Eve.
Three months later.
Mom and grandma Nini insisted on taking care of Declan and Damian while Jason and I went out for a date.
According to her, we’ve not gone on a date for a while so now that the babies don’t want their mother all the time, we can go out for a bit.
Jason insisted that I put on a blindfold because it’s a surprise and I had no choice but to do as he said.
Not that I couldn’t refuse but who would refuse a surprise anyways?
“Where are we going?” I asked as I got into the car.
“Somewhere special.” Jason said getting into the car as well and he began to drive to God knows where.
It took a while but the car finally stopped and Jason helped me out of the car.
“Let me prepare you for what you’re about to see.” Jason said and I snorted. I could tell that we weren’t in some hotel or big restaurant because of the air I could feel against my skin.
And then Jason held my hands dragging me to where we were going, with the blindfold still on my face.
“Are we there yet?” I muttered slowly.
The surprise was taking too long.
Jason snorted and before I knew it, I was picked up in bridal style. I yelped, wrapping my hands around his neck for support.
“You could have warned me, you know.” I complained even though I was leaning against his face.
“As expected, at the end of the day, you still snuggle in my arms.” Jason said as he kissed my cheeks.
I remained silent after all and relaxed in his arms.
He finally stopped and I perked up.
“You can remov…” I cut him off by removing the blindfold from my face.
“What the hell is that?” I asked with my nose scrunched up.
“It’s a yacht.” He drew a laugh when I snorted.
“What can you say?, It costs like two hundred dollars but don’t worry it is just to take us where we’re going.” Jason said and I raised my brows.
“My real yacht isn’t here so we’ll have to manage this one for now.” He said and I still raised my brows in curiosity.
“So where’s your real yacht?” I asked.
“You’ll see.” He said walking away to where the captain was already waiting for us.
Hours later, we were arriving at our destination.
“Did you even get permission to sail on what’s probably international waters?” I asked as soon as I remembered.
“Well duh!”
“I even got the papers along to prove it.” He said, showing me some pieces of paper lying on the table.
I rolled my eyes and looked away.
“We’ve arrived maties!” The captain said and I scoffed.
“Who does he think he is?”
“Blackbeard?” I asked and Jason laughed.
“Let the man be, he’s been at the wheels for hours now, let him have his fun.” Jason said and I huffed.
“You’re acting like you’re pregnant again.” Jason teased and I hissed.
“I miss my babies.” I mumbled and he nodded.
“You’ll see them soon.” He said.
“We better.” I said.
We soon got out of the god-damned yacht and stepped our foot on solid ground.
“Where the hell are we?” I asked and Jason chuckled.
“We’re in Italy baby.” He said excitedly.
Soon, the taxi guide that was scheduled to take us to the hotel room had arrived.
As for the yacht, Jason got permission from the patrol unit to dock at the nearest harbour given that he paid a required fee to have it there legally. It didn’t seem like he was doing this for the first time since he already had all his documents and all that was left was just for him to place his permit on the window of the yacht so that it wouldn’t be removed.
On the way to the hotel, I suggested that we go on a Gondola ride as I had seen it in movies and Jason wasted no time in accepting my request right away.
It was like he was stalling for some reason.
Nevertheless, we were driven to the nearest gondola harbour and I couldn’t help but grin broadly.
I turned to Jason and pulled him into a short kiss and he blushed.
Once we arrived at the harbour, the driver started yelling at Jason for fraternising in his taxi and I simply chuckled as Jason tried to apologise.
Well, it’s not his fault I wanted to kiss my husband in the car.
Soon we were at the busy harbour with hundreds of people.
“Oh my goodness, I can’t believe I’m going to go on a bloody gondola ride.” I said excitedly.
“Let’s go take a picture before it gets overcrowded.” I said pointing at a place that wasn’t filled up yet.
I gave Jason my phone and crouched down with a smile on my face.
Jason took the pictures and I squealed happily once I saw how good I looked in them.
“Let’s check the food out.” I said dragging Jason all around like I knew where I was going.
“Oh my goodness, Italian cups!”
“Italian spoons!”
“Italian plates!” I squeaked in excitement.
I bet the onlookers could tell that it’s my first time in Italy.
“Are you even listening to me?” I asked Jason who seemed to be on his phone.
“Yes, I am.” He answered, still not looking at me.
“Enough about work, let’s have fun.” I said grabbing his phone from his hands and pulling him along to God knows where.
We looked around trying different kinds of games and buying all sorts of things as a souvenir.
I was definitely going to brag about this to Max.
“Can we go now?” Jason asked and I rolled my eyes. He just had to ruin my fun!.
“Whatever.” I mumbled and Jason flagged down a taxi that would take us back to the hotel.
We arrived at the hotel and instead of going up to our room, Jason insisted we check out the hotel.
I mean we could totally do that later but he insisted and since I insisted on going on a Gondola ride, I just had to agree to it.
We checked out of the hotel and soon we got to a church.
A church?
What’s a church doing in a big hotel like this?
Rich people tend to waste money when they have too much.
“Let’s go inside.” Jason said and I laughed.
“To pray?” I joked but he didn’t laugh.
Well, it was funny.
I gave in anyways, I followed him and once he opened the doors, I knew what all this was about.
Oh my fucking God!
