Alice..
I squeezed the bracelet that was in my hands in anger.
This was a limited edition bracelet and guess where I found it.
With Eve..
It fell off her hands yesterday when she asked me to leave that book Cafe.
I wanted to get this for months but I couldn’t. I was told that the last piece which was bought by Jason tech which means Jason was the one who gave her this expensive bracelet but why would he?
Why would he buy something so expensive for her?
Does he have feelings for her?
I quickly changed into something else, something more appropriate, something more seductive.
I am going to visit Jason and this time, he’ll be mine.
I met Mark outside my door the moment I opened it.
“You left me there!” He said the moment I stood in front of him.
“Where?” I asked as I looked at him and continued going downstairs while he followed behind me.
He looked like a mess with dishevelled hair and… Is that drool I see on his chin?
Yuck! Disgusting..
“You left me at the bar.” He said and I stopped in my tracks.
“You’ve been at that bar for two days?” I asked, smiling.
“Obviously.” He snapped, making me laugh.
“Brilliant, just brilliant.” I laughed.
“Nothing’s brilliant.” He mumbled.
“Okay fine, here’s a key to my house, take a bath, get changed and eat whatever you find in the fridge, you reek!” I said as I threw my house keys which he caught and I entered my car, ignited the engine, leaving him standing there and gawking at me.
“Change to what?” I heard him shout and it dawned on me.
I laughed as I imagined him in one of my clothes.
Hilarious! I thought.
I drove straight to Jason’s mansion and I must say, it’s been a while since I’ve been here.
Well, not quite a while if you count the day I came here with a drunk Jason by my side.
Not that my family house isn’t amazing but I’ve always wanted to live here. This estate was for a different kind of rich people and only someone like me who understands the rich lifestyle can measure up to the right expectations. I’m the only one fit to be with Jason. Only me!
I switched off the engine the moment I entered Jason’s mansion as the gateman recognized me, he opened the gates without asking questions.
I got down from the car and the cat walked into the big mansion.
“You there, where’s Jason?” I asked as I pointed at a maid who shook in response.
“He’s in his room, ma’am.” She said and scurried off to wherever.
I passed by the dinning and there I saw grandma Nini and Jason’s mom talking intently about something or is it someone?
Eve?, I heard as I eavesdropped on their conversation.
“Did she pick up your call?” Grandma Nini asked.
“No, mother, she didn’t pick up my call.” Jason’s mom said.
“I understand how she must feel, all the while she was here, he paid no attention to her, only running all around with that naked girl.” Grandma Nini hissed.
Naked girl? Me?
“She’s not naked, it’s a style.” Jason’s mom chuckled.
“Style indeed, who said a person can’t look just as good covered up, didn’t you Eve when she got dolled up? She looked very pretty, even Jason couldn’t take his eyes off her.” Grandma Nini countered.
“I’m not supporting Alice’s mother, I don’t like her either, I just don’t want you to involve the stylist, that’s a great sense of fashion.” Jason’s mom said, making me huff where I hid.
“Alice, don’t you know it’s rude to eavesdrop on people’s conversation?” I heard Jason say with a cold voice and I turned to face him.
“I w-wasn’t e-eavesdropping.” I stuttered. Why the fuck am I stuttering now?
“Whatever.” He said coldly as he walked past me and entered into the dinning room while I followed behind him feeling scared under the two mother’s gaze.
I’ve never felt so small in my life, how dare they?
“Good afternoon.” I said, trying to sound more confident.
“What’s good about the afternoon?” Grandma Nini snapped at me.
“Did you invite her here?” His mother asked him to which he shook his head vigorously.
Does he want to break his head?
“I came to see Jason and to say hi.” I said smiling.
“I brought these along.” I said, dropping the gifts on the table for its respective recipients.
“Take it back, I don’t want it.” Grandma Nini said, pushing it out of her sight.
“You heard her, your gifts are not accepted, I don’t want you for my son.” His mother said pushing the gifts back as well.
“Take your gifts and follow me.” Jason said, grabbing the two boxes, putting them back into the bags and giving them to me before he dragged me to the parking lot.
It wasn’t until we stood in front of my car that he let my hands go.
“Don’t ever come here like this again.” He warned.
“What do you mean?” I asked in confusion.
“You and I are over Alice.” He said and then he laughed.
“There was nothing between us anyways but it’s only right that I let you know that I don’t want whatever we used to do before, I don’t want to have casual sex with you, I don’t want you waltzing in here like it’s your home and I don’t want you bringing gifts for my family.” Jason said to me.
“That’s a lie.” I said in a broken voice.
“You’re joking!” I snapped.
“I’m not joking, Alice, I’m a married man now.” He said and I scoffed.
“I thought you got divorced.” I said, smirking at him. I’m sure he wasn’t aware that I knew that.
“How did you know that?” He asked and I laughed hysterically.
“I have my ways and your precious wife confirmed it.” I said as I stopped laughing and the tears started dropping from my eyes.
“Eve?” He mumbled surprised.
“Yes, I found her working at a cafe and smooching with another man.” I said, hoping it would stop him but it didn’t.
“Ethan’s cafe? That’s where she was all along?” He seemed genuinely happy.
“You can’t do this to me, Jason.” I said holding on to the hem of his shirt as he was about to leave me.
“Alice, I’m going to answer your question from last time.” He said, making me raise my eyebrows.
“You were right, I love my wife.” He said, breaking my heart into pieces.
“No!” I screamed and I gripped his clothes even tighter.
“I won’t let you go.” I said angrily and I saw him bring out a pair of scissors and cut the hem of his clothes that I held onto.
“I already did.” He said leaving me with a piece of clothing and calling someone to inform them that he found the whereabouts of Eve.
No!, I won’t let this go well.
I’m going to ruin this. I swear on my life..
