Alice..
I waited restlessly in the car for Mark and the mole I planted at Jason’s residence to come.
I saw them approaching the car and I got down from the car and waited for them to get closer.
“So did she die?” I asked the moment I saw them.
“Die?” Mark scoffed.
“Do you think it’s easy to have someone killed?” Mark hissed and got into the car.
“Why are you so cranky?” I hissed as well and turned to face my mole.
“You tell me, did she die?” I asked but she didn’t say anything and simply looked down.
“Sophie!!” I yelled in anger.
“Speak up when I talk to you, did she die?” I asked once more in a cold voice, making her shiver in fear.
“No.” She answered fearfully and I slapped her in rage and she winced in pain.
“Why?” I asked angrily.
“Get in the car Alice, let’s talk somewhere else.” Mark said igniting the engine already seeing as I couldn’t drive with the surge of anger in me.
“Get in the car as well.” I yelled at her and she did as she was told.
We drove away from the back of the house and took the other road that led to another estate.
I was fuming in anger.
Mark drove to an abandoned warehouse which reminded me of the time I visited that clown that called himself – you know who.
Once we got there and the car was parked. I got out of the car and started demanding answers.
“Did she die?” I asked them for the nth time.
“You didn’t really think I would kill her, did you?” Mark scoffed.
“That’s what I’m paying you for.” I yelled angrily.
“Are you mad?” Mark snapped and I raised my brows.
“Excuse me?” I said sternly.
“Alice, if we get caught, I’ll be charged with murder, Sophie will be my accomplice but you?”
“You’ll be given a lesser term since you only instigated it. And you won’t even have to go to jail because you have someone that can bail you out.” Mark yelled in anger, shutting me up.
“So what happened then?” I said quietly, not feeling as angry as I was before.
“The deal was for us to confirm if she was indeed scared but she didn’t go to the store with Sophie which would have been easier but your stupid ass insisted we go to the house.” Mark explained like I didn’t already know.
“So what happened?” I asked, ignoring the explanation I already knew.
“She slipped down the stairs and hurt her head. I went to check if she was still breathing but I heard footsteps and we had to leave, Sophie followed me in fear.” Mark explained.
“If only you were more bold!” I yelled and walked towards Sophie and gave her another dirty slap.
“I don’t think you want to release your brother, if you want to help your brother, you’ll do as I say.” I yelled in frustration and started hitting her more while she sobbed, unable to fight back.
“Alice, you’re taking this too far.” Mark said and came to pull me away from her.
“What do you mean by that?” I asked, freeing myself from his grip.
“You’re not yourself.” Mark said and I scoffed.
“Not myself?” I laughed.
“I’ve not been myself since that girl came along.” I said angrily.
“Jason doesn’t even want you, and you know you can find a better person that would love you, why do you still insist on being with someone who doesn’t even care about you?”
“Are you that desperate?” Mark snapped and instead of getting angry, I simply laughed.
“I’m not like you, giving up when things don’t work?”
“That’s your area of expertise.”
“Running away when things go wrong.” I mocked him.
“You ran away from your responsibility.” I said as I paced around.
“You did drugs, drank and slept with all sorts of sluts just to run away from your responsibility, you are a coward but that is not who I am.” I said laughing like a maniac.
“Once I set my mind to something, I don’t back down until I get it, and that’s why our father has always preferred me to you.” I smirked.
“You’re just insane. At Least I know when to stop.” He said quietly.
“What we’re doing will put us all in danger. ” He said and I rolled my eyes.
“You’re the main character in my story Mark, you can’t back down now.” I warned him.
“You can’t control me!” He said.
“I can and I will.” I said.
“You can’t run away now, the police has already put out a search team for you, father wants them to put you in jail so you don’t try to embezzle his funds once again and I’m the only one who can save you.” I laughed loudly.
“I’m the only one who can save you both.” I said pointing at both of them.
“You help me pull those two apart and I’ll help you get what you want.” I said smiling.
“I’ll get you your freedom.” I said to Mark.
“And I’ll get you your brother.” I said to Sophie.
“Don’t you care about the consequences?” Mark asked and I scoffed.
“I’ve come too far to care about the consequences of anything.” I said quietly.
Mark sighed heavily and got back into the car and so did Sophie who had nothing to contribute. Not that I would give her a chance to talk anyways.
I sighed heavily and tried to calm down.
Don’t hate me..
I lost myself the day I lost Jason to that bitch – Eve. And even if it means that I would destroy anybody on my way to get him, I don’t mind.
If I have to lose myself to get him, I’m willing to do that because that’s how much I love him. I’ve loved Jason since our high school days but he never looked at me.
At first, I thought he was gay because he spent time with Kendall but when he rejected Kendall and said it himself that he wasn’t gay, I thought I had a chance.
The first time we had sex, we had both been drunk but I could feel that we both wanted it. I thought that after that day, our relationship would develop into something more but it didn’t.
I brought up the idea of being fuck buddies just so I could stay beside him. I have loved him for a longer period of time but Eve just waltzed right in and took everything from me.
Is that fair?
That’s totally unfair and uncalled for.
Mark thinks I just don’t want to accept defeat but it’s more than that. How can all my efforts over the years just go to waste?
How could he disregard my love for him that way?
I will make sure that he loses Eve in the cruellest way ever.
And if that doesn’t work, then I’ll make sure that Eve doesn’t get him either.
At Least both of us would be at loss – Eve and I.
I got into the car, sat down and sighed deeply before telling them my plan.
” You’ll go back there and act like you always do.” I said to Sophie.
“You’ll keep me posted.” I warned her.
“As for you Mark, keep stalking her like you’ve always been doing. When it’s time to strike, we will.” I said and Mark rolled his eyes and nodded before igniting the engine and driving away from the old abandoned warehouse to the main road where he dropped off Sophie to find her way back and drove me home.
Sometimes love takes you to the highest place and pushes you off a cliff in the cruellest way possible.
