Eve.
It’s been three months since that incident happened but everything is fine now.
Infact, Everything was more than fine because right now we’re all sitting down in a beautiful auditorium watching two grooms exchange their vows.
Ethan’s family.
Turns out, his family aren’t that bad like Max thought they were. When we spoke to them two weeks ago, they apologised for being complete douchebags to Max, well Ethan’s mom to be more precise.
Max’s family. Well, not all, just his cousins and older sister. His brother and parents are still as homophobic as ever.
Jade and Patricia.
Detective Dave and her partner. I can’t believe Jason invited them too.
My brother – Isaiah.
We’re no longer on bad terms.
My immediate family of course- Mom and Grandma Nini.
And ofcourse, the best man of the day – Jason.
We were all present.
After all, a very important person was getting married and despite all the difficulties that we had gone through, we’re still together.
Because together, we’re stronger.
Ethan and Max exchanged their vows.
“Until Ethan takes my last breath, I will be the universe that protects the planet known as Max.” Ethan began.
“I, Max, whether happy or sad, will be your one and only fan that will always listen to you.” Max said giggling.
What’s with this cliche wedding vows anyways?
And together, they chorused.
“The two of us met in this vast universe by a special chance and became one. We vow before you that we will love each other more than we do today.” They said,
“Groom Ethan.” Ethan said.
“Groom Max.” Max said.
And they both exchanged a heart warming kiss earning a loud uproar among the crowd.
The wedding was over and everyone was all over the place.
Eating and merrying.
Jason was with Jade who just sat down barely touching the food he was served.
“Lighten up, it’s a happy day.” I heard Jason say to him.
“Nope, let me be sad.” Jade said.
“You’re such a drama queen.” Jason rolled his eyes.
“Don’t say that.” Jade frowned.
“I’m sorry?” Jason laughed.
“I mean why do you want to catch the bouquet anyways, Eve is the one who’s getting married next and your relationship with Patricia only just became official, so why are you so sad?” Jason said and I scoffed playfully.
I can’t believe he’s still sulking because I told him I’ll catch the bouquet myself despite being heavily pregnant.
Jason and I would have gotten married before Max and Ethan if he wasn’t badly injured from the car accident he was involved in three months ago.
He broke his leg, had to be on a wheelchair and then a cast before he could walk around fine.
If someone told me that he’ll be right beside me here three months ago, I wouldn’t believe it.
“Cheer up!” Jason said, pulling jade for a hug.
They soon disengaged from the hug and Jason got up to leave.
“And just so you know, you’re a cry baby.” Jason said smiling.
Jade smiled back. He really is a cry baby.
Jason was everywhere at the party. Although he always wore a cold expression outside, he went around smiling with everyone here and I would say he was almost considered a celebrity here, due to how popular he is here. Plus, he’s doing a lot of work because he’s Max groomsmen.
I couldn’t be Max’s Groomsmaid because I’m pregnant.
I simply sat down at the table thinking about what I should eat first in between the small chops and the fruits as I watched Jason go from one person to another.
He’s my man. Haha.
“Has he said anything so far?” Max asked as he sat down beside me
“No.” I said taking the fruits first since that was my conclusion.
“And you’re not bothered.” Max asked and I scoffed.
“He didn’t ask me to abort the baby.” I said eating the sliced watermelon in my fruit plate.
“Are you dumb?” Max asked and I laughed.
“Why would he be bothered about the baby’s gender?” I asked with an eye roll.
“What matters is that the baby is healthy.” I said and Max sighed.
“Besides, I asked you not to tell me or him until the gender reveal party but you went and told him but you still haven’t told me yet so why should I be bothered?” I hissed slightly.
“Whatever.” He mumbled.
“Just go and mingle, it’s your wedding after all.” I said and he smiled before disappearing amongst the crowd again.
“Are you enjoying the party?” I heard someone behind me and I chuckled.
“Jason.” I said with a mouthful of sliced bananas.
“Yes, my love.” He answered as he sat down beside me.
“You love our baby right?” I asked and he nodded.
“Ofcourse, I do, I wouldn’t never trade any of you for anything in the world.”
“I love you both so much.” He said and I smiled.
“Did Max tell you the gender of the baby?” He asked and I shook my head.
“Max is just teasing you, don’t take what he says to heart okay?”
” I love you and our little treasure a lot.” He said, making me smile even wider.
“Don’t ever scare me again.” I said to him and he nodded.
“I won’t do anything to cause you or treasure any harm, okay?” He said assuringly and I nodded.
“Are you sure you can catch the bouquet?” He asked and I smiled.
“Yes, Max said he’ll throw it in a way that I won’t have to jump.” I said and he chuckled.
“Okay then.” He said and moved closer to me.
“I don’t mind you jumping on me though.” He whispered and I smacked him.
“Ouch!” He winced in pain.
“No dirty words in front of my food.” I warned and he chuckled awkwardly.
“But I don’t mind hopping with you.” I said teasingly and he smiled.
“Let’s do that at home.” He said winking at me before disappearing into the crowd once more and leaving me to eat my delicious fruit salads.
