. Then Jake was not seeing me. I took a moment to look around me. People were staring at me. Some sternly, some blankly. I took in a deep breath. This time was not like before. This time I got one operon on my side and my intent this time was different.
I took in a deep breath and walked to his car.
“Jake?” he looked up and his face transformed into a smile.
“Wow Arya… I don’t know what to say”
“Good morning” I said shyly. I wasn’t comfortable with the way he was looking at me.
“Hope I didn’t keep you waiting for long?” I asked.
“Not at all” he smiled. “I just arrived”
I smiled. “Liar”
He chuckled. With his teeth out and his hair in curls, he suddenly looked like that little boy I had a huge crush on.
“Come on let’s go”
“Sure”
Jake opened the door and then I walked in. while he was trying to get his own side, I looked up to see Kelsi. She smiled at me and gave me the thumbs up. My heart did a flip. Support was important. No matter how small.
The swinging of a car door shut brought my attention back to Jake.
“Where are we going?” he asked.
I looked at him and smiled. “Surprise me”
He nodded smiling. “Your wish is my command.
Jake drove the car. He kept moving to this remote part. At some point I became scared, but when he stopped in front of stream, a smile came and rested on my lips. It was the same one we used to go to when we were young.
