Mia’s POV
It’s weird. It’s so weird that they are being too nice to me. Yesterday, Sean sent away someone who wanted me to explain something to him about the techniques I learned, and I couldn’t explain it to him. Today, I tried to look for the poor guy, and he was just avoiding me like a plague.
It’s all thanks to him, and a lot of guys seem to be avoiding me too. Did they do something behind my back, like telling them weird things, and now they are avoiding me? Or could it be the fact that everyone thinks I’m still a monster now?
I mean, since I already took care of those girls and made them pay for what they did to me, I’ve never been so happy. It was the first time I got full revenge on someone and paid them back the way they paid me.
Though what I did might be too cruel, it’s nothing compared to what they did to me. I was still merciful enough to let them live, so they should be happy with that. And after all, the coordinators are not blaming me for anything.
Somehow, they don’t know I’m the one who did that, and those girls didn’t bother to tell them I was the one behind it. Is it because they are scared something might happen to them if they talk? Or they don’t want their image to be tarnished, so they want to leave on their own?
Whatever the reason is, they helped me out, and I’m glad they got the hell out of my way. At least I won’t have to see them anymore around me.
I was on my way to get something to eat when the brothers suddenly crossed me.
For a moment, I didn’t understand what was going on, and I wanted to talk, but I decided to ignore them and move away. To my surprise, they were following me behind without saying anything, and they were giving me quick, peace smiles. It was so creepy that I started to walk fast.
To think that they still continued to follow me! I decided to stop somewhere and question their intentions.
“Is there a reason why you all are suddenly following me with those creepy smiles on your faces?” I asked them.
“We’re not following you with creepy smiles. We just want you to be happy, and we are trying to do our job to protect you,” Rolex replied.
“Protect me? This sounds so much like you have an ulterior motive, and I’m going to find out soon enough. That being said, stop following me,” I said and turned around to leave again, but they still continued to follow me.
I stopped again. “Tell me, what exactly do you want from me? Can I help you?”
“Are you going to eat lunch? Let’s go together. We came together anyway, and our job is to protect you.”
“You guys should stop being so weird and leave me alone. I don’t need you all to protect me. I can certainly protect myself. Besides, you said you wanted me to focus on my training. Is this how you help?”
Getting no answer from them, I was satisfied that they were actually going to give up. But it was not true-they didn’t give up at all. The entire day, they kept bothering me and following me around. It was so tiring and annoying at the same time. Like, why don’t they get it?
Daisy looked at me and then back at them while we were trying to relax somewhere. She could see them from a distance, and they were all watching me. It was creepy as hell.
“What is going on, cousin? Do you have anything to do with them now? Why are they all looking at you like that?” she asked me.
I had the same question to ask, but I didn’t know. “I already told them to stop bothering me,” I replied to her.
“They look like they discovered something, and now they have to stick to you to make use of that secret. That’s the only thing I see here. You know I’m very good at judging people,” she said.
“They discovered something, and now they’re trying to get close to me because of the secret? What could they have discovered? There’s no way they could have discovered my secret, but it’s kind of fishy the way they are following me around. It’s true that they might want something.”
“What do you think I can do to get them off my back? Should I frame them again?” I asked her.
She looked at me in shock. I forgot I hadn’t told her that I was the one behind everything that had been happening to them and that I’d been trying to get them into trouble.
“What do you mean by framing them? Don’t tell me that you’ve been trying to frame them for things,” she asked me.
I nodded innocently. “I did some things to get them off my back, but it wasn’t successful anyway. It only got them more fans.”
She looked at me for a moment and hit me a little. “Then you should have told me about it, and I would have helped you prepare the perfect plan!”
I thought she was going to scold me for doing that, but she’s actually not happy because she wasn’t able to give me a plan that was perfect enough to ruin their lives. This is one of the reasons why I like her. She never criticizes what I do; instead, she supports me all the way.
“I didn’t want to implicate you with my nonsense. You know, it’s a bit hard to plan something when those people are smart enough to avoid things. I don’t know why they are so lucky and I’m not,” I said sadly.
“Don’t say that about yourself. You are a very lucky person, the luckiest girl in the world. Don’t you understand how important you are to me?”
“Ooh… You’re such a smooth talker, and I’m already blushing,” I teased her.
“By the way, you can actually get them off your back by giving them some task to do. Since they don’t have a lot to do, should we just tell them to clean the entire place?”
“This suggestion is a bit too hard. Isn’t that going to ruin their reputation if I did that?” I asked her.
She shook me so many times to get me back to myself so I actually knew what I was saying.
“Don’t let them fool you. You should make sure you get them out of your way with this opportunity. It’s a foolproof plan. You can’t waste it!”
