CHAPTER 104

Book:Stepbrothers Punish Me Every Night Published:2025-3-17

Mia’s POV
He wants us to sit down and talk about the past?
What could we possibly be reminiscing about?
There’s nothing good about the past that we should be talking about.
And if anything, he should be more than ashamed to ask me for something like this.
Why does he think he has the right to ask me this?
“I think you might be getting the order wrong here. You and I have nothing to talk about,” I said to him.
He nodded. “We don’t have much to talk about if you keep pretending to be someone you’re not. Deep down, you know we have a lot to talk about.”
Is he trying to make me confess everything I went through so he can see me in pain again?
No way.
I’m not going to break down in front of him. He doesn’t deserve to see me break down again.
“I think you should just stay away and not bother me. I wanted to quietly watch the stars, but it’s become noisy now, so I’m going.”
I stood up, but he stood up with me and grabbed my hand.
“Mia, we’re sorry for what happened. We’ve been apologizing ever since we came back. Are you really not going to forgive us?”
I pulled my hand away from his.
“If you really want to apologize to her, then you should look for her grave. Stop coming to me-she’s already dead.”
I didn’t let him say anything more as I walked away.
If I stayed with him even a minute longer, I might have let out all my resentment.
I’m not going to let that happen.
Not now.
I came here to focus on releasing my powers, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do. I went back to the room to sleep, but it was hard.
I couldn’t stop staring at the ceiling all night. I couldn’t stop thinking about them.
It’s as if they wanted me to keep thinking about them.
Forgiveness?
How am I supposed to give that out so easily when it was so hard for me to come this far?
I decided to stop thinking about it and closed my eyes.
After a while, I finally fell asleep.
In the morning, we went to the big hall for breakfast.
The brothers joined us, and while they tried to talk to me, I continued to ignore them.
But I noticed someone watching me. It was the bully from yesterday. I know what I said to him embarrassed him in front of a lot of people.
He must have some resentment toward me. Even if no one else sees it, I need to be careful. In a place like this, anything can happen. There’s no way he would just let it go after what I did to him.
He’s probably cooking up some kind of revenge plan.
I’ll be ready for him.
“Why does this bully keep looking at you? He must hate you for what you did. Could it be that he’s planning something against you?” Daisy asked.
Immediately, the brothers looked back and saw that he was staring at us.
But the moment they looked at him, he looked away.
“I know he won’t forget what I did to him so easily,” I told her. “But it doesn’t matter. I won’t hide from it.”
She held my hand reassuringly.
“You have me. I’m strong enough to hold off someone like him. And you also have some skills. There’s no way he’ll be able to hurt you.”
“Don’t just say she has some skills. She has us here,” Rolex said to Daisy. “He won’t be able to get close to her even if he tries.”
“Then do your job and protect her well. Don’t let her get hurt by this bully,” Daisy said. “I wonder what pack he’s from. I should report him to my father.”
She grabbed her phone, but I stopped her.
“We shouldn’t do that for now. What if your father storms in here with warriors? Let’s just focus on training.”
She agreed. “You’re right. We should focus on training. That’s the most important thing right now.”
After breakfast, we were gathered outside to be shown the basics.
Some people were called to demonstrate their skills, and then we were introduced to different powerful werewolves who would teach us their techniques.
I realized this place might be one of the best training grounds I could ever get.
I’d have the real experience of training with someone who didn’t know me.
And I’d get real experience defending myself against an opponent I wasn’t familiar with.
However, the person I was supposed to spar with ran into the woods.
I went to look for him.
I don’t know if it was a trick, but I still went anyway.
Even if it was just him, he wouldn’t be able to do anything to me.
They probably chose the weakest person for me.
I searched everywhere for him, but I didn’t see him.
“What the hell are you hiding for? We’re supposed to be practicing together, but you decided to run away. Aren’t you a coward?”
I shouted, but there was no response.
Seeing that no one was coming, I decided to head back and report the situation.
But all of a sudden-
A long dagger came flying toward me.
It struck my stomach.
Blood started pouring out fast.
I tried to dodge the next one, but I was too weak.
I fell to the ground, realizing this person had poisoned me.
Of course.
You can’t easily kill a werewolf unless you have something deadly. Something they’re not supposed to be exposed to. Poison-made to harm werewolves by dark magic witches and hunters.
My vision was blurry, but I could see someone approaching.
“You offended someone you weren’t supposed to,” he said. “Now you can run your mouth in hell.”
I saw his face clearly.
And I remembered where I had seen him before.
Yesterday, when I confronted the bully-he was right behind him. He didn’t say anything then.
Let me guess.
He’s doing this because of the bully? I watched him walk away without another word. Of course, I had to pretend this would kill me.
Even though the poison was painful, I managed to fight through it. I guess he underestimated me too much.
Now, I have to show him what I’m really made of.
