Clark’s POV.
“Good morning, Rex!” I greeted Rex the moment he made it out of his room.
I looked at his saggy eyes as I rolled my eyes. It was obvious that he wasn’t yet over with the banquet that happened last night.
He looked at him as he dropped the toasted bread and scrambled eggs as well as coffee on the table before turning to look at Rex who was still wearing his nightshirt and a boxer.
“Do you know how horrible you look right now? Come on, Rex! That was only just a mere dance yesterday and nothing more.” I scowled as I chuckled softly.
He turned to my attention as he looked at me. “Just a mere dance? Didn’t you see how their body made body contacts? Huh?” He shrugged angrily as he walked past me as he entered the kitchen.
“You know Elena wouldn’t dare be with another man? Maybe she just doesn’t want you around her for now but I know definitely she will eventually give in.” I muttered as I looked at him.
He turned around as he looked at me. “Mother would be bringing in new vehicles, so here!” He threw the car key on the table as he raised his eyebrows. “You will go to the seaport and bring them down here. Okay?” He muttered as he forced out a smile.
“New cars?” I gasped. “But we already have a good and functioning car here, why bring in more?” I questioned as I looked at him.
“Well, I decided to have a more luxurious life. Am I not the CEO of The Eleven?” He smirked as he looked at me.
His phone rang and without wasting any extra time I answered the call.
“Okay, they are here already. You better start moving your ass. I also had 8 more of our pack members tag along for security purposes.” He mumbled as he looked at me.
“Okay, I see you are serious about it.” I muttered as I sat down.
He sat down directly opposite to me as we had our breakfast and the moment I was done, I exited the room as I drove down to the seaport.
I alighted the car as I wore a broad smile on my face as I looked at the old faces I haven’t seen for a while.
“Oh, Achilles!” I shuddered as I walked down to him as we both hugged each other warmly.
‘”It’s been like a year already since we last saw each other. How come you are becoming a man pretty fast?” I scoffed as he chuckled softly.
“We don’t get any younger by the day.” He said as he rolled his eyes. “There’s a month left for my wedding.” He responded as he looked at me.
“We received a call from Luna that Rex needed our service.” Achilles mumbled as he looked at me.
“Yeah, very true. We have an angry werewolf on the loose and his vengeance is having a better part of him. So, Rex needed to top up his security till we achieve what brought us down to New Kingston.” I muttered as I turned to the other pack members.
I rolled my eyes as I realized that they weren’t just normal pack members but pack warriors.
“Mercedes Benz S-class.” I muttered as I walked down. I shifted backwards as I looked at the four black clean cars. “Nice choice.” I muttered as I turned back to Achilles.
“We better be on our way back to the house.” I mumbled as the pack members entered the cars two by two as I entered my car back as I drove down as they followed me behind closely.
We drove inside the building as I spotted Rex King who was standing close to the window as he looked outside.
He was neatly dressed in a black, pinstriped suit as he held his hands behind his back.
Achilles And I walked inside the room, leaving the remaining seven outside the house.
“Good morning, Alpha!!” Achilles lowered his head as he greeted Rex.
“Longest time, Achilles. How has Cleveland been?” Rex shrugged as he wore a broad smile on his face.
“Hasn’t been any better than the good old days.” He said as he smiled. “We got a call early this morning and we couldn’t waste an extra minute back home.” He muttered.
“Okay then. We need to be on our way out already. I will brief you all on your duties, it’s nothing much.” Rex muttered before walking away.
“Good morning, Alpha!!”
The seven pack warriors greeted him the moment he stepped out. He waved his hand as he looked at the four Mercedes Benz S-class. He grinned as he touched the third one before entering the car and I entered the front seat alongside Achilles and the other pack warriors entered as well as we drove off.
We got to the front of The Eleven and the first person my eyes met was Marie. I looked at how elegant her legs were, fixed inside her shoes.
We alighted the car as they escorted us to the front of the door. Four stayed back as the other four proceeded inside the building including me and Rex.
And on getting to the elevator, Achilles stayed back with the other three as Rex and I proceeded to the top floor. “So, I guess this is where we get to say goodbye till noon.” I muttered as I looked at Rex who said nothing to me rather than taking the briefcase from my hand as I exited the elevator, leaving just Rex alone.
“Oh, heh.” I chuckled softly as I bumped into Marie. “How… How did you manage to get up here this fast?” I chuckled as I looked at Marie as my eyes went down to her outfit, I couldn’t help but to keep staring at her.
“Two elevators, remember?” She scoffed.
“You… you look beautiful.” I complimented as I looked at her eyes.
