Jason..
A few minutes after Eve left to look for Ethan.
“Here.” I said extending my ear piece to max.
“What?” He snapped and I rolled my eyes.
“So cranky.” I hissed.
“I’m not cranky.” He said in a loud voice.
“Yeah yeah..” I sneered, provoking him further.
“I don’t know what Eve sees in you.” He mumbled and I scoffed.
“I’m a dashing young man.” I said confidently.
“I’m a dashing young man.” Max mimicked in a high pitched voice and I laughed.
“I don’t sound like that.” I groaned.
“Yeah, you don’t.” He laughed and I smacked him playfully.
“Ouch!” He said laughing hard.
“Why are you laughing?” I asked laughing now because his laughter is contagious.
“It’s funny.” He said, still laughing.
“What is?” I asked, smiling now.
“You said you don’t sound like that when that’s exactly how you sound.” He said amidst his laughter.
“Is that how I sound?” I asked with a straight face.
“No.” He said truthfully.
“That’s great then.” I sighed in relief.
“You still don’t want it?” I asked extending the ear piece to max again.
“Fine!” He groaned and collected it from me.
“I didn’t know you listen to BTS.” He said once he listened to the song that was playing – Go Go by BTS.
“I’ve been a fan for quite some time, Eve told me you’re a fan too.” I said as I hummed to the music I was playing.
“Yeah, I’ve been a fan for a while too.” He answered as he bobbed his head to the music.
“Since when?” He asked me.
“Oh, I’m a baby army.” I said quietly.
“Baby..” he mumbled quietly.
“Jason, do you want to have kids?” He suddenly asked as he stared at nothing in particular.
“Kids?” I asked to be sure and he nodded.
“Yeah, do you want to have kids with Eve someday?” Max asked and I smiled.
“Yeah.” I answered truthfully.
“I want to have kids with Eve, although it’s her body and all, if she doesn’t want to have kids, then It’s fine by me.” I said to back my statement.
“That’s nice.” He chuckled and removed the ear piece from his ears and then turned to face me.
“You see, the issue with Ethan is…” He paused as if he was not sure how to continue.
“Is it about kids?” I asked since the question was kind of random.
“Not really.” He said and sighed.
“Wanna talk about it then?” I asked quietly.
“Is that okay?” He asked.
“Yeah.” I said, nodding my head.
“So it was after we had sex.” He began and I started laughing.
“What’s funny?” He raised his brows.
“There are better ways to start a story without telling someone that you had sex.” I said still laughing and his ears turned red in embarrassment.
“Sorry, I wasn’t thinking.” He smiled.
“Go on.” I urged him.
“Okay, so he..” his voice trails off.
“He what?” I asked, hating the suspense.
“There’s no way to start without going into details.” He said bashfully.
“Okay, shoot.” I smiled.
“Okay so..”
“He said he wished guys could get pregnant.” Max began.
“I told him only one percent of male could get pregnant in the whole world and that one percent is just fictional because it’s from those werewolves stories about male omegas.”
“He said he knew and he was just putting it out there but that someday, we could get a surrogate and all.” Max paused and looked at me waiting for me to say something but I simply gestured to him to continue with my hands.
“I asked what he meant by that and he said when we want to have kids.” He sighed deeply before he continued.
“It was a joke, I didn’t mean I didn’t want to marry him or have kids with him, it was just a joke.” He said in a broken voice.
“What did you say?” I asked.
“I asked if he thought I wanted to marry him.” Max said dejectedly.
“And?” I asked, waiting for more details.
“He got angry, well not angry exactly but upset ”
“He asked if our relationship was just a passing fling and if I was even serious about him. I tried to explain but he didn’t even give me the chance to. It was just too sudden, we’ve only been dating for what? Six months?”
“And then he wants to marry me, isn’t that odd?” Max scoffed.
“I proposed to Eve the day I met her.” I reminded him.
“That’s different.” He huffed.
“It’s not.” I said and sighed heavily.
“It’s not different.”
“It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been with the person, all that matters is how much you love them.
“According to research, it takes less than one second to fall in love with someone.”
“For you to even form a habit, it takes twenty one days, and you’ve been together for six months already?”
“It means you’ve formed new habits and even fallen in love over and over again.” I explained and he signed heavily.
“If you want to marry Ethan, why don’t you just say it?” I suggested.
“It doesn’t have to be a grand proposal or something, you could just tell him you want him to be your forever.” I said smiling.
“I didn’t know you were such a romantic.” He joked and I laughed.
“It’s BTS that made me this way.” I said and he scoffed.
“BTS don’t write love songs.” He said.
“Their songs are just as addictive as love songs.” I countered.
“That doesn’t make it a love song.” He rolled his eyes playfully.
And it soon turned into a playful banter.
“Okay, let’s make a bet.” Max suggested.
“What’s that?” I asked, feeling competitive already.
“We’ll play three games, whoever loses buys tickets to the BTS concert.” Max said.
“What game?” I asked.
“Cycling, fruit picking and ..” Max paused, unsure of what to add.
“Bowling.” I suggested.
“Deal.” We shook hands and did the pinky swear.
And the next thing we heard was a loud shout from Eve.
They were back from wherever they went.
“It looks like someone had a good time.” She shouted and we both turned to look at her.
That was when I noticed Jade and Patricia were making out.
How did I not notice that?
However, Max wasn’t backing out from his argument and so I didn’t back out either.
“Can I borrow him for a moment?” Eve walked up to us and asked.
“Okay.” Max pouted. I got up to follow Eve while Ethan sat down on my chair.
I didn’t hear what they were talking about but when I saw Ethan holding Max’s hands I smiled.
I just hope they resolve their issue.
