Jason.
After Max left, we talked about tons of other things and I helped her sit up since she said she was uncomfortable lying down.
One of the things we talked about included arguing about what nickname we should give our baby.
“What about gummy bear?” Eve asked and I laughed.
“What?, It’s cute.” She said frowning.
“How about lollipop?” I teased and she smacked me playfully.
“Babies are usually the size of a gummy bear when it’s within the first trimester which is why gummy bear would be the best nickname for our baby.” Eve explained and I nodded but I still wasn’t sold.
“What about Real?” I asked and she raised her brows.
“Real?” She mumbled with confusion.
“Yeah, after all, I still can’t believe this is real.” I said laughing and she shook her head in annoyance.
“Can’t you be serious for once?” She said frowning.
“No, but I can be real.” I teased and she smiled.
“You’re hopeless.” She said, still smiling.
“But seriously, they used it in one kdrama I saw last week.” I mumbled with a pout.
“Yeah right.” She scoffed.
“If only your employees knew you were a softy.” She said smiling.
“Okay okay, let’s suggest better nicknames.” I suggested with a smile and she shook her head but agreed nevertheless.
“How about lovely?” She asked and I shook my head in response.
“How about V?” I asked and she laughed.
“The stage name of a BTS member?, You’ve gotta be kidding me.” She said laughing.
“It’s just a suggestion and besides wouldn’t it be nice if my son had such lovely features like V?” I asked with a smug smile on my face.
“A child should look like his parents and not some random stranger and besides what makes you think the baby is a boy.” Eve asked.
“I can feel it and besides V isn’t a random stranger, he’s my friend.” I mumbled and she bursted into laughter.
“If someone heard you saying he’s your friend, they’ll think you’re actually being serious.” She said but I kept a serious face.
“But he’s truly my friend.” I said with all forms of seriousness.
“Kim Taehyung is your friend?” She asked, calling out V’s real name.
“Yeah.” I insisted even though that wasn’t true.
“Oh my goodness!” She squealed happily.
“You’re friends with a famous singer?” She said excitedly.
“Is that why you said your friend worked backstage?, That friend is Kim taehyung?” She asked loudly with a smile on her face.
Oh my!
I’m enjoying this.
Haha.
“Maybe.” I said playing along.
“Oh my goodness, is that why you didn’t tell Max because you want to surprise him?” She asked and I smiled instead of answering her.
“When Max finds out, he’s gonna be so happy.” She said and I just had to laugh.
I can’t believe she actually believed me.
“Wait, you’re lying?” Her smile fell.
“Yeah.” I said amidst my laughter.
“You’re lying?” Her voice was breaking and it was no longer funny.
“Kim Taehyung isn’t your friend?” She asked quietly and tears were beginning to trickle down her face.
“How could you lie to me?” She asked before breaking into a loud sob.
“Eve..” I called out surprised by her outburst.
I didn’t expect her to cry because I’m not friends with BTS members.
“I was just joking.” I said quietly feeling bad for telling a lie in the first place.
“That’s an expensive lie, you don’t even know how happy I was.” She said, still sobbing loudly.
“I thought h-he was even y-y-your friend b-b-but you were t-telling a lie.” She stuttered, still crying.
“I’m so sorry for lying.” I said, pulling her into my embrace.
I can’t believe I made her cry.
“But I’m serious about having a friend that works backstage in that crew and I can get the tickets to their next concert just like I promised.” I said hoping that it would cheer her up a bit.
“Okay.” She said sniffing now.
I sighed in relief.
Atleast, she’s no longer crying.
Do pregnancy hormones trigger the tears? I couldn’t help but wonder but one thing I know is that I’m in it for the next few months.
I just pray I survive it.
“I’m hungry.” She said as we disengaged from the hug.
“All that crying made me hungry.” She said quietly and I nodded.
“Should I get you food from the cafeteria?” I asked and she shook her head.
“Let’s order in.” She said and I raised my brows.
“Order what?” I asked.
“Chicken, pizza, burritos and watermelon.” She said smiling and I furrowed my brows in confusion.
Watermelons?
What’s that doing with all that greasy food?
Besides, is it right for her to eat all that food?
Do pregnancy hormones start from the first month of pregnancy or is this a bit odd?
I guess I’ll have to ask the OB-GYN doctor tomorrow when we go for our check up.
“Why?, You don’t want that?” She mumbled quietly and sounded like she was going to start crying again.
“I want it!” I said immediately before she starts crying again.
“I want it, I just think it would be better if we got only pizza and chicken, the burrito would be too much.” I suggested and she nodded.
“You’re right, let’s get only chicken and pizza, but half and half.” She said and clapped her hands together like a child given a lollipop.
“Half and half?” I asked and she nodded and smiled with glee.
“Yes, fried chicken and braised chicken.” She said and I frowned.
“I don’t think they sell it like that.” I mumbled but she heard me anyway.
“They don’t?” She asked, sounding disappointed.
Oh goodness, is she going to cry again?
“They do.” I said unsure.
“That’s great news then.” She said, clapping her hands once more.
“I know right.” I mumbled quietly with a fake smile on my face.
“Go ahead and order it.” She said, looking at me expectantly.
And I did.
I had to order two separate chickens, one pineapple pizza and watermelon.
Who even thought about putting fruits on pizza?
And what’s with the watermelons?
Gosh! I can’t believe I’ll be going through this for the next few months.
