Eve.
“How dare me?” Max scoffed.
“No!, How dare you?” Max said angrily. He looked so pissed that I feared that he might explode.
“You can’t just waltz in here and try to disrupt my happy day with your struggling beards.” Max said and I almost laughed.
“You need biotin.” He said, gesturing to my dad’s beards.
I bet the crowd was shocked by his words. This is why you should never get on Max’s nerves. He’s going to shred you, thread you and gobble you down like fried chicken from McDonald’s.
“You would give better blow jobs than me because your cheeks look more sunken than mine when I do it.” Max said and the crowd erupted in laughter.
“I..” My dad stuttered unsure of what to say.
I mean what could he possibly say in such a situation?
But Max wasn’t ready to stop yet!
He wasn’t done with him. At Least not yet.
“You wanna be insulted?”
“Hell, I’m insulted just looking at you.” Max said and spat, shocking me even.
“You need some help with how skinny you look, your collarbone must be filling up with water everytime you bathe.” Max said, pointing at him.
“If you came here to eat my fucking food then maybe you’ll look better afterwards.”
“Someone should get a meal there please..” Max scoffed and the crowd roared in laughter once more.
“You wanna threaten me when you look this pitiful?”
“Ugh!”
“Don’t make me laugh!”
“You look like the ghost of a poor man’s past.”
A lot of claps and ohhhs were coming from the crowd and I was beginning to wonder if this was a wedding or a diss show.
“You bean pole looking ass bitch looking like you barely survived being hit by radiation.”
How did he manage to say all those words at once?
It’s like he’s not even breathing at all with how fast he’s talking and rapping these words.
“Don’t come to my wedding and insult my sexuality!” Max yelled angrily.
I looked at Ethan who was staring at Max in awe. He was probably wondering what he got married into and reminding himself that he should never get on Max’s nerve or black book.
“All my life I’ve struggled with how people looked at me differently so you have no fucking right to do any freaking shit like spoiling my joyous day with your foul mouth.”
“Trying to insult someone by throwing thinly veiled insult is just pathetic”
By the time he was done, he was panting heavily and my mom looked embarrassed while my father was spluttering in indignation.
They didn’t need a soothsayer to tell them anything before they got up and left the hall in embarrassment.
What could they possibly say?
Everywhere was quiet now after Max’s last words and the crowd was probably holding their breath. I was the one who broke the silence with a Loud laughter.
“Haha!!” I laughed loudly.
“Oh my womb!” I laughed and the crowd soon joined me in laughing.
I know it sounds odd that I’m laughing when my own parents just got dissed in front of my eyes but maybe if they didn’t do anything to deserve the diss then maybe..
Just maybe. I might be feeling bad for Max but we’re gonna agree that they both deserve it right?
People soon went back to doing whatever it is they were doing before the commotion early and soon, it was like it never happened.
Although Max still had a frown on his face and Ethan dragged him out of the hall before someone else would face the brunt of his anger.
“I’m sorry.” I heard someone say behind me and I sighed knowing who it was.
“Why are you sorry?” I asked once the said person came to my front and sat down just where my dad was once seated.
“If I didn’t forget my invite at home, they wouldn’t have been able to show up here.” He said and I smiled.
“It’s fine.” I said and he sighed.
“Is it really?”
“Sometimes, I wonder if this was how they were from the start or if it’s money that has blinded their eyes.” Isaiah said and I giggled.
“Money?” I thought not saying anything yet and watching as he stared at me expecting an answer.
“If someone is already greedy even without money then there’s no way they won’t get worse with time.” I thought.
“They’ve always been like that, don’t let it get you.” I said finally to Isaiah.
“I’m just worried, I think dad is just a bad influence on mom, she wasn’t like this before.” Isaiah said and I shrugged.
I really didn’t want to be talking about them on such a happy day so I decided to change the topic.
“How did you feel talking to Olive earlier?” I asked changing the topic and he blushed.
“It was okay.” He mumbled quietly and I smirked.
“Yeah, it was okay to talk to an A-list celebrity.” I teased and he smiled.
“She’s pretty.” He mumbled and I scoffed.
“She’s pretty.” I mimicked and we both laughed.
Olive is currently one of the youngest singers topping the charts on billboard and I had no idea that she’s Ethan’s cousin. Well, no wonder he wasn’t moved when I said I wanted to meet her a few days ago.
That day, I was reminding Jason about the tickets to a BTS concert that he promised on our first trip with the rest of the gang. Well, technically he made a bet with Max, not me but he did promise to take everyone to see a BTS concert so it’s basically the same thing.
Anyways, Olive was on TV while I was talking about it. We were watching a music video of her and I said I wouldn’t mind if it’s her concert too since I like her and she’s a beautiful celebrity. Max agreed while Ethan simply shrugged in response. I should have known that he wasn’t bothered because he already knew her in person.
Enough of those sappy shit.
I can’t wait for my own wedding.
