Alice…
The sound of shattering glasses echoed in the empty hall.
Only the sound of something being smashed and my hard breathing could be heard.
That something being smashed is my car and I’m currently releasing my wrath on it while Mark watches from the sidelines.
We were currently at an abandoned warehouse. Mark drove us here the moment we saw Sophie getting arrested by the police and I just needed to release the anger I felt in my body.
I continued to smash the glasses and every part of my car until it looked nothing like it used to.
“Are you done?” Mark asked once I dropped the iron baton I was using to smash it.
I shot him a look and hissed loudly.
“Do you feel good about smashing your car?” Mark asked with a sneer.
“Shutup!” I snapped but he chuckled in response.
He seemed to be enjoying my rage.
“Why are you so pissed?” He asked with a look of innocence on his face.
Is he really asking me that question?
“Am I not allowed to be pissed anymore?” I asked angrily but he laughed in response.
“It’s okay to be pissed but you expected this to happen, didn’t you?” He asked with raised brows and I frowned.
“Wait, you didn’t expect this to happen?” He asked with wide eyes.
“Oh my goodness, you trusted that clumsy girl to do the work of a professional.” He said laughing his ass out.
“I didn’t expect her to get caught.” I said truthfully.
“Well, she did, move on.” Mark shrugged.
“You don’t think she’ll rat us out, do you?” I asked with a hint of fear in my voice.
“She’ll never talk, Alice.”
“You threatened to kill her brother, how could she possibly talk?” Mark asked with all forms of seriousness.
“You’re right.” I said as a matter of fact.
“She won’t ever speak.” I said smiling now. The rage from earlier is all gone.
“How did you know her brother anyways?” Mark asked and I ignored him.
“Tell me the juicy secret, why is she indebted to you?” Mark asked again but I still ignored him.
I heard him groan in annoyance as he ran his hands through his hair.
“But seriously, you should have left the job for a real professional, not some shabby clumsy house girl.” Mark hissed and I rolled my eyes in response.
“You just want my money.” I scoffed.
“Yeah, money maketh man, don’t you know that?” He shrugged in response.
“I thought you were scared, huh.” I smirked.
“You keep bringing that up all the time, won’t you ever stop?” He frowned.
“I won’t.” I giggled.
“Well, you’re right, I was scared, scared of going to jail, I don’t want to lose my freedom you know.”
“But everything should be fine since I’m not directly involved.”
“I just don’t want to get caught. That’s all.” He said quietly and I nodded in understanding.
“We won’t get caught.” I mumbled and he smiled.
“So what’s the next thing?” He asked and I smiled too.
“We’ll attack them when they let their guard down.” I said and he bursted into laughter like I said the most hilarious thing.
“When they let their guard down?” He asked, still laughing like a mad man.
“Yes.” I said with a frown imminent on my face.
“Sorry, that’s just hilarious.” He apologised but he was still laughing and it was beginning to get on my nerves.
“What’s funny?” I snapped angrily.
“W-what you s-said.” He laughed louder and harder.
“Mark!” I yelled in frustration and then he stopped laughing but he still had a smug smile on his face which was beginning to piss me off.
“What’s funny?” I asked sternly.
“Do you think they’ll let their guards down when Eve almost died?” Mark asked with furrowed brows.
“They won’t?” I asked with uncertainty.
“Of course, they won’t.”
“She almost got killed, do you think Jason will let her be?” Mark asked and I scoffed.
“That’s why I said we’ll give them time to let their guards down.” I answered.
“That would be too late!” Mark said with a raised voice.
“It would be too late, we’ve got to strike while the iron is still hot!” He said, slamming his hands on the table in front of him.
Ouch! Did that not hurt?
“How do we do that?” I mumbled and he smiled.
“You’ll see.” He smirked and I chuckled.
Since my car was already smashed and not usable, we had to walk out of the abandoned warehouse to catch a taxi.
“But don’t you think you’re even more excited to do this than me?” I asked as we walked away.
“Nothing excites me more than getting an alert.” He said smiling.
“So you’re doing this for the money?” I asked with raised brows.
“Yeah but I also want to see Jason crying like a baby.” He said and I rolled my eyes.
“You’re not doing this because of the silly crush you have on Eve, are you?” I asked to be sure.
“Nope, I’m not.” He said and I nodded.
“But seriously, you’re one to judge when you’re doing this because of a silly crush on Jason.” Mark sneered and I smacked him.
“Ouch!” He winced painfully.
“So you’re only doing it for my money?” I asked again and he nodded.
“Is that all?” I asked, smiling and he chuckled.
“Wellll, the kick he gave me the other day still hurts so I’ll like to pay him back for that.” He said and I laughed.
So childish!
We flagged down a taxi and got out of that hell hole.
It’s time to do something fun for a change.
Sophie might have failed to do the work properly but it’s time I stepped in and finished it myself.
I’m going to do this fast and clean.
Now, I don’t even want to have Jason anymore.
I’m just going to make sure that they never get their happy ever after.
If I’m unhappy, then they have to be unhappy too.
I’m still deciding who to wipe out anyways.
Would it be Eve?
Or would it be Jason?
That Eve seems like a tenacious woman, she just won’t die, so maybe my target now should be Jason.
Let’s see how they’ll survive this time around.
They won’t know what hit them!
Haha.
